NFL TV Schedule and Maps: Week 6, 2019

Yay. A bunch of games I don't give a crap about. I may tune in to Dallas-NYJ just to see how Sammy boy looks. Other than that... blah. -
Zerovoltz 2019 Season Predictions

Still think the Bills will be 7-9 and that the Jets are legit? -
#3 in points allowed.

Milano Roughing the Passer
CLTbills replied to JoshAllenHasBigHands's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, but calling that isn't taking the low hits to the QB out of the game. That penalty serves no purpose. Penalties are supposed to deter players from breaking the rules. A penalty in that situation does not do that. -
Bye Week Musings About the NFL at Large
CLTbills replied to whatdrought's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. I think we all (Bills fans) expected this though. It's mind-blowing that the fans can see this from a mile out and the guys that own/run a multi-billion dollar company cant figure it out. Like when we hired Rex. Thankfully, Rex was so bad that the timing worked out to get Coach McDermott. If we'd hired a halfway decent coach and screwed around for four years, McD would have got his opportunity elsewhere. I guess in that regard, Rex was a blessing in disguise ? -
Again. I'm not saying that we'll beat those teams. Just that we belong in the conversation and can run with any of them. And you're correct with this statement "A rough game by a good Colts D doesn’t make the KC Offense less dominant." But how about a rough game by an even better Bills D? The only other great QB indy has faced is Rivers. And he didn't look all that great this week against Denver. They've played Oakland, the same Tennessee team we just beat, and a BAD Atlanta team. We played the greatest quarterback in the history of the National Football League and held him to less than 50% completion, 150 yards, no TD's, and a pick.

And who else in the AFC scares you? We've proven that we can run with NE. It'd be a tough game, obviously, but we're capable of beating them. KC proved that they're beatable by a defense that isn't nearly as good as ours. Cleveland proved again last night that maybe Baker ISN'T the best QB from the 2018 draft. Not saying we're going to win every single game, obviously, but there isn't a game out there that I don't think this team has a fighting chance to win. That includes on Thanksgiving in Dallas. I agree Figs. It's not out of the realm of possibility. It's going to come down to, like it does every year for every team, how does this team (offense in particular) grow over the course of the season, and injuries. How you overcome the inevitable injuries.

Josh Allen vs Bills History
CLTbills replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
THIS. I think a lot of people forget that Josh was the LEAST NFL-ready of all the QB’s coming out last year. While he’s progressed quicker than I think a lot of us expected, he’s still raw. He was never going to be a Mahomes. We all knew that. He was supposed to be a couple-year project. The fact that he’s where he is as quickly as he got here is a blessing, IMO. And he should still have a long way to go. -
Zay Jones traded to Raiders for 5th rounder

Bye bye Zay! Another move of wizardry by Beane to offload him for a 5th rd pick. -

I reacted to your post with the “thanks” emoji which is a mug of beer. I’m not actually saying thanks, just that i’ll really need a beer, or eight, if that were to ever happen! -
That final drive was amazing
CLTbills replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When the Titans KNEW we were going to run. That's what's most impressive. It's one thing to catch them off-guard. It's another thing entirely to do exactly what you want to do, when the other team KNOWS that you're going to. -
Taylor Lewan appreciation thread

Agreed. He's not a Bills homer by any stretch but definitely much better than Rodak! -
Bills' Super Bowl odds leap following 4-1 start
CLTbills replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That’s just it. The last time we started 4-1, it wasn’t a sustainable-type of winning. With our defense being this good through five games, this IS sustainable -
A Few Thoughts about the Titans Game, in no particular order
CLTbills replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh yeah. That's 100% what he was implying. I'm just saying, in the way they DID use him, I was much happier with the way they did it instead of running the same play 5 times, 1 time with great success and then four times with no success at all (like they did in the Cincy game) -
I don't see this. You dont give away assets for a position that you don't need. Beane is way smarter than that. We don't NEED a RB. Now, if we're talking a 3 and Zay for Diggs and a 5, I'm all in.

A Few Thoughts about the Titans Game, in no particular order
CLTbills replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will say, I loved to see that they used that play ONCE to great success, but didn't try to run it six times like in the Cincinnati game. It's great to run once or twice, but when you run it so often, the defense sniffs it out from a mile away. Great job by Daboll. -
Singletary will be a difference maker

That was kind of my thought. Not worth the risk in crappy conditions. -

How about getting a draft pick for Marshall Newhouse? Or getting a pick for Russell freaking Bodine? -

Still........ incredibly high rate of moves that the Bills "win" the trade. I remember watching the draft last year (when we drafted Allen and Edmunds) and thinking to myself that Beane is just incredible. It was masterful. Everything was thought out multiple steps ahead.
