  1. He is going to Atlanta. That said, dont care where he goes, just glad its in the NFC.
  2. They will draft a cornerback in the 1st three rounds and that player will compete with Jackson to start.
  3. It hasnt sunk in that he will be in a BIlls uniform next year. Pretty mindblowing.
  4. If he returns does that pretty much confirm Star is gone? I know Jordan ia a 3 Tech but do they need 5 Dts?
  5. Lorenzo Carter is a 3-4 OLB, has been since college. Dont think he is much of a scheme fit here, also think there are better options still.
  6. The Morse signing ended up being great signing for the Bills. At the time, and I dont recall my emotions then, I was probably pretty indifferent about Morse. Paradis was the guy everyone wanted, but IMO Morse ended up being the better signing. On the field Solid or great is debatable, I think he had a very good year last year. In addition, in spite of the drastic over reaction about his concussion here, the guy has only missed 1 game of his own volition. Not to mention he has been under center for the formative years of two of the best Quarterbacks currently in the NFL. That said, he is obviously doing something right off teh field, and helping with line calls. I am not sure if 15th best center if from PFF, but the money they've spent on Morse has been money well spent in my opinion. However, his signing was done when the core of the team was being built, and the Bills had the money to spend. They are in a different place then they were then.
  7. Never said never. I dont speak in absolutes. Good job seeking out the anomalies and hall of famers, but this list doesnt change my mind in the least. Also, I dont know of this Drew Breese guy, is he any good? This sums it up perfectly. I truly hope none of the people acting like this are in charge of other people at work, or God forbid parents of children.
  8. Still pass rushers out there. Za'Darius Smith, Jason Pierre Paul, Derek Barnett decent players with some risk. Danielle Hunter available for trade. Could always bring back Addison of all else fails. I have faith in Beane getting a decent player without overspending.
  9. I guess we are just going to have to agree to disagree. The Bills have spent right up to the cap almost every year he has been year. If his moves havent convinced you he is trying to win a championship, then you wont be convinced. I know a lot of fans would choose one championship over 10 years of playoffs. Personally if I am a GM of a team, I'd probably try not to think like a fan. I'd also try to run a team that was both financially sustainable and could win games at a high enough level to keep my job. Dont see how reckless spending makes the Bills a better team but thats just me I guess,
  10. Who was their one guy and was he signed in free agency?
  11. THANK YOU GOD!! Post of the year right here. It's good to know common sense still exists in the world!
  12. Do me a favor and take a look back at the history of "difference makers" signed in free agency who signed huge deals and lived up to them. Smart teams know better than to do this. These guys, again, are available for a reason. The Bills have signed three free agents outside of their franchise, signed 4 of their own free agents and reworked multiple deals. What you, and others on this board really mean is "The Bills havent signed anyone that excites me yet so I am upset and am going to post sarcastic things about the team."
  13. Beyond the Regier comparison you called Beane a "very conservative GM." In my opinion he has been exactly the opposite of that. If you said he has been "very conservative this offseason" I'd agree, the Bills just dont have the money to make a big splash in free agency. But if you look at his entire history as Bills GM, to call him "very conservative" is not just unfair its blatantly wrong. A "very conservative" GM doesnt trade his way into the number 7 pick in the draft a year after making the playoffs and draft maybe the most wild card QB prospect in history. Neither does he send 1st round picks to Minnesota for Diggs. He's made big moves, he didnt get the nickname Big Baller Beane by being conservative.
  14. I think thats incredibly unfair. He wheeled and dealed his way to a franchise QB. When he has had money he has spent money. As I've said here leading up to Free Agency, bored fans were going to piss and moan this week because the Bills have their franchise QB, paid him, and now dont have a ton of money to spend in a low cap year. Meanwhile all of the armchair GMs had the Bills cutting and trading a 5th of their roster to sign Von Miller, JC Jackson, Brandon Schreff, and Chandler Jones. Not conservative, smart. You dont overspend in Free Agency, there is a reason these guys are on the market. You dont spend money you dont have.
  15. I dont think I ever said that. What I said was he took the money over a chance to win a Lombardi. I said that because he went to a team that while being in the playoffs last year, has no legitimate chance to win the Super Bowl with Derek Carr as their QB. Like it or not, there 5-10 teams a year that have a real chance of going to and winning a Super Bowl. Then there are 22-27 other teams that have average to below average QBs who have to sign Chandler Jones for $17 million dollars a year to either sell tickets, or make it to the first round of the playoffs. The Bills are in the 5-10 teams because of who they have at QB. That was my point. He took the money, like he said in his tweet.
  16. Because the Bills dont have $17 million to offer him. So common sense and the least amount of assumptions would tell me he took more money.
  17. Seriously? These guys are still getting paid, by teams who would much rather have a franchise QB. As a player they need to decide to take the money and not truly contend for a Super Bowl, or take less and be one of the maybe 7 teams who have a legit shot at winning a Super Bowl. None of these guys are hurting for cash. Once you are getting paid 10 million, you can afford to take the 5-7 million dollars left. The Nuclear arms race in the AFC West isnt a bad thing for the Bills. Its going to be very hard for 3 of the teams from the same division to make the Playoffs. 1 or 2 less good teams the Bills have to worry about in the playoffs.
  18. Played out exactly like the JJ Watt chase last year. Said it wasnt about money, and in the end it was about money. Nobody should be surprised it ended this way, and I'll be happy watching him collect $17 million a year for a team thats not going to sniff the Lombardi.
  19. Perfect! If we get him and Tyson Clabo to both sign this week we should be all set!
  20. He is a tone setter. 5am workouts, first one in, last one out. I'd take him on my team any day.
  21. I think teams look at him as a product of McDermott's scheme. Josh Norman, James Bradberry, Darryl Worley, Tre Boston, and Captain Munnerlyn are all guys who played their best football under McDermott, made money in free agency and then failed to live up to their contracts. I imagine teams dont want to repeat that history.
  22. Feliciano missed 7 games the year before too. Phillips got bottom end of what starting Defensive Tackles get in the NFL. His average salary is 27th in the league, and thats before free agency ends. Now I see why Morse gets so much crap on this board for missing 2 games in three years.
  23. A lot of them were. If you recall that was the Adam Gase offense with Smoking Jay Cutler and Matt Moore as his Quarterbacks, so you do have to give the stats some context. Landry is a good football player, but I dont disagree that he is probably on the downside of his career.
