You’re absolutely right. one made the playoffs in his first season, again, with a group of castoffs that nobody wanted and Tyrod Taylor at QB. The other DIDNT make the playoffs in his first season, with Philip Rivers at QB and a roster with MILES more talent. Sure, the Chargers are having a better year this year, but I think it’s pretty obvious why and it’s NOT coaching. Yes, coaching matters. Talent on the roster matters too.

I like this option the best. It removes the chances of a player being careless because there is essentially no repercussion if he fumbles.
