Meanwhile....Tribisky (sp) is floundering
CLTbills replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The point is, you’re just posting a screen shot of a couple basic stats to show why Mitch Trubisky isn’t “floundering” while discounting the fact that even though he finished with 251 yards, going into the fourth quarter he was essentially 50% completion, for 85 yards, getting blown out. Then post a pic of his stats that shows he threw for 250 to prove your point. The point is, sure he can throw for 150 garbage yards in a blowout. That does not make him good. If you actually watched the game instead of the box score, you’d know. its the same as the people that looked at the box score and the “stats” after the Bills-Jets week 1 game and said, “SEE! I told you Josh Allen is inaccurate and can’t do this and that, blah blah, and Darnold is better.” But if they’d watched the game they’d have seen a QB in Josh that had total command and moved his team up and down the field and had a couple of fluky-type turnovers, and a QB in Darnold that didn’t do a damn thing with three gift turnovers. Stats don’t matter unless you’re playing fantasy football. The eye test matters. -

You do realize that looking at stats tells you basically nothing about a quarterback's play, right? I feel like we've been over this on this board no less than 1034732514 times. -
Dolphins player spit in Bills fan's face after the game

Uh oh, he's going to spit in your face for calling him irrelevant! -

But what this statement tells me - You said you've watched a lot of young kids grow up, but you didn't say "I raised my kids this way", and that's what formed your opinion - is that you don't have kids. I could be wrong. But it's a strange choice of words for someone who is a parent. If you're not a parent, don't act like you know the best way to parent. Period. -

If it was my face he spit in, you're damn right it'd be assault. -

If the kid was out vandalizing something, or physically doing something, I MAY agree with you. The kid was, at worst, trash talking. Welcome to pro sports. -

Yeah, sorry, but I'm gonna go with "you're wrong" on that one....... I hope you're not justifying a grown-ass man threatening a thirteen-year-old when the kid is just a fan at a game. Trash talk is part of pro sports. Guys a grownup, and a "professional" football player. -
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27896856/dolphins-punish-bobby-mccain-incident-bills-fans Another 28-year-old fan, who said he defended the boy to McCain, told the News that McCain spit in his face after the game. "I haven't even said a word to him. He runs right up to me and spits in my face and then runs down the tunnel," the fan, Dylan Wentland, told the newspaper. "I mean literally wound up, hocked and just spit right in my face while I'm standing there." It's not necessarily Bobby Cox running out of the tunnel with the "one finger salute" held high, but damn. I'd have jumped the hell out of my seat if he did that to me.

Back when I had my seats, I sat in section 123, row 3. Tunnel end zone, 3 rows off the field. One year, two of my buddies that I had tickets with decided to upgrade to the Jim Kelly Club - I guess they liked the sound of heat and close bathrooms in the middle of December. Me and my stepdad and one other guy and myself kept ours in 123. I ended up using one of his tickets for the JKC one week that he couldn't make it to the game... After the first quarter, I went back down to my seats in 123. Unbelievable difference. I don't go to a game to sit there and schmooze and shoot the breeze. I'm there to be passionate, scream, holler, and support my team. It's a different atmosphere in those club seats. Never again. On a side note, I got free tickets to a Bills game at the Jets in 2009 from my boss that he got through a friend of his. We sat in the stratosphere... but for free, who cares, right? Not one single Jets "fan" up there was even watching the game. It was like scheduled social hour... talking about the Yankees and Mets game last night, etc. Having season tickets at the Ralph, I was just blown away by the difference in atmosphere.

Henry Jones Onsides Kick Return (video)

seeing Bruce Dehaven on the broadcast there made me think... Wasn't it AMAZING and so satisfying when the cameras showed Danny Crossman yesterday after Micah returned that one to the house? -

I've been a good little boy. I've only had one little slap on the wrist from Hapless. I'm not sure how though! -

Me too! I mean come on now..... five pages deep and I'm invested in this drama! It's like the teaser that the network primetime shows give you... they build it up and up and up..... and then it's "tune in next week to see what happens!" I'm invested now, I have to know what really happened! ?♂️ -

THE ROCKILE REVIEW - A Walk in the Park
CLTbills replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I'm taking the points every time. You never know if there's a bad exchange between the center and QB, if a Dolphins player jumps the snap and smokes your QB, etc. Make it a 2-score game. -
I get that in hindsight, yes Gordon fumbled the ball. But why is putting in your #1 back on the goal line one of the "worst coaching moves of the year?"

538's Current Projections (Bills finish at 11-5)
CLTbills replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had 10-6 when camp started. The AFC weakening a bit (Roethlisberger going down, especially - I had that game as a loss) has bumped my expectation to 11-5 -
I think if this is Brees' last year or two, then he's stupid to go elsewhere. If Brees is planning on playing five more years, then he's going where he can start.
-
I can't imagine he makes it past tomorrow as the head coach of the Falcons. They are TERRIBLE for the amount of talent on that team. Bridgewater is 5-0 since Brees went down. They are legit.
-
Oh I'll take a win over the alternative.. but good god. Can we just have ONE game like the Patriots where we go up 24 points early and it's never even in doubt? I'm all good with winning no matter how it comes, but the stress level was a bit high today.
-
When is Allen going to have "that game", and do you care?
CLTbills replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly? Just win, baby. I'll take wins and 4th quarter comebacks (a guy being able to make a play for your team when it matters) over stats any day of the week. -

Two teams with fan bases that I can't stand. Awesome for watching football on a Sunday night. Can they just both lose? -
Jesus. Why can’t this team just ever win one easily? I feel like they take a week off my life every game - even more so this week
