The Cairo Santos appreciation thread.

Exactly. Because at that point, the Bills only need to go 25 yards to be in Hauschka's range. -
Revisiting Beane's most subtly brilliant move as GM
CLTbills replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've stated this a couple times.... But I will never again question a move that Beane makes. He has made so many head-scratching (at the time) decisions that turn out to be brilliant. The ONLY move that I can say was a total bust was the trade for Benjamin. But if that's one out of twenty that didn't work, that's a pretty sporty percentage of success. -
Josh Allen - week FIVE report card
CLTbills replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd give him a B or a B+. His first half was a solid A. I think it's fair to say that was his best half of football as a pro. -
Anyone know a good Bills bar in Krakow?

Glad to hear you're well and able to travel! Hope you and your dad have a fantastic time and hope you find a place to watch us squish the fish! -
NFL shows priorities with Apple Watch Fine
CLTbills replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, this is just my point. They missed one that should have been, and called one that absolutely should NOT have been called grounding. it hit the ground 3-4 yards in front of a receiver. That is not grounding. I'm not here to debate a penalty about another team's player, but it just shows the point I'm trying to make... that it's not just against the Bills, it's across the board. -

I feel like it's even worse this year... and I can't just say that they're picking on the Bills because it's been horrible across the board. I don't know how you call that against Milano. He was off his feet literally at the line of scrimmage. The intentional grounding they called against Brady last week was ludicrous too (I know it helped us but still). Saw a Packers player just brush Dak Prescott's helmet and get called for RTP. It's just getting worse every year. -
Status of AFC: Should Bills Go All In For 2019?
CLTbills replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know about mortgaging the future... But if Diggs could be had for a 2 or 3, hell yes. A guy like that could be what takes us over the top... and he has a favorable contract situation. You're not giving away capital for a one-year or less rental. He's under contract for many years to come. -
An old mans’ views on the team.

I'm 29 years old. The last time the Bills were this legitimately good, I was nine. I was nine years old for the Music City Miracle, which was the last Bills team that was remotely this good. Just enjoying the ride. -
God I sure hope you're right. I can't imagine anyone wanting to go coach that team.

Jets fans do not live in reality.

Thankfully for Bills fans, Gase will get at least one more year. He at least can justify this terrible play to ownership because he’s playing with a 3rd string QB. -
Bahahahaha. That was a fun read!

This blew my mind too. Dude couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat and you trot him out there for a 53-yarder, down 7 more than halfway through the 4th quarter of a defensive battle game? -

Bills fans are everywhere - even in Oregon
CLTbills replied to WideNine's topic in Off the Wall Archives
No doubt, man. There are at least six houses (six that I know of) in my neighborhood that are Bills fans, including a guy 4 houses down from me who’s from Rochester. Bills Mafia certainly knows how to represent everywhere -
Now that Allen has officially cleared the protocol, it has to be Duke Williams

Allen clears protocol and expected to play Vs Titans
CLTbills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let’s go! I truly think they knew he would clear days ago, but just waited until this morning to actually have the test done with the UNC. -
A sarcasm post should never make it to three pages long.

Josh Allen in concussion protocol: Update cleared 10/5
CLTbills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Riddle me this... and this is directed at those who are well-versed on the concussion protocol rules. But what are the advantages to getting him "out of the protocol" earlier in the week? Here's where I'm going with this...... What happens if he fails the final test with the INC? Does he have to kick back to stage 2? Or does he stay in stage 4 and try again tomorrow? If the team doctors feel fairly confident that he's good to go, and it's, say Thursday, why rush the test with the INC? Why not give him the extra day or 2 to ENSURE that he passes that test? Especially if failing the test with the INC on Thursday sets him further back in the timeline of getting back on the field? You also have the (i don't know how much) tactical advantage of "sorry, can't give you media people any updates because he's still in the protocol" whereas if he clears it on Thursday, then the Titans have 2 extra days to prepare solely for one guy versus at least having to split their time preparing for both. What I'm getting at is they very well may know that he's going to be cleared (the fact that he was performing in individual drills on Tuesday) but are just dragging out that final test until the latest possible moment. Hopefully someone on this board knows more about the protocol and can clear this up. -

Then what? Then Josh comes back when he's healthy. -
I mean we're going to say that team mascots have a G.D. thing to do with concussions? Mods... close this thing. OK.... What in the holy hell does that have to do with the team's mascot?

seriously?

Would you have taken 3-2 at the bye?
CLTbills replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought about this after the NE game. It's funny how the order of your wins/losses makes you feel so much differently about your team, even though the record is the same. If you lose the first two, but win the next three, versus winning the first three and losing the next two. Same record, but it makes you feel so much differently about it. What if we'd played the Pats* week 1 and lost, but then rattled off 3 straight wins? We'd have a much different feeling around here right now. We can play what ifs all day. If we're going to go down that road, then the Bills are a blocked punt away from being 4-0. Bill Parcells said, "You are what your record says you are" -

While I agree, it's not because of Webb not being brought up. Even though he's on the PS, he can still be practicing all week to be the backup and can be activated to the 53 on Saturday. It serves you no purpose to activate him before that anyway. At the very least, even if you know Allen isn't playing, keep the Titans guessing. The moment you activate Webb, now the Titans know your plans. At least make them have to prepare for both QB's in the meantime. But I agree. He's starting in Tennessee.
