  1. I would tend to agree, but our issues started in TC. Maybe we infected him?
  2. He'll be back. They always come back
  3. This, IMO is not a bad look for Beane at all. A player was on waivers and he claimed him. He can't help that Slay had his heart set on Philadelphia. And from what I see, a team can't contact the player or agent and tamper while a guy is on waivers. Y'all would have lost it if Beane did that and it cost the Bills a day two pick. Slay wanted to play the system and got played. And even if his agent tries to play hardball and not deal with the Bills next year as "punishment"...it's a poor look on the agent. If the Bills are high bidder for a player he represents, he would be leaving money for himself and his client on the table. Dumb move. If the Eagles wanted Slay bad enough, they should have given something up at the deadline for him. Maybe they tried and he wasn't available then. But in any event he can report to Buffalo and play ball ..or sit home. Bills should easily be able to recoup his pay if he doesn't report.
  4. More important, every play they turn around and hand him the ball it's on less time they are throwing to Chase or Higgins. I HOPE they try and run the ball
  5. Agree. At some point in a HC's career they pretty much graduate from having to take a coordinator position. I believe, it's only happened once before. Off the top of my head the only guy I can think of that took that step down was Gary Kubiak. And I believe that had some to do with health issues. Once a guy coaches a team to a Super Bowl win, doors fly open. From being a talking head on pregame shows, to consultant jobs with teams.
  6. And if he does play, how long before he's in the blue tent. The don't call him Dalton Firstaid for nothing.
  7. Right now, I have Rams vs Broncos. Lot of time left and things can change. I think 8-10 teams have a realistic shot
  8. Maybe. But we might put 35 on their defense by halftime too
  9. Jackson has had an injury plagued year
  10. No. And that's not a negative about the Bills. There's just way too much parity in the NFL this year. Yeah, but see....4 years ago....
  11. You are seriously underestimating the chances of Josh Rosen coming back and leading the team that originally drafted him.. Arizona...to Super Bowl Glory. There will be Hallmark movies made about it
  12. It would. Helps our pass game as well. That defense is completely different when he's not there. This would be huge for us
  13. I agree with all your points, except the bolded. If McDaniel gets canned, he will, IMO prove to be a horrendous OC on his own. He basically brought Shanny's system with him and added speed. Once teams figured out how to limit the offense, he has had no idea how to evolve. He frequently gets locked into one mindset when calling plays and often abandons the run, despite his most dangerous offensive weapon being his RB. Not ideal when our best offensive player this year is our RB, and we tend to play more than a few games in bad weather every year. Add to that the Shannahan system he would likey run isn't really what Josh excels at. It's more designed for mediocre QBs with weaker yet accurate passing styles. Tua, Purdy, Mac Jones. Guy that get the ball out and don't go off script. That's not Allen and I frankly don't think McDaniel has the ability to tailor an offense around him.
  14. Shouldn't be an automatic win, period. Their defense is legit good and Judkins is a superstar in the making at RB. If the Browns come in and play sound defense and pound the rock, they very well could win that game. Definitely a team we need to score early on and force Sanders or whoever is taking snaps that day have to throw to come back.
  15. I think if either the long term coaches from that division are canned it will seal McDaniel's fate in Miami. Ross cannot resist big names. And truthfully, a Tomlin or Harbaugh is probably needed to reset the culture down there. Refocus guys from the club scene to the football field.
  16. That's probably the closest thing to the truth in this thread. Seems a lot of weeks we have an either/or and not a both. Though I will add this about play time and such. McDermott values guys being in the right place in the defense at the right time. I don't know who is supposed to be where at what point so I can't say who does it better, but that is valued with this coach.
  17. I'm so glad there may be a happy ending here
  18. He's coordinated a defense ONE season...20 years ago. And then double down with Daboll? This HAS to be satire.
  19. Why would we want that? Tomlin has less time as a DC than Babich.
  20. With both defenses being not so hot and both offenses being able to pile points, naturally this will be an ugly low scoring affair. Bills- 20 Bengals-11
  21. I'd take Jaylen Warren as a back up RB lol. He does well when he's more of a change of pace guy. I'd take Darnell Washington, that mammoth TE. Who knew that the son of a man nicknamed "Ironhead" would be so soft.
  22. Pittsburgh didn't trade Pickens because he lost his starting job and played horrible this year. Slay was even an healthy scratch at one point this year. Howie makes moves every year that don't work out. Just like every GM. Just as an aside, is there somewhere that even says the Eagles wanted him back that I missed or is this personal speculation dressed as fact? In any event, what's best for the Bills? Pulling in a vet on the way downside of his career, or getting out promising looking first round CB the most possible snaps and on field experience before the playoffs?
  23. Don't like it. He hasn't been good this year and it's one more guy that may take snaps from Hairston. Unless he can play the NCB role
  24. I suspect Bosa is out for this one, which sucks due to the Bengals not being good on the OL and Burrow being a statue. I will even say he misses a second game...but I don't mind him missing the New England game actually. Maye is shifty, probably not getting too many sack opportunities...but Bosa out means maybe we have someone in there that will set the edge against a good running team in a possible bad weather game.
