  1. But, keep in mind, Gase did have a HUGE hand in some good talent leaving... Ajayi, Jarvis Landry, Jordan Phillips.. So just because they're a little short on talent, i wouldn't necessarily blame the analytics guys... seems like they had some good talent that the HC ran off... if those are the ones we know about, I'm sure there are more out there as well. I respect your opinion more than most on here, Kirby, just playing Devil's Advocate...
  2. As long as he and "Badd Ass" Billy Gunn are a package deal, I'm all for it
  3. During the season, I'll listen... but that's about it. Chris Brown, and his insight, is pretty useful, I'll say that.
  4. I think Boyst needs to change his name to "Buffalo Bob".... pretty fitting. Love me some Hop Drop 'n Roll!
  5. People never cease to amaze me with this "take"
  6. $3 per seat. Per game (10 games). So $30 per seat for the whole season. $60 for a pair.
  7. What's "against the rules" about it? How is this any different from a LB calling out a play at the LOS because he watched film and studied his butt off, and picked up on a tell from the QB or RB?
  8. There may not be, but if everybody on the staff knew the "tells" then there would be no reason to say it out loud for the cameras and microphones to hear. That would be pretty stupid, wouldn't it? I mean there's nothing illegal about it... I just wouldn't want the world to know that I know.
  9. I like the hire... I'm just surprised it didn't happen last year.
  10. Look I'm not saying that racism doesn't exist. But the article that you posted literally gives ZERO statistical evidence. It gives one or two generalized statements with absolutely no "statistics." certainly not a "mountain of statistical evidence". I think everybody knows how die-hard Bills fans are. I want my team to win. That is all I care about. I don't give a damn if the Quarterback is green, black, white, blue, or orange. If he plays well, I like him. If he doesn't play well, I don't. I'm pretty positive if Tom Brady happened to be black, not one damn Patriots fan would be calling for his benching when he has a bad game. If Jim Kelly had happened to be black, not one Bills fan would have called for him to be benched when he had a bad game. Football fans care about the performance of their team on the field, period. Tyrod wasn't/isn't a good quarterback. His race has nothing to do with it. We had the 31st ranked passing offense under Tyrod, and we were like 12 yards from being 32nd. I liked Tyrod, especially after his first year as our QB. I was so excited, thinking that since that was only his first year actually playing, that he would continue to improve and take our team to the next level. But he proved, with a couple of 56-yard passing games, that he just isn't good. Period.
  11. Care to share said "statistical evidence"?
  12. Never missed work. It used to affect me terribly. My wife used to HATE me on game days (because odds are, more often than not, the Bills would lose). But I've mellowed out a lot... I think having a kid did that. I guess it makes you realize that, even though the Bills are part of me, there's more to life than football.
  13. Schopp is such an idiot. He literally said, "Rex and McDermott have the same record after two years, but Rex's teams were so much better" Like dude, do you even WATCH the games? The difference is, Rex had a roster that was WAY more talented than what McDermott has (yes, I understand that McDermott and Beane have done this on purpose). Rex's teams continually underachieved, while McDermott's teams have greatly overachieved for two years while shedding bad contracts.
  14. Me too. As a younger guy, definitely like to pull for McVay.
  15. Hm... Seems I remember them cutting Benjamin... or did I misremember that?
  16. I think it's a different scenario when you've been looking for a franchise QB for 2 decades.....
  17. Different seasons. The Bills job wasn't open at the time. We still had the trainwrex for one more year. Jackson was hired in 2016, McDermott by the Bills in '17
  18. I agree. While I'll never condone his actions, I don't think that the video I saw is anywhere NEAR as egregious as the Ray Rice incident, or some reported incidents with other players (Greg Hardy, to name one). At the same time, I know McDermott would never go for it, which I'm also OK with.
  19. Good. I love the kid's eagerness to learn and continue to improve. He doesn't just have the "I'm the best, I can sit on my butt all offseason" mentality/attitude.
  20. Seriously. I know it's not an exact comparison, but NASCAR all but got rid of officials on pit road checking things like lug nuts, whether or not a car is pitted in their box, or whether or not a crew member jumped over the wall too soon. This is ALL monitored by cameras that are programmed to look for and detect these things. (I use this analogy because I used to pit racecars for a living, and then they took the fun out of it.) It CAN be done.
  21. I guess you're right. Nobody is that stupid.
  22. D'Pez Poopsie. cant make that up
  23. You're absolutely right, it was George Wilson. One of the most fun games I've ever been to, up until the last minute or so of regulation. Talk about the highest of highs (pretty much all night) to the lowest of lows. We scored 3 touchdowns on defense/special teams. And 3 POINTS on offense the entire night.
  24. Glad you jumped off the Dick that night.... All joking aside, I remember that game vividly. The only game that I can remember leaving the Ralph feeling more deflated was the MNF game in October '07 against the Cowboys. Mine was October, 2007. MNF at home against Romo and the Cowboys. If I remember correctly, it was the first MNF game at the Ralph in something like 14 years. Place was rockin'. Bryan Scott started the game off with a pick six. We picked off Romo 5 times that night, and also got a fumble from him as well. But we had literally ZERO offense. Even had Terrance McGee return the 3rd quarter kickoff for a touchdown. Mind you, the Bills were junk and the Cowgirls were the favorites to win the NFC at the time. Girls scored late to get within 2, and went for the 2 point conversion, and Jabari Greer made a hell of a play on TO to take it away. Cowgirls RECOVER the onside kick, and go down and kick a 50-something yarder to win it at the buzzer. Screw you, Dick Jauron.
