  1. I completely agree. I dont condone that blowback at all. Its a pretty common-sense thing I think everyone can agree upon.
  2. Just missing the Tomm Just missing the Tommy Edwards call "From Villanova, at Pontiff, 14th of his Name, Pope Leo.
  3. Nobody, regardless of political affiliation, should be taken to task for this. The food they serve in public schools is a plague on American youth.
  4. Joe Biden pretending to be a Catholic while supporting Abortion and Gay marriage was a lot more disrespectful to Catholics than that picture.
  5. My biggest hope for Deone is that our strength and conditioning program can reduce some of the weight he carries in his midsection. He is a very big guy but for his size he doesnt look that stout in his lower body. Carrying that much weight in his stomach will not help the back injury. He doesnt look like a 1 tech to me. He looks like 3 tech who should be playing closer to 310-315.
  6. Maybe they are Universalists.
  7. Because many of the social and political beliefs of liberals are in direct opposition to the teachings of the bible. I mean I think thats pretty obvious.
  8. I imagine he was raised Catholic. I have to say I found it entertaining listening to all the Catholics calling into WBEN on my way home today. To summarize "Yes I am Catholic. I havent been to mass in years but I have hope the American Pope can restore of the perishes we have had to close."
  9. Fair enough. I just find it odd that a person that supports liberals ideals would also believe in a Holy Spirit.
  10. So you're saying politics did play a role in the selection? Not for nothing if God is going to ordain people based on political beliefs I doubt he would start with the party who believes in abortion.
  11. One of the rare occasions I disagree with Matt Walsh. The Catholic Church has way more in common with the pharisees who sent Jesus to die than they do Jesus himself. If you believe in the Holy trinity, and you've read enough of the Bible, how could you ever believe the Pope was ordained by God? This is an institution that hid or failed to report nearly a century of sexual abuse. In 2002, the Boston Globe printed a statistic that nearly 60% of priests had at least one complaint of abuse levied against them. Beyond the abuse scandals, the absolute luxury of the Vatican, and the ornate dress of its leaders is antithetical to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Pope Francis' estimated net worth at the time of his death was $16 million dollars. This is not to say every member of the Church is corrupt or there are not Godly people associated with it, it is just to say the Vatican itself is a political establishment wrapped in religious aesthetics.
  12. To be fair the Catholic church probably should wait a century or so before they start throwing stones about who someone should care about.
  13. Serious question as I am not Catholic. If this guy had no clue he was going to be Pope when did he have time to write an introductory speech?
  14. I am not arguing that he had a fantastic year. And again, I like watching the guy play. What I dont want to do is have the Bills pay him that much money given the fact they have a great offensive line.
  15. They paid Rousseau who plays a premium position in the NFL top 15 money. James Cook is looking to be paid somewhere in the top 1-3 at his position. Do you think Cook is one of the 3 best backs in football?
  16. Notice you took out Robinson to help prove a point. Outside of the offensive line, Barkley and Gibbs are elite receiving threats. Can we all admit that Cook while ok in that respect can also be frustrating to watch catch the ball? Do we really want to compare Cook and Henry as runners or blockers? Listen I really like the guy too. I'd love to see him on the Bills for a few more years. But lets be realistic about who is beyond our emotional attachment to him.
  17. I completely disagree. For playing behind one of the best offensive lines in football he has good numbers, not great numbers. I think he is a top ten player at his position but he isnt elite. Unless he suddenly learns to be a better blocker this year I dont know how you justify paying him upwards of $15 to $20 million dollars a year. I dont think he is near the player as Henry, Barkley, Bijan, or Gibbs. Not to mention the fact that he is going to be 27 at the start of the 2026 season. He's a talented back but no way do I pay him that much money without letting him test free agency in a class that stacked.
  18. Cook is a good back. He isnt worth this level acrimony or stress from fans. He is a good back who needs other good backs behind him because he has trouble playing all 3 downs. Its more than likely he plays out the year and moves on to another team. Some guys you extend a year early because you dont want to bid against other teams. Some guys you let hit free agency because there is a chance they are worth less than they think they are. James Cook is in the second category. The 2026 RB Free agent class has some names in it. Cook may end up being the belle of the ball. But guys like Breece Hall, Kenneth Walker, Pacheco, Derrick Henry, Tyler Allgier, and Kyren Williams will all be potentially available.
  19. My only memory of his phone call with China is China saying it didnt happen.
  20. I imagine this will be a rip off of the NBA City Edition and MLB City connect jersey. I doubt you're going to see a chicken wing on the jersey. I fully expect a snow theme, with some sort of charging Buffalo inside of the city flag logo. I hope they keep it pretty streamlined because less is more on a football uniform.
  21. I bet you used the caveat "consequence" to ensure even if something does change you can claim its not of "consequence"
  22. I dont understand your logic. The ATVS and Dirt Bikes you were "ripping around" on were still dangerous. Just because you didnt have an accident personally doesnt make them not dangerous. Not everyone gets killed by a shark swimming in the ocean. Should we just assume sharks arent dangerous? 91 people were bit by sharks last year. On average there are 9,000 golf cart related injuries per year. Golf carts can go up to 20mph. If you rip it around a corner its most likely going to tip and spill you out to the ground. If you're lucky the 500-1000lbs they weigh wont fall on top of you. The lesson here is A. Dont be an idiot when speed and machinery are involved. B. Even if you're careful accidents happen. Obviously you shouldnt let fear dictate your life, but you should also make good decisions based on facts.
  23. I coach football, and I think it's a case-by-case basis. My oldest son started begging to play youth football at 6 years old. I told him absolutely not. I love the game but I dont think there is a reason in the world for 6 years olds to be putting on equipment their heads can't hold up and hitting one another with it. I relented at 9, which I still think is too early. I will fully admit that part of the reason I allowed him to do it was because he has a good arm and I knew he'd end up playing QB. He's played for 5 years never had an injury and is the starter on his JV team. Last year he watched one of his O-Line members get a nasty concussion. The kids eyes rolled into his head. My son broke down after the game and thought about quitting. I even considered pulling him because what are we really doing here. My youngest son is a tall thinly built kid. He wants to play badly but he doesnt have the skill or body mass his older brother has. I dont see the benefit of him playing right now. He is a good baseball and basketball player and I'd rather him focus on those sports. Football is a fantastic sport that teaches kids a ton about work ethic and sacrifice. That said, you really need to weigh the benefits for your kids. Also, you have to be honest with yourself about your kid's ability and size. I cant tell you how many kid's parents Ive dealt with who think their kid is a NFL superstar in the making. Even at the youth and high school level its a dangerous sport. Dont send your kid to be someone's tackling dummy.
  24. They lose because Patrick Mahomes is slightly better than Josh Allen.
