So glad it turned out the way that it did. I truly believe, in 15-20 years, when their careers have all ended, Josh Allen will have been the best of the group. And I don't think it's wishful thinking.

beat me to it. I was just looking at it.... The defense has only allowed 22, not 30
-
And we gave up 50 or so passing yards on that last "drive" of the Giants game to close out the game that was garbage time.... yards we were allowing them to have. Take that out and we're either #1 or #2 against the pass.

I'd go as high as a 4th, probably. With the crop of talent coming up, I don't think he himself is a long-term need. Plenty of good, younger, cheaper options coming up in this year's draft. Now, if we beat NE week 4 and are 4-0, leading the division and conference, and the FO thinks that we are Super Bowl contenders THIS YEAR and he's the piece to get there, then I'm all for giving up more at that point.

Gase is awful. So happy the Jests hired him! -

Unfortunately, yes. My, how far ESPN and Monday Night Football have fallen. It's embarrassing for them. It truly is. MNF used to be this big, prestigious deal. Now they have Booger McFarland commentating games and show graphics of kickers doing a rockette dance. What in the actual F***? -
Is Josh Allen a Top 6 QB in the AFC?
CLTbills replied to elijah's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly don't think Lamar Jackson is better than Josh. I just haven't seen him throw the ball enough to be convinced. I and others said after last year, that he could be RG3 part 2. First two weeks this year don't tell me anything, as he's played the Dolphins and the Cardinals. I need to see a couple more weeks of him throwing the football. I'd say the same about Josh if he was still playing like last year. But he's proving that he can be a pocket passer, in addition to his ability on the ground. -

Not gonna lie. I chuckled hearing them get so excited over a field goal. Taking the NFL by storm, three points at a time. -

Hence why I was almost more excited with the Jets hire of Gase than I was when the Bills hired McDermott! -

Not every week... just long enough to inflict the same type of injury ? They were already virtually guaranteed the win -

Agreed. Those type of late hits should work like an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. 2 of them and you're done for the night. -

SNAP. yikes. Myles Garrett with all kinds of late hits on the QB tonight. -
I said the same thing. On one such play (it was the one where Beasley ran a curl and beat his man to the sticks) I literally said to my wife (who is happy because she says I’m much more pleasant to be around when the Bills play well!) third and 10? Josh will pick this up.. no big deal. And boom. Executed the play to perfection. And it’s not just Josh. We have receivers that can execute the play as well. That particular play was a perfect example. Josh executes his end, and Cole gets by his guy to the sticks. Absolutely beautiful. At least when you consider the last 20 years of being a Bills fan.

I don’t know. Both of them are pretty much plain as day. Especially the one against the Giants on the FG. It’s been that way for years. You can’t engage with the long snapper when his head is down. This isn’t new. The giants player very clearly did. It’s not “ticky tack” as I’ve seen some people state. It’s black and white. You cannot engage with him. He did. Thus, he got flagged.

Bills Can Win the Division

And that's garbage. I mean technically, the Lions have not been defeated, I guess. But they don't belong in that group. -
Mutiny in Miami after Blow out Loss
CLTbills replied to Golden Goat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The 0-16 Browns were at least competitive in some games. Some of those games were close through 3 quarters. Miami is just getting smoked every week. They've lost by an average of 46 points. -
Bills vs. Patriots whose defense is better
CLTbills replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know that I'd say "similar caliber" The Dolphins are the absolute worst in the league, and it's leaps and bounds to the next-worst team. Steelers... the jury is still out. I predicted this struggle. We all assume they're good because of their history... but in the offseason I told a Steelers fan friend of mine that the Steelers will be a sub-.500 team this year. Maybe the Steelers are of "similar caliber" to what we've beaten but one game is much too small of a sample size. The Dolphins game is an outlier, and very obviously skews those stats. -
If Singletary is hurt... trade for Gordon
CLTbills replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nah. Worst case, if he's down for 2-3 weeks, bring in Marcus Murphy. No sense giving up that kind of asset for a guy we don't need long-term. -
It just felt different today
CLTbills replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I posted this in another thread, but I said the same thing. It just felt different today. More than one time, on 3rd and 10, I just said, "OK, no problem. Josh will pick this up." And he did. Backed up to the 2 yard line? No problem. It's been a long time since I had this kind of confidence in a Bills offense... and it's because he's doing what the Pats*** have always done - made it look easy. Josh is out there just making it look easy. I've got my hopes up plenty of other times... this one just feels different.
