I have a gut feeling that with Kincaid out, this is the week we see Davis up for the first time.
-
Oddly, I feel like they extend Torrence before they even think of re-signing Edwards or McGovern. Beane likes to pay his picks.

Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills
BuffaloBillyG replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
The general perspective of the fans (not reliable, I'm aware) is they don't expect to see him for another 2 weeks. Which is good because Bucky is skilled...but the Bucs have other good RBs. -
I think we need more than a simple retooling. I think this team needs a short term "re-Bill'd" From this point on in the season there is a legitimate argument to be had why the Bills could lose each game from here out. I don't think they will, of course. But there are no "easy" games left. Well, maybe the final week against the Jets. Bucs, Texans, Steelers, Bengals, Pats, Browns, Eagles...all could be trouble. If we don't win the majority of those games and are coming off a 1 and done wild card appearance or worse...they are going to have to make waves this off season to build excitement for the new stadium.

Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills

This is a really bad matchup for us. Solid defense. Can run the ball well and Baker Mayfield has been really good this year. -
Jeffri Chadiha's Unwavering Belief In The Bills
BuffaloBillyG replied to MPL's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok. But can he scheme washed up WRs open? -
Safer? How has the "safe" path worked out? Would you say our offense is better then it was under Dorsey? How about Daboll? Would you say our defe is better with the safe pick of Babich? Yes, new schemes result in new players. But let's not act like it's unheard of to teams to find success when transitioning. It happens literally every year around the NFL.

I think that's still to come One thing Schoen has done well is draft. Wouldn't shock me if he runs this years draft for the Giants and is let go right after. Now, he is the one I hope Beane brings back into the fold.

I think it kind of hurts his case that he didn't get much out of Daniel Jones and now in Indy he's balling out Also the manic nature of this board never ceases to amaze me. "Stop bringing back people from the past. We don't have time to revisit the past" Daboll fired. Same people: "BRING HIM BAAAAAACKKKK" Recency bias never ceases to amaze me. People forgot how frustrating Daboll was when he was here too.

That comparing apples and 10 speed bikes. One has had at least some measure of success in the NFL, the other is such a head case he's basically played himself out of the league.
-
Honestly, if we are going this route I'd rather kick the tires on Mecole Hardman. He's got a lot of speed, can get open and has big game experience.

Well here's an idea. Start by doing an actual legitimate search. Go back and look at the people interviewed for the OC position for both the Dorsey and the Brady hires. Do the same for the Babich hire. The common theme? They interviewed a couple of minority candidates, then hired from within. These aren't honest searches with the idea of finding the best suited guy to take over the position. These are egotistical hires that basically says "we hire the best people so the obvious answer is already on our staff". These are hires meant to keep the status quo, which is one thing if you're winning championships year after year. Quite another when you constantly come up short.

4th and 1: fake tush push into pass play
BuffaloBillyG replied to SunDSolar's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think, like with a lot of things Brady calls....the idea was ok. The actual design was horrible. Take that same play. Have Josh fake going forward. Then abruptly stop and throw a quick hitter to someone that slipped out on a short pass. The RAC is there if you complete it. But instead, no, let's heave it down field to the 3rd string rookie blocking specialist TE. -
And do NOT call a tush push next week. Vita Vea is a one man wrecking crew on that play. Which means Brady will call at least 4 of them

Dear Lord, People like this exist. And they reproduce. They are in our communities. They shop at the same grocery stores. They drive automobiles. Be safe out there y'all.

I really don't care what McDermott says in his pressers. I don't care what Brady says in his. It doesn't take much to know that this offense is broken. Just watch the games. Now, I know somebody is going to quote me with their "Well, ACTUALLY" type comment and throw some snazzy metrics/analytics the "prove" this offense is just dandy. And I will preemptively say to them..."WATCH THE GAME" Everything the Bills do on offense, even on "good" days looks so hard for them to do. It relies too much on Josh running around and "hoping" he can turn chicken 💩 into chicken salad. There are no "bread and butter" type played that they know can grab them a few extra yards. There are no easy throws designed to get Allen in a rhythm. And it's almost like Brady looks at what works and what players do well and says, nope, that's too easy. Far too often on third down for example, let's get Cook out of the game. Let's not let Josh roll out to his right where he can make plays choosing to run or throw. Nope. You get Ty Johnson and stand tall in the pocket. And if Shakir can't get open over the middle, we punt. It's the "Make a Wish-nowsky" offense. We have James Cook. We have Shakir short. We have Kincaid when healthy. Then we handicap Allen by removing Cook and any threat of a run on third downs. We remove Kincaid due to load management. And we ask Allen to put on the cape and make something happen. Bottom line is, yesterday, Brady and his offense got clowned by a defense that has been routinely torched all year, started Walmart greeters at CB and hasn't stopped the run all year. Yes, I know there isn't much to work with at the WR position. But every week I see players of the same talent level of Samuel, Moore and even Shavers make plays because they are schemed open with quick and easy routes. But Brady can't do that. I seriously think they need to pass the play calling sheet to someone new.
-
Possibly. But they did interview Curry for the OC spot before hiring Brady and bringing him on staff at a lower position. He's considered a "fast riser". Kromer is good at what he does and I do think they give him an interview.
-
And it will likely continue. If for any reason Joe Brady is out as OC after this year, the Bills will conduct a farce interview process to comply with Rooney Rules and hire from within. My guess is it would be Ronald Curry. But that's just a guess on my part. If they move on from Babich, I see McDermott taking over permanently again. I don't think there's a guy on staff that would be seriously considered.

Did you really type that sentence, look at it and think..."Yup....that's a great point"? In no world is any loss better than a win.
