  1. I saw that was the fake Schefter account that posted that....
  2. Rest of league: Daboll is first coach fired this season. He doesn't make it past week 6. Baker Mayfield is firmly in the MVP conversation. Denver will push KC for the AFCW. They will fall just short, however will beat the Chiefs in the Wild Card round. Patriots beat out Steelers in final week for last AFC Wild Card spot. Tomlin and Steelers "mutually agree" to part ways. Bills Specific: Joey Bosa stays healthy. Ends season with 12.5 sacks. James Cook sees TD numbers cut in half AND misses 1,000 yards rushing. Still leads team in rushing yards. Dalton Kincaid proves last year was down due to PCL tear. Ends up over 75 catches, over 700 yards. Josh Allen posts better numbers than last season but loses out on a second straight MVP award to Mahomes. Josh does however, win Super Bowl MVP
  3. This thread is likely to get real ugly. Real quick.
  4. It's really not bad either. None of the injuries seem to be season long or would impact the regular season. They look like they will all be back fairly quickly. I will take that over an ACL, Achilles or a plethora of other things that could be happening. I just think they are taking a conservative approach and letting guys heal before practicing and making it worse.
  5. Oh without a doubt. And of course as the saying goes hindsight is always 20/20. I should add that it wasn't a swipe at anyone or anything like that. It takes a lot of work to keep the main page streamlined and topics of a variety of nature up front. More times then not you mods get it right!
  6. In retrospect...maybe there should have been a separate Wilkins thread lol
  7. Yup. And keeps the NFL dream alive a bit longer. It's not a bad job if you can get it at all.
  8. Someone has to catch passes in camp. Maybe he finds his way to the PS, but he may be wiser to rent over buy.
  9. Antonio Brown as the special referee.
  10. Right now the injury list is long, but the encouraging thing is these all seem like short term issues. All ACLs, Achilles tendons and such seem to be intact. I'm fairly certain a lot of these guys could play if the season started tomorrow. But it doesn't...so rest em and let em heal.
  11. And when he is caught doing skeevy creeper things...well superstar football players tend not to face the same scrutiny (especially on a football campus) as someone who is a normal student. That's what leads some of these guys into their odd behaviors when they are in the NFL and no one is sweeping up their messes before they get heard about.
  12. Hope he has a speedy recovery.
  13. Loving everything I'm hearing/reading on Coleman the last couple days. Sounds to me like he's getting a real "Alpha dawg" mentality. Hope it carries over to games.
  14. I have to give it up for the Rams. They do an amazing job just finding good impactful football players with the few picks (or UDFAs) they seem to end up with every year.
  15. It's a very odd injury that could be almost anything. Hernia? Maybe. Heck he could have slept wrong. Maybe Christian Wilkins paid him a visit? In any event, with him being the only kicker on the roster I'm not gonna panic until I see the Bills bringing in another kicker.
  16. Is Kincaid's knee a new one or remaining injury from the end of last year? Also, Bass...pelvis soreness...that's a new one for me. But the pads are on today. I think this is where Max starts to really shine. I hope to see a lot of positive notes about Sanders and the rest of our new DL.
  17. Not live. But I'll catch some highlights here and there. By and large, there really aren't many guys that make it that are entertaining enough speakers to be interesting. Now should the day come and Marshawn Lynch makes it...that's must see to me. Dude is hysterical.
  18. I feel like this isn't factored in enough when we talk about the defense in practice. They line up against Josh Freaking Allen every day. Of course they are gonna get their tail kicked. When it comes to a guy like Max, going against our all universe, MVP, Superman of a QB day in and day out is going to help him in the long run. Come time for the regular season, yes we have Lamar first...but that's followed up with games against Justin Fields, Tua and whomever is the winner of the Saints job. Even if he's taking some lumps now...I think he will feast come game time against the lesser QBs of the league. Get him all the experience we can in time for him to be razor sharp for January.
  19. Nevermind public. What's he like outside of work and in the privacy of his or someone else's homes? Are the pets safe? What's his browser history look like? Is his house the one everyone walks past on trick or treat night even though he's giving out the full size Snickers bars?
  20. Yeah, Tre isn't gonna just give the rookie the spot. If Max starts he's gonna have to fight for it. Not sure I've ever seen such an intense quote from Tre before.
  21. He looked good in practice while he was here, too. It was either last year or the one before he was getting the majority of reps with the 1s (ahead of Benford) and looked to be on track to be the week 1 starter. Then Benford passed him at the last minute and everyone was confused. Let's see him in live game reps. I hope he does well. But some guys shine in practice then flop on game day.
  22. In that scenario I would be keeping 6. Most likely it would come at the expense of Codrignton if he gets beat out for the return job.
  23. No. In other words the data provided does not match what most people are talking about when they talk "deep ball". It's not even comparing apples to oranges. Its like comparing apples to drywall screws. And yes, good old fashioned eyeball tests are still the best method. Data can be used to support what you see, of course. But data without proper context is often times misleading.
  24. The issue I have with this sentiment and these numbers is that in this day and age I don't think when people talk "deep ball" they are discussing 20 yard pass plays. You can quantify it any way that it needs to be sugar coated to save face for Josh, but he is not accurate on passes that are truly deep down field. I'm talking 40-50 yards. Moon balls as it were. Now granted the further the target the slimmer the window to hit it. And passes that deep require the ability of the WR to track it. But more often than not it seems like Josh is so scared to under throw and get picked off (arm punt) that he overthrows the target range by a fair amount.
  25. No. What caused that "dust up" was Stefs ego and toxic personality. Technically, I don't think what she said was incorrect. He just needed to do his PR and try and keep his reputation in good light.
