I don't understand the point of cutting him. Would I love to see him leave the division so he can't take shots at our franchise QB? Absolutely. But I don't understand why they would do it. It saves them literally nothing against the cap.

Yes, Shaq was the one flagged. I was on the end of the stadium where I was looking more at the QB's back than the front so I couldn't really see what Shaq did, but the QB never even fell over.

Anybody have a clip of the "Roughing the passer" in the first half of the Panthers game? They didn't show a replay in the stadium but I was looking right at the QB when it happened and I didn't see ANYTHING that warranted it. That was a huge call as it would've been 4th and I believe 15 or so. They ended up scoring their first points of the game on that drive because the drive was extended by the "penalty"

Sean McDermott took the Bills out for ice cream

Yes, it is right on 85. Driven by it a hundred times, when my in-laws lived in Atlanta. -

I know there's a "Lemmon's" on the side of 85 near Gaffney, between Spartanburg and Charlotte that sells all things peaches, including peach ice cream. -
Is this best secondary the Bills have ever had?
CLTbills replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven’t been around as long as some on this board, but I think I can safely say this is the best defensive backfield I’ve ever seen for the Bills. Watching them in person was even more impressive. On TV, you only see that second that the ball gets there. But watching the progression of plays live on Friday night was eye-opening as far as how good they are. That was my biggest takeaway leaving BofA Stadium Friday night - how good our DBs are. -
10 observations Bills v. Panthers

Yes, but our coverage and return teams have been outstanding. You can only coach a guy to punt the ball so much... -
They Might...Just Might, Be Really Good
CLTbills replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just got home from the game about 20 minutes ago, wanted to see what everyone’s thoughts were. I’ll tell ya what. I don’t know how it looked on TV, but we looked REALLY good tonight. Absolutely dominated the panthers in all three phases. DB’s in particular looked really good in person. All of the Panthers fans around us were stunned at how good the Bills looked. I even heard a “I thought the Bills sucked?” From one pissed off fan. So so pumped for 2019. And by the way. Teams better find a way to stop Cole Beasley. He is going to be a MONSTER for us this year -
I'm sure he's getting reps - just not playing in games taking contact.

Dak Prescott seeking new extension worth $40M per year.
CLTbills replied to BillsFan4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm torn on this. I'd love to see them give him that kind of money, and basically suck for the next decade because they can't pay anyone else. However, when Josh's contract comes up in four more years, how will you be able to justify paying him LESS than Dak Prescott? Ideally, he is going to be a top-tier quarterback. If Dak gets 40 million, How will you be able to justify giving Josh $35 million? It's going to put some other teams in a real bind, especially those like us with rookie QB's that we're going to have to pay in a couple years. -
hoping we go 4 and 0 in the preseason
CLTbills replied to Howard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not when basically the entire group that's on the field for preseason game four is cut the next day. -
I was somewhat surprised to hear that, too. But keep in mind, They played Thursday night and had him on Friday. Not a lot of time for him to analyze, what, 11 games that were played on Thursday night? And have super detailed answers? I think he's really great at breaking this stuff down. Love his take each week.

This right here is why I'm so excited for this year. Seeing how well Allen played behind that garbage, with the garbage he had to throw to? And now he has a legitimate pro O-line and receiver corps?

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-Season Game 1
CLTbills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah... our 2nd team O-line this year is better than last years starters without question. -
I watched every game through reddit last year on my ipad, and then streamed it through apple TV onto my big TV in the living room. Cant beat it for free-99.

2nd Team O-Line better than last year's 1st Team
CLTbills replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. That's the point I was trying to make. It was hardly because of the O-line's "success" -

CLTbills replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While this is true, I'm not sure you can say it was because of the protection. I think it was more his ability to extend the play. With any other quarterback (or at least most), that "average time holding before passing" would have been much shorter because they would have been on their back a lot quicker. And I think a case can be made that Josh "holding on to the ball" was simply because we didn't have one single receiver that could get open on a consistent basis. Looking at last night, it's amazing what a couple good receivers can do for a young QB. -
Kicker is fine. Yeah, he finished last year making 6/11.... He was also playing hurt. Kickers don't just forget how to kick. Much to do about nothing. He's fine.

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-Season Game 1
CLTbills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
By the way..... Isn't it nice that all of our griping and discussion is about who should be the #3 and #4 RB's? Kind of nice for a change...... -

And if that's the case, I don't know how any reasonable person could say that Yeldon deserves the spot ahead of Singletary -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-Season Game 1
CLTbills replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In all fairness, @GunnerBill didn't say that Singletary had a bad night. Just that he's not going to be the #1 back. He is NOT ahead of Shady or Gore based on his performance last night. He had a good performance, sure. But not elite. Yeah I'd have to agree. I know there are 3 more weeks, but as of right now, he's definitely the odd man out.
