  1. I can't. And I'm not a "Super Bowl or it's a failure" kinda guy. If the Bills lose AT HOME in the playoffs for a third straight year in the Divisional round it is a failure to everything McDermott preaches. Growth Mindset. Defend your dirt. There's a path to beating the Ravens. They aren't as strong on the road. Take advantage of that. Control the game.
  2. Meh. Vrabel 's a good coach that gets his team to play hard. But he had some talent on his Titan rosters that he didn't do much with, even being one and done as the #1 seed a few years back. He's had mixed success against us, they blew us out before, we've blown them out before and a few tough close games....but he is not a great game day manager and I don't fear him as a coach. I still think the Patriots needed a complete fresh start in the building, not an old Patriot doing things the familiar way.
  3. This time tomorrow the board will either be filled with threads to Fire McDermott or talking about how Baltimore is going to destroy us. Nothing like Bills fan Playoff optimism!
  4. Seen this script in far too many Ravens games. Second half they pull away. Pittsburgh plays the run a little in the 3rd quarter, leaves Lamar able to throw to wide open receivers. Fourth quarter Henry plows a few long runs. Pittsburgh scores a little in garbage time. Ravens win something like 41-13.
  5. Kelvin Benjamin: "Hold my biscuit"
  6. Herbert with a perfect pass to Stngley
  7. Unless Pittsburgh wins. I still think it'll be an easy Chiefs win, but they will at least come out battered a bit.
  8. Steelers by any means necessary tonight. Would LOVE the Texans in Orchard Park next week if we beat the Broncos.
  9. Oh no. No no no. Make no mistake, my friend. This one's over.
  10. The Chargers have officially "Chargered"
  11. Never got the Herbert hype. Since coming in to the league I've watched maybe 15-20 Charger games. Outside of the one Monday night game a while back where he almost brought them back with his broken ribs...I've never seen him have a big game. I've seen his box scores he's out up numbers occasionally, but he's my pick for most vastly overrated QB of the last 25 years.
  12. I think you sell the offense short. Who are your other 2 difference makers? Because if you count Coop among them, there's also Shakir, Cook and Allen that are locked in as difference makers. Hollins is just outside that IMO. He won't take over a game but those 3rd down grabs make a huge difference. Kincaid has the ability to be a difference maker if they use him a bit better. Then you talk OL. Brown and Dawkins have been difference makers this year. I think it further speaks to your point however that the focus comes draft needs to be defense. Get me a couple DL early. Some backend help a bit later. Free agency go grab a WR that fits the offense if you don't retain Coop. Maybe a couple just above mid tier DL to fill out the room.
  13. And there's your official 2024-2025 Miami Dolphins All Scapegoat Team.
  14. What Ari says is true to the point of it being the same voters. I actually think it strengthens the case it will be Allen as some may very well have said "Well it's close so I'll take Lamar for this and Allen for that" to kinda split their voting.
  15. Cook is the obvious answer. Almost tooooo obvious. I'm gonna go with Big Mack Hollins. I think Keon sees something of a reduced role. Cooper may well have Surtain on him. It's a Hollins 2 TD kinda day On defense I think Bernard shows well
  16. To me it's like hiring a cleaning crew and then when the work looks good only one person gets credited. I'm sure Daboll did help. How much or in what ways we really don't know. But it took a lot of people. Dorsey. Palmer. Joe Brady. Dave Culley, McDermott, and probably 20 other guys that we don't know. Guys like Matt Barkley giving him tips (sometimes those who can't make the best teachers). Even with the way he cut down the turnovers this year a guy like Ronald Curry could have helped some The one person I see credited the least is Josh Allen. Sorry, but he's the one that had to devote the time and effort and have the drive to get better and remain coachable. Not to mention Daboll did bubkis for Daniel Jones or young QBs he had before his Bills stint like Brady Quinn or Jake Fromm...who he also had in Jersey for a bit. Daboll is fools gold that got his job because the GM knew him and he worked with Allen.
  17. Brian Daboll is basically Freddie Kitchens plus one lucky unsustainable season of luck.
  18. The only pick here that seems a bit off to me is Green Bay over Detroit, however with how dominant Detroit and even Philly have looked at points this yearI feel like a lot of people are sleeping on how good the Packers really are. They have a legit chance. AFC: Kansas City, Buffalo, Baltimore NFC: Detroit, Philadelphia, Green Bay IMO the Super Bowl match up will be from that list.
  19. I fully endorse the Dolphins trying to save face and have it blow up all next season especially if they start slow. Hill is the gift that keeps on giving.
  20. Not for nothing, but did you know Keon Coleman was rated one of the top PR guys in the nation last year? IIRC he was 4th. Hardy on the PS was rated higher. We'll be ok.
  21. Would they though? They basically needed 2 more wins to make it. After going out against us, the lost back to back games against the Seahawks in Seattle and the Titans who routed them. They beat the Pats and lost to the Colts. I might say with Tua they beat the Colts. Seattle in Seattle and the margin of victory for the Titans suggest even with Tua I think they drop those game. Then he came back and they drop the next 2 to us and Arizona. Then without Tua they go 1-1 to end the year against the Browns and Jets. Maybe they beat the Jets with Tua out there. But cold weather games aren't their jam either. Anyway, they may have made it. Maybe not if they had Tua for all 17. But I thinks it's certainly less than a slam dunk they do even with him. They just aren't a sound team.
  22. Exactly. The thread never goes away. If you notice I haven't commented but once or twice before that post on it. It's just always there. I was speaking more on it being unable to escape the chatter about it anywhere. Social media, weekly shows, heck even the broadcast of the game. Funny thing is even though I believe voting closes this week and it's a done deal...we will have to listen to it continue to be debated without the ability to change anything for another month
  23. I mean, yeah it very well may be. But if they already know who they want forcing two minority interviews in them isn't going to suddenly change that. Here's the thing. In their own minds even the Hamiltons and Leftwiches of the coaching ranks have to know what the interview is about. They have to know that deep down they have no chance. But yet they take the interview. There are minority coaches that will take any interview and that is what allows owners to get away with it. Years ago, James Lofton interviewed for almost every job to satisfy "Rooney Rule". Now sure, maybe someone takes an interview and blows them away ala Mike Tomlin, but it's not likely. If unqualified minority coaches would stop appeasing the owners it would prevent them from exploiting the loophole of the rule. And before anyone gets too far ahead of themselves as far as "Patriots Bad"....their HC search so far has resembled the Bills last 3 coordinator hiring practices. Job open-> Interview external minority candidate -> Interview 2nd external minority candidate -> Interview and hire who they already knew they wanted for the job (Dorsey, Babich, Brady)
  24. I said it in the Daboll discussion, but it is worth repeating. When you have to announce to the press that your GM and HC will be back next season....you need a new HC and GM.
