  1. Being the Bills signed his former position coach there was talk of him being a possibility here. Also good to see where the bar is at the safety position before FA opens being the Bills may be in the safety market. There's not one but two possible tie ins with the Bills.
  2. Some thought he may be an option here. First safety domino falls. 2years $15M base isn't much for a guy with his background and experience. Safety market should be dirt cheap for the Bills.
  3. Say what you will, but they make a nice couple if you ask me.
  4. I do agree that he's always had a bit of an attitude issue. Aside from that however, the Patriots put on an absolute MASTER CLASS of what not to do with a young QB. - Aging coach with old defensive mindset - Lack of prioritizing getting weapons around him -Lack of consistency on the OL - Hiring Matt Patricia as an OC and doubling down with Joe freaking Judge as his QB coach (which is why I can't blame him for seeking answers outside the building) - Job uncertainty with the switching between him and Zappe. Now, I was never high on Jones and didn't think he would amount to much more than a low level starter. However he really wasn't given much of an opportunity or competent coaching either.
  5. Really not a great landing spot for him IMO. Will be firmly behind Duval Barbie. Maybe a year or two with Pederson helps his value next year...but no chance to even compete for playtime for now barring injury.
  6. This is a really nice breakdown and some good solid work by Joe. I agree with the majority of it. I've said elsewhere that Duvernay just seems like a Beane target. Gilman is a really solid S that would fit very well. Not sure I want to bring in Zeke. But that's mainly personal preference. We will need IMO a RB2 as even if they do bring Ty Johnson back, he's not that. If Johnson's back it should be to fight for that RB3/PS RB role. Right now we have Darrynton Evans signed, who Johnson beat out for that role last year. Brian Allen would be a sneaky good get. As would Carl Lawson IMO. I think he's got a little juice left.
  7. On paper, yes that's what he's "credited" with. Watching games, he drops much more than that yearly. Drops are always comically marked low
  8. Guy drops A LOT of passes. Does have some talent, though. I would be a buyer at nothing more than a late pick swap (we give them a 6th for Johnson and a 7th)
  9. Allen and Henry in the same backfield would be really fun to watch from a fan perspective. Not saying it should happen or anything about RB value or money or nothing like that. Just that it would be a lot of fun to see.
  10. TE room is now locked in. He's a pretty good #3 TE. Versatile. Will update with contract when available.
  11. Huh? Thought that 3rd was locked in...welp...after swapping the 3rd for Rasul...we are now OUT of the 3rd round at the moment. That's pretty significant.
  12. This is just my guess based on absolutely nothing other than how I look at it. I would think the Bills approached him about an extension. Especially with shedding Tre White. But I think the Bills wouldn't want to invest too many years into a guy his age. I'm guessing the two sides didn't agree on length and/or compensation. One reason I believe the Bills wouldn't want to invest too long into Rasul (aside from his age) is wanting to see if Elam takes a leap this year much like we have seen in the past from guys in their 2nd and 3rd year. They may or may not have something in him...but if they do it wouldn't make sense to have a guy like Douglas getting big money as an aging CB.
  13. He should. He's still playing at a quality level and a quality and experienced center isn't an easy find. My only question was if he would even want to keep playing having to start all over somewhere at his age. Guess he does.
  14. I'm going with Spencer Brown. He got better as the season went along and ended up not having a bad year. This will be his second consecutive "healthy" off season and TC. I think he continues to take steps forward and earns a decent extension.
  15. Contract details. As previously thought that "up to" was doing some heavy lifting. Feel like this is very good value to retain at least 1 guy that started games last year for the team.
  16. Quandre Diggs sees the writing on the wall😂😂
  17. It means we have FA and a draft to go through before anyone can set any kind or realistic expectations for the 2024 Buffalo Bills. The HOPE is a Super Bowl win, of course. But hope and expectations are 2 vastly different things.
  18. The only one I see possibly coming back would be Lawson. And that would be at or close to vet minimum. AJE and Floyd will likely get other and higher offers. Phillips strongly hinted at the end of the year that he may retire. I don't think he's back either way. I like Jones but have a feeling the Bills aren't eager to bring him back unless it's late in the off-season and very cheap. They seem to be moving away from older vets. Settle is still on the young side and I do believe he will get some offers. If they bring him back it depends on his pay and role on the team. He shouldn't see extensive snaps and if he's back in that role at a price that matches Im ok with that. He knows the system and can help on a 1 year contract transition to the next step there. The draft is where I attack DL.
  19. Thomas now expected to miss the beginning of training camp after injuring his foot during this rant.
  20. Hope I'm off base but I have Davis fetching a 4th MAX. Possibly even a 5th. Of course, it only takes one team to "Christian Kirk" him...but I see him getting about what Lazard got from the Jets last year which netted GB a 5th.
  21. It was pretty deep last year as well IIRC. GMs are turning the safety position into the same type of value the RB market has been placed at.
  22. Wait until the breaking news about Bruce, Andre and Thurman hits his AOL timeline...
  23. Have you seen him these days? Dude looks like a LBer.
