  1. Happy birthday, and thanks for all that you do, Scott!
  2. Amazing story. I didn't know this about him. Thanks for sharing!!!!!!!
  3. Hell the pats could beat them by a hundred. Honestly. They’ll win by 40 or more with the pats starters sitting the entire 2nd half
  4. Gahhhhh I love it! Dumpster fires in both Miami and (hopefully) NY!!
  5. Great post, man. I wasn’t able to watch the game live because I’m on vacation in Disney World, but I was listening to Murph on the radio broadcast and that’s the vibe I was getting. I was very encouraged that we seemed to be able to move the ball up and down the field at will against the Jets, but just weren’t able to finish drives. I even posted in the “predictions” thread earlier in the week that the Bills would win in a game that wasn’t as close as the score. That they would move the ball but struggle to finish drives while the offense (basically only 2-3 returning starters) gels. I got the score wrong because I wasn’t planning on them turning the ball over like that. But you’re absolutely right. The fact that we were basically able to do whatever we wanted to with regard to moving the ball is VERY encouraging. EDIT: I went back and found it - “ Bills 27, Jests 13, in a game that isn't as close as the score. Bills will dominate, but struggle to finish a couple drives as the offense still tries to gel.”
  6. Well it depends on what they call it. Pass Interference can be challenged, but not defensive holding or illegal contact. It can only be PI if there’s a pass being interfered with. But if the flag came out and the ball is still in the QB’s hands, then it’s NOT pass interference, and thus not reviewable.
  7. I think the point of his post is that the only way to see the ball in those situations (I assume he’s talking about the ‘safety’) is from the top. The issue was that in the jumble of people, you couldn’t see the ball from the side view camera. To me there’s no doubt the ball was out of the end zone, just based on what I saw in real time. But when the call is made on the field, and you can’t see the ball on any replay, then that’s a wrap. And yet you don’t actually say what any of the things are that you had a problem with?
  8. Well isn’t a safety technically a “scoring play,” and thus, shouldn’t it be automatically reviewed?
  9. I’ll say this... for all of those that say the “culture” thing is a joke.... today was an example of what culture can do. When you have a bunch of guys that care more about the team than themselves, this can be the result. McDermott’s teams don’t ever quit on him...
  10. Love it, man. I liked their page on Facebook and I’ll be checking back for some penguin socks and definitely sending positive vibes!
  11. I'm a Republican, and I LOVE the fact the Chappelle has pissed off the left! 15 years ago, you could watch a comedy show, and whether you agreed with the point or not, go, "haha, that's pretty funny!" irregardless. I love the fact that he doesn't care who he offends. It's a show. It's comedy. It's supposed to be offensive. That's the damn point.
  12. That is amazing!!!!!!!!! This little man will certainly be in my prayers. On a side note, any way I could still get a pair of those socks? I'd be happy to send $$ via paypal!
  13. I must be the only one that actually does love all of my neighbors. There are like 7 houses of people in a row that will all hang out together, kids play together, etc. We had a "lake day" about a month ago and literally had 3 boats worth of parents and kids all from our street. Everybody gets along great. Actually leaving tomorrow for Disney with one of our neighbors and their kids, too. We've looked at other houses, but are scared to leave our neighborhood because we got so lucky with amazing neighbors!
  14. I don't even like my own family (There's a couple ok ones, but overall, that wouldn't be an issue), and my wife's family is awesome, and aren't necessarily hurting for money to begin with. We probably would help a couple of them out a little bit, but they're not the kind of people that would come begging. $10M? Probably wouldn't change what we're doing now. Pay off the house, the cars, etc. Maybe treat ourself to a nice vacation. But invest the rest. Probably half in an account for the kids that will gain 5-8 %, that they can use for college or later in life, but i would probably set a maximum they could draw per year. Invest the other half for ourselves. Maybe use it to open a business and work for myself instead of for someone else. Now, $100M? half a billion? Going to buy a house in the Golden Oak neighborhood in Disney - probably 3-4M. Invest half, and just live a normal life from there. I would maybe even set up a trust that my wife and I could only touch $x a year, just to protect us from ourselves. Not that I think that'd even REMOTELY be an issue, but still. I don't even need to have access to that kind of cash all at once.
  15. Thank god your grandson is doing well!. As a parent of a 4-year-old that had to spend time in the hospital where the "C-word" was thrown around as a potential cause of our issues (Thank the Good Lord it never came to that), I cannot imagine. Even just hearing that word in regards to your baby breaks you down as a parent. Best wishes, brother!
  16. Honestly, I think my favorite thing that I’ve ever purchased is my Big Green Egg. A bit pricey, but absolutely worth every penny. Can do anything with it. Grill, smoke, bake; you can make pizza on it, etc. I haven’t touched my propane grill since... and I have a really expensive Coyote grill. But it doesn’t even begin to compare! Best thousand bucks I EVER spent. I’ll be using the living hell out of it all football season. I’ll get up early and get a small pork butt or some ribs smoking and hopefully have it ready by 1:00... maybe even throw some wings on. You cannot screw up something with it. I’ve noticed things like chicken especially stay way juicier when grilling them on the egg, plus it has such awesome flavor. And as as someone else mentioned... use hardwood lump charcoal, not the briquettes that taste like damn lighter fluid. Honestly, just buy a looftlighter or something similar. There are other brands that make the same thing.. Big Green Egg has one called Eggniter but it’s the same thing... but it literally takes a minute or less to light the lump charcoal. For 60-70 bucks, it’s definitely worth the convenience.
  17. I can't believe this is even a debate. I guess if you don't live in an area where Chick-Fil-A is prominent, maybe. But living in the South, there is no comparison. I've eaten at chick-fil-a probably 500 times, at locations all around the country and NOT ONCE have I ever received cold food or bad service.
  18. We watched this movie probably 7-8 years ago called Hachi. It's based on a true story. If you're a dog/animal person, have the tissues ready. Great flick, but good god.
  19. Honestly, all of the new Milwaukee stuff is amazing. I'm in the car business, and a lot of guys are going to Milwaukee because the quality is damn close to Snap-On at a fraction of the price.. and you can get it at Lowes/Home Depot.
  20. I love the "Pronunciation guide"
  21. Normally home... But we'll be in Disney now for the opener (Thanks, Hurricane Dorian) so I'll be walking through the park with my bluetooth headphones on listening to Murph and Eric Wood on the radio broadcast.
  22. I know the people that own that place.. Only got to go a handful of times before I moved to the South 8 years ago... but always liked it. Loved the Matt DeLorenzo race car hanging from the ceiling (At least at the one I went to)
  23. Hell, inconsistent is what we have now....
  24. Wow man, that’s crazy. First and foremost, sorry about your wife ?. Secondly, that’s a heck of an experience. You kind of forget about the human side of it. We’re all on here saying, “that guy sucks, cut him!” But you forget that they’re men, providing for their families too.
