  1. Because Beane is going to draft BPA period. Or at least that's what he's stated publicly.
  2. Hell yeah. I was crushed on draft night. Watching Beane masterfully move up to 7, without giving away the future of the franchise, I couldn't believe how perfect everything was going. I thought they were going to have to trade up to #2 ahead of the Jets, but to only have to go to 7 (and all of the QBs other than Baker and Darnold still available), I couldn't believe how everything was turning out. Then they said "Josh"... but when it was "Allen" instead of "Rosen", I thought, here we go again. 10 more years of misery. I was devastated. I have never been more happy to be wrong and to eat crow. Here's to the future league/Super Bowl MVP! ?
  3. Beane has stated publicly, that he does not/will not draft for need. BPA. If he's there and we don't have a good trade-down offer, then hell yeah. Take him.
  4. Hell yeah. First Bills QB since Bledsoe in 2002 to win that award. The times, they are a changin'
  5. I mean at the end of the day, if you're going to snap the ball and run a play at the end of it, it doesn't hurt to try and draw them offside. I'd rather them do that then try and draw them off and waste a timeout.
  6. Praise Jesus. Step 1 towards this team getting to its full potential.
  7. but but but but but we shouldn't have drafted Allen! His completion percentage is so low!!!!! see, I was right! he's not NFL material!!!
  8. That's how I read it a first... but that also doesn't really make sense.
  9. Well done, as always, Shaw. I bolded what I think was the most important thing... how Josh responded to the INT. Some young quarterbacks make that throw and shut down for the day mentally. I think he showed that he has the ability to block it out, and come back out and get back on the horse. He led us down the field for a TD to start the 2nd half.
  10. The point is, this team is very close to being legitimate contenders. Given the roster situation, (and yes, I'm well aware that Beane is the reason for the roster situation, however it's not due to incompetence, it's due to a planned restructuring), to perform as well as this team did, is quite remarkable. A couple bounces of the ball from a winning record with arguably (or inarguably, if you ask many) the least-talented roster in the NFL, at least on offense.
  11. Good. I think he is capable, but he hasn't been able to show it because of our roster situation. Actually works out well for us. There is nothing worse for a young QB than constant coach/coordinator turnover. Just ask Blaine Gabbert. Saw a stat last night in the IND/TEN game that blew me away. In 8 years in the NFL, he's had NINE different head coaches and eight OC's.
  12. How dare you be reasonable and use logic?
  13. Haven't read anything this dumb in a while. They didn't think the kid would be this good? Are you kidding? You don't draft up to #7 overall for a guy that you "Dont think would be this good." And here's my other favorite... "The offensive moves they've made the past 2 years has not paid off! It's hard to trust their judgment!!! " You really have no clue, do you? You do realize how the "rebuilding" thing works, right?
  14. Whoever is playing against the cheats.
  15. I think this is a terrible idea for Cleveland. As great as Kitchens has been with Baker, I think the last thing you want is a coach that's going to fire everybody and bring in an entire new staff...
  16. It's kind of weird. He gets hurt last year, Foles come in and leads them to a Super Bowl title. Super Bowl MVP. Carson comes back this year, struggles the entire year. Gets hurt, Foles comes in and leads them to a 3-game win streak and back to the playoffs. At what point do you put Foles back on the bench?
  17. McDermott is going nowhere. He has done more with less than any coach in the league in the last two years. We're now out of salary cap purgatory. If we go spend $90 million, and THEN don't have reasonable success, we'll talk.
  18. My little man... what makes the world go round.
  19. Congrats, bro! Making the jump to being homeowners was the best thing we ever did.
  20. I sincerely hope you’re not comparing the situations in Miami and Cleveland. Cleveland went through a complete rebuild and has how many years of top-five picks on the roster? and they fired the worst head coach in the history of the NFL. Call them the exception to the rule.... but Miami has literally NOTHING going for them, especially if they were to fire Gase. That team doesn’t have basically ANY building blocks for a new coach to come in and have (at least immediate) success.
  21. My initial thoughts..... is it September yet?
  22. Yessssss. Keep Gase in Miami, and hope the Jets just continue to be the Jets. I don’t think Belicheat will be around for more than 2 more years in cheaterland.
  23. F***yeah he should. Why shouldn't he get suspended, just because it was week 17?
