  1. I saw this message and my brain registered it "I'd love a good massage" and it made the prospective bet even more interesting...
  2. That was my thinking. I wanted Hunter or Carter. Them both going top 3 left me with wanting to trade down and hopefully end up with a WR like Golden or Tet while getting extra picks. With no offers, I just took the top player on the board. I'm happy the way it turned out because it helps Maye in the long run not to have to be a "Josh Allen" where everything is on his shoulders. In the real draft this could be a spot where I see the Raiders, Saints or Bears moving up to get ahead of the others for Jeanty. Bears have the ammo to do it easily. Pats may end up doing well in this spot depending on who is willing to give up what to get ahead of the others.
  3. With the 4th pick in the NFL Draft the New England Patriots select: Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise St. I normally dislike taking a RB this high. But as pointed out in mock draft 1.0 there are 3 blue chip players in this draft. Hunter and Carter are gone so we will snag the third one. While we do have Rhamondre Stevenson, he was benched several times last year for fumble issues. He coughed up the ball 7 times last year. We can't have that. Jeanty is an elite runner who can split wide and is a dynamic playmaker. Our new coach is very used to having a dominant run game and this will help take some of the pressure off Maye in year two. Both by improving the run game and providing him with a playmaking target in the pass game. @BigdaddyinOrlandorepresenting the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the clock
  4. Yeah I don't see Hunter going first here changing much in this draft. Good chance in the real draft those are the first two off the board anyway.
  5. Even if he's suspended it won't be for as long as if he did something truly horrible like gamble or have PEDS in his supplements No. I think Hill is just a serial abuser that has never had to face consequences. And is generally praised and looked up to because of what he does in the field. Honesty if I'm timelining it it's more of an OJ Simpson vibe. Diggs is the WR that gives me Antonio Brown vibes.
  6. Patriots are open for business. Willing to slide down from the 4 pick, unless our guy is there. Willing to work out parameters ahead of time in the name of speedier transition of picks so the Mock draft doesn't get delayed during offers.
  7. Patriots Jets Dolphins
  8. Yeah, he didn't look great last year in Atlanta. But isn't this exactly the kind of guy Howie Roseman goes out and signs to a cheap deal only to see him bounce back and play at an All-Pro level for a year or two? No risk it, no biscuit. If he's open to a contract without much guaranteed cash, bring him on.
  9. Kind of hoping we see a lot of road games in the opening 6 weeks. Pretty soft looking road schedule. I'd take Panthers, Falcons and Browns early. Maybe sprinkle in a Dolphin or Pats road game in that window. All winnable even with the suspensions IMO. Fill that in with a Saints and one division home games and I'd call that about best case scenario.
  10. Clueless is not realizing that teams do this year in and year out. Especially early when they are trying to figure out what they have. Scaling Cook back early is smart as it will keep him for fresher later in the year. It gives the Bills a chance to evaluate Davis as a lead back. It gives the Bills a chance to see what they have and what they need before making any kind of hard line decisions about Cooks future. You know, a MASTER STRATEGY that teams have used in the past. As for the bolded, it's funny how you used his past stats and it's cool. I say what he did in a larger sample size and can't have that. Would be nice to know if it was a fluke season or this is who he is now before paying him. Indeed. Don't quit your day job.
  11. And 4 rushing TDs in his career prior to that. Him being phased out of the plan if the Bills feel or Cook is set on this being his final year in Buffalo makes a lot of sense. Let Davis start to find his groove. As far as trading him for a 3rd, you said that. Not me. And even if that's the return....better to get a higher 3rd than a comp pick at the end of the round....and that's even if the offer he signs qualifies that high. It may be a 4th. Depending on what the Bills do in FA the following year it may not be anything. Giants and Titans ended up with no comp pick from losing Barkley and Henry respectively. A bird in the hand so to speak. I agree. I'd definitely pick up a RB early day 3 to compete with Gore Jr. Keep the RB pipeline full. If he's there grabbing. Trevor ETN is a guy I like.
  12. Problem with this comparison is those guys you mentioned all played..what...30-40 years ago? Defensive players are soooo much bigger, stronger and faster now. Much more violent of a collision.
  13. Just read this on another site. It sounds agent driven, so there's a lot to take with a grain of salt here, but my gut is telling me Cook is going to end up seeing his usage scaled back even more as Buffalo can (especially early in the year) see what a backfield of Ray Davis/Ty Johnson looks like. This would potentially make Cook tradable at the deadline if the Davis led backfield doesn't have a significant drop off.
  14. Would be great to lock him down for another 3 or 4 years. Has been one of the better FA signings we have had over the years. His ability to play G or C at a high level is helpful especially if SVGP develops into a starter at C. Good problem to have
  15. So has Kaiir Elam. Doesn't mean I wanna bring Elam back and trot him out there.
  16. I like the player. Hate the injury. If history tells us anything, he won't be real useful most of this season.
  17. For me, I never take too much from Combine visits. Teams meet with a lot of players in a short time. And I've read sometimes these visits are done as a favor for some agents to start getting momentum for their clients rolling. Rarely do we know the depth of the conversation. Could be just a "get to know ya, make sure we have your contact info correct" or it could be time at the white board. I've compared it to speed dating. I'm watching more to the top 30 visits and what positions they focus on there. Time will tell For the most part I agree. Though, I do see the value in Lewis as he is versatile and eats up snaps on Special Teams. He's not a guy I'd want to start, but can get you out of a game at several positions. At least there's value there. So while I'm not impressed by him, I get it as to why he's a rosterable player. I feel like Rapp get a pass too much. He was just as bad if not worse at times than Hamlin but for whatever reason, Hamlin gets put in the cross hairs. I don't think either should be starters but are both ok backups. Would have loved to see a bonafide starter like Holland brought in at least at one position. Forrest to me is a non factor.
  18. Problem becomes there are only so many reps available in TC. If they select another Safety high it would limit Bishop's reps as he would need to split some of those. He needs the opportunity to develop. I would say the likelihood of drafting a safety high hinges on what they see as his reason for being so bad last year. If they feel he's just in over his head they may be open to it. If they feel it was mainly that he was still green due to lost time due to injury, they may double down on getting him ready. I know it's not popular, and I don't agree, but the the likelihood that the Bills view the safety position as less of a need than fans is fairly high IMO. They can make the case in the room that they have both starters returning, Bishop possibly taking a step forward. Again, I don't agree with that but I can definitely see a world that they do.
  19. Agreed. Now the honeymoon videos are a whole different argument...
  20. With the 68th pick in the draft the Raiders select: Wyatt Milum, OT, West Virginia We like Milum's toughness and strength. Seems to be fundamentally sound. Only issue we have with him is arm length, so the plan is to kick him inside to guard and let him shine. The Patriots and @section122are on the clock
  21. As with all of these predraft far fetched situations... It all depends on how the board plays out. That's the answer to most draft questions. You play how the board unfolds. Could it happen? Who knows. But who are the players that are there that mak it happen? No amount of "How would you feel about...." Is accurately answered without knowing who is on the board at that time. Something we won't know til draft night.
  22. Hard passes, soft passes, deep or short...he'd would likely allow the catch. Last year he gave up 54 passes for 679 yards and 10 touchdowns, tied for the most touchdowns allowed of any corner last season. As horrible as Rasul looked last year... I'd bring him back before grabbing this guy.
  23. Tells me they are starting to zero in on Ward at 1. If trade back was still an option, would have been smart to at least bring him in as a fall back option and get to know him.
  24. Obviously. But choosing 3 QBs who have the play flow through them and have more opportunity as opposed to other DTs that have a more passive opportunity to flash per game is....a choice. Almost like you don't understand that even if a DT is doing his job and doing it solid he isn't going to flash on tape. 👍
  25. I find it very weird you keep using QBs to compare Oliver to. Maybe the most bizarre comparisons I have seen
