  1. Had the pleasure of listening to Schumer say Trump supporters are stringing this along to cause chaos. Do we so soon forget who caused the real chaos? Sickening.
  2. It is not my position. But nowhere in the article did it say Favre made the interest off of the money he took. The article actually said nothing about where the figure came from. Only that in their opinion he owed interest on the original amount. My guess, is the interest they are speaking about was based on a percentage they came up with or the Value of the money from when he originally took it to the point he paid it back. Maybe it was even based on his net worth from one point in time to another. We don't know that because it was never explained. Personally I feel like paying the amount he took is fine. Especially when the United States legal system has set a precedence when it comes to corporations, PPP loans for the rich etc where they feel like multiple million dollar debt can be forgiven. Where do you think that money comes from? We can all throw our hands up about Favre because we can put a face to it. But believe me, large corporations and government officials rob us way more than some washed up football player ever will. It's a farce.
  3. My kids basketball team played Newfane the other day. One of the kids on Newfane looked right at the ref and yelled "what the f" not the clean version. Ref did nothing. The kid ran down to the other end of the floor, threw my kid to the ground during a jump shot attempt. Then screamed at him "you're not him!" That prompted multiple chest bumps from his teammates. I've coached youth and high school sports for 15 years but I've had it. The kids have become entitled jerks and it's easy to tell where they get it from when you speak to the parents.
  4. Agreed there. I was more interested in hearing why Shady didnt think Allen was a nerd, than having to hear another debate about whether he turns the ball over too much. I think they are seen as separate issues. However, I think the margin for error is so small in the NFL that you could argue if Josh takes the check down instead of gunning for the endzone in the latest Chiefs game there may be some sort of correlation.
  5. No matter who we vote for we vote for people's interests who make up 1% of the population and 95% of the wealth and land. It's the same story since European Kings sent explorers here. If you think you're on the right side of history just because you vote Democrat guess again.
  6. I think what he brought up was apt. Yes, its the same argument a lot of people make, he's too reckless/he cant beat Mahomes (both of which are true to an extent) but I also think Shady did a hell of a job of saying why those things are excusable to an extent. For those who aren't going to listen Shady essentially said Allen is like a modern-day Favre. He said his ceiling is so high that you will take the recklessness. I think they both agreed that no one else in the league can do what Josh does. But, Josh tends to get in his own way as well. One of the points Shady made that few people seem to really take to heart is that championships are harder than hell to win. Patriot fans seem to think they grow on trees.
  7. Ill post a link to that as well, but Beasley was on the Shane Gillis Podcast earlier this week. He said he text Beane to come back when he left the Giants and Beane said "Ill keep you in mind." I have no doubt its Beasley. Tried to embed the code but didnt figure that out either.
  8. After watching so many players come through here during the drought he was one of the first players I watched and thought oh thats what a special talent looks like.
  9. If your bored give it a watch/listen. First and foremost, Shady is hilarious. Secondly, he goes to bat for Allen quite a bit. Part that stood out was Edelman saying a former Bill who played with both Josh Allen and Daniel Jones said Jones was way more accurate than Allen. Have to imagine it was Beasley or Hodgins, but Breida or Davis Webb would also make sense.
  10. Seems like a lot more smoke than fire. That said, McDaniel will be on his 3rd Defensive Coordinator in as many years, neither of which is gone because they were promoted to a head coach somewhere else. Additionally, if you have players that play hard depending on how they feel about a coach, then you have the wrong type of players. Not hard to prove when Tyreek Frickin Hill appears to be a voice of reason in this article. I understand coaching has changed a lot over time but I think when you fail to delineate yourself from your players you're asking for trouble. There needs to be some clear standards set, otherwise who are they answering to?
  11. Thats if he wanted the job. He is getting paid 19 million dollars over the next two years by the Titans to stay home. Personally, I think the guy is taking a year off to see if the Ohio State job opens up at the end of the year. If not maybe the Steelers job is open?
  12. Rodgers is an intelligent guy, but he isn't an emotionally intelligent guy. He knows a lot about a lot, but his lack of emotional intelligence doesn't allow him to recognize the things he doesn't know, for example, being an NFL GM. His arrogance led him to believe he should be involved in roster decisions and play calling. Being a winning organization, the Packers saw it for what it was and moved on. The Jets, being a losing organization with a head coach who is equally as arrogant bought into it. The Packers chose the organization over Rodgers. The Jets made Rodgers the organization.
  13. Screw a tryout he needs to be signed to a futures contract and brought to training camp.
  14. Sorry to hear of your loss Scott. Continued prayers for you and your family during this time.
  15. This is the NFL. Only one team wins. Ravens fans should be mad at themselves for buying the hype machine around Lamar. The media loves the guy. The media is wrong. They have to play a 1st place schedule next year. We will see how they do.
  16. Thats exactly what I've had to tell myself and luckily, I've grown into believing it. It saves me a lot of grief over football. And the more I look into playoff history the more I realize its incredibly hard to make it to the Superbowl. In the last 20 years of the NFL only 7 franchises have represented the AFC in the Superbowl. NE, KC, Pitts, Den, Indi, Bal and Cinci. Which is to say only five QBs have gotten their teams to the Super Bowl from the AFC in twenty years.
  17. 100%. I went into the game knowing the linebackers being out would be a huge deal. Mahomes loves to work the middle of the field and quick passes just outside the hashes. Not only that, but I dont think Johnson or Douglas were completely healthy. The end of the season was the first time I'd ever thought Josh was the best QB in the league. There is still time, and I have every confidence Allen will bring one to Buffalo.
  18. I'd love to grab a beer with the Kelce brothers they seem like a blast to me.
  19. Because Josh Allen is the only QB in the league on Mahomes level.
  20. The gap between Mahomes and Allen is miniscule. The gap between Josh and Lamar is large.
  21. So if you kill someone with your car after drinking it's manslaughter but if you get messed up on weed and stab someone over 100 times that's probation? Something tells me if this women was 300 lbs, looked like Bill Belichick in a dress and lived in any state with common sense she'd be doing a lot more than probation. Pot is only part of the problem here. I'm gonna go ahead and assume this was pot from these cool new dispensaries that make the strains way too high. This idiot didn't involuntarily stab anyone. Regardless of pot, alcohol or any other substance your brain still has to tell your hands to grab a knife and plunge the thing into a human body 100 times. She is an adult, understood she was putting a foreign substance into her body, anything after that is 100% on her. Jesus California...do better.
