  1. Yes, but not quite as good as the guy that saved those girls in Cleveland.
  2. Had a guy at work today tell me he was ready to join Bills Mafia... I told him (in jest) the initiation is letting me suplex him through a table.
  3. I'll take Josh taking risks and making big plays vs. the Tyrod Taylor method of never throwing the ball to a guy unless he has five yards of separation any day of the week
  4. Really? THAT'S what we're going to nitpick? That was a win full of heart and determination. It was pretty fitting considering how the game went down.
  5. Holla. All aboard the process train.
  6. shhhhhhhhh.... don't let the Josh haters hear you... His escapability is nuts. The play where Sweeney should have gone up and got it was ridiculous, as was the one of on 2nd and 4 down deep in Cincinnati territory to set up 1st and goal. on that game-winning drive. Guy had him dead to rights and I've watched it over and over and can't figure out how he got out. One thing's for sure. The kid has the grit and the heart to do this. He never gives up on a play, to a detriment sometimes (hero ball crap yesterday). But if he gives me 10 of those crazy insane plays and 2 boneheaded ones each week, we're going to win a lot more than we lose.
  7. Wow. Those are some pretty eye-opening stats. If he continues to develop, the sky is the limit for this group under Josh, Beane and McDermott.
  8. My Dad (who was a HUGE Bills fan who'd scream at the TV every week) would have been proud of how loud I was screaming when Tre picked off that last pass to seal the game. Haha. Somewhat happy my wife and kid went up the street to the neighbors a few minutes before.
  9. Fantastic as always, Shaw. Great writeup.
  10. For sure. 28-31 should be enough, with our D, to beat the Pats**. Just comes down to, can we finish those drives with points, against a better quality defense. I'm not worried about our defense this week.
  11. I'm going for it. Thank God we didn't have to find out.
  12. This is the biggest thing. That game yesterday should've been at least 21-0, maybe 24-0 at the half. Cannot leave points on the field against Brady and Belichick
  13. He makes a lot of those improv plays as well... the 3rd and 17 we picked up yesterday, while a SENSATIONAL play by Allen, had just as much to do with Brown getting open and not giving up on the play.
  14. If I had to take one or the other, I'll take the 4th any day. Not necessarily... he just needs to make the decision to throw it away before he's 25 yards behind the LOS.
  15. I think they're beatable, but Josh HAS to get the hero-ball nonsense out of him. The Pats** will make you pay for those type of plays. If we win it, it's going to be another 4th quarter, inside 2 min. drive to do it. And I'm strangely OK with it if we lose, but take them all the way to 0:00 in the 4th. If we're in it, and lose a tough 3-7 point game, inside the 2-minute warning, I'm OK with it. I just want to see evidence that we belong in the conversation with them. But I'd be much happier with a win. Agreed. If we're going to pressure him, it's got to be up the middle so he can't step up... THEN let Hughes clean up the mess from there.
  16. Maybe, but they don't need to run the end-around 8 times a game. Drove me absolutely nuts when they did it on 3rd and 1 and lost 3 yards.
  17. I heard a great quote from a caller this morning on WGR... "What I liked about the game was that Josh looked like Brett Favre. What I didn't like about the game was that Josh looked like Brett Favre." Pretty much summed up what I was thinking, but couldn't put in to words. It just comes down to, are you okay with 2 boneheaded plays a game, if he leads the team back down the field for the win and makes just as many, if not more, spectacular plays that make you go, "how in the hell did he do that?" Because his willingness to be aggressive is what allows those spectacular plays, but also gets him in trouble.
  18. While he's 100% right..... Please don't give Brady any extra motivation.
  19. Now, the ball cannot be advanced after the whistle. But you'll notice there was actually a whistle blown on the John Ross fumble yesterday.
  20. Doesn't mean they can't. We've seen it more times than I can count. Any given Sunday in the NFL, anybody can beat anybody.
  21. Not necessarily... If there's a clear recovery, that can technically be overturned.
  22. Keep in mind the Jets scored a TD on a pick six off the Pats* backup, and the other was a muffed punt recovered by the Jets for a TD. Their QB was responsible for exactly ZERO of those points.
  23. There are some guys who are GREAT coordinators, but terrible head coaches. For whatever reason, they're just not good at managing all of the things that come with being a HC - the biggest thing being managing the people. We've seen plenty here. i.e. Rex Ryan. Leslie Frazier. Dick Jauron. Hell, you could even throw Adam Gase into that (although the one year that made him a "hot" candidate for HC, was coaching Peyton freaking Manning). I, for one, am happy that we have one that was a great coordinator AND a great Head Coach.
  24. I said the same last week. On 3rd and long, I'm not just expecting a draw play for 6 yards and punt. I expect us to have a good shot at picking it up. For all of his detriments, the kid makes plays. That 3rd and 17 play was just sensational.
  25. Who cares? 3 wins equals 3 wins at the end of the season.
