  1. Chris Olave should be on this roster tomorrow. Its time for Beane to call WGR, apologize, and make a move.
  2. Two weeks in a row one of those plays has been dropped 14 points...
  3. Nothing new. Except Josh has joined him and isnt bailing him out anymore
  4. I dont want to hear another thing about the defense. The offense blows and the QB is sloppy as hell right now.
  5. Right now its Mayfield. I'll get back to you after tonights game.
  6. They drafted Malik Willis while he was there too. He had plenty of chances to draft and develop a young QB during his time there. Part of being a head coach is helping to evaluate which QB to draft, and then when given that player to help him develop. Part of that is on Vrabel. Had Allen not developed McDermott wouldnt have a job either.
  7. He was 7-10 and 6-11 in back to back years. He lost 7 straight games to end the year in 2022. He also was part of the brain trust that drafted two busts at QB. Vrabel is a good coach but stepping into a great situation at QB in New England has started a weird sort of mythology about him.
  8. I think he has been better than last year, particularly catching the ball. That said he still isnt fast or clever enough to run a full route tree, thats a big concern. If he cant figure that out he becomes a situational player only. When a wideout is able to run the full route tree exceptionally well, you go from trying to win the lottery on catches you mention above, to working for a paycheck, making cash on every down. Part of this is on Brady. You have to put Keon in better positions to do what he does best. slants, curls, Ins, outs, comebacks etc. Until he gets more crafty with his releases and route running ability he is just useless on gos, corners, and posts.
  9. I put my hand out to shake McKellers hand and he pushed it away. Too busy flirting with the two blondes behind me in line. I feel like Dennis Shaw would have at the very least shook my chubby eight year old hand.
  10. Only if you eat a bunch of Spanish rice with it first. That was part of the story as well.
  11. Life has beat him up enough. He's essentially a loser outside of his Chiefs fandom. My everyday life would be a dream come true for him. My sports life is another story.
  12. When I was a kid my Father took me to the Thurman Thomas show at the Eastern Hills Mall. That night I met Keith McKeller and JD Williams. Got a football signed by them. A year later my Chiefs loving cousin from Missouri visited and popped my signed ball with a fork. The same year my Dad died. Fast forward to today where I have to hear the same cousin gloat about the Chiefs in group chats all the time. I still have the ball, its still poppped, my father is stll dead, and the Chiefs never go away.
  13. He and Bo Nix are adoptive brothers. Pretty cool story.
  14. Its likely Worthy ends up having a worse year statistically than Coleman. That said, the optics of the trade will continue to haunt Buffalo until they are both out of the league.
  15. I am going to be completely honest. I dont understand the physics of how a ground cannot help secure a ball to hands if the bottom of the ball is touching nothing but ground. I also fully admit I have no idea what a catch is beyond what a referee tells me. If there is that much nuance between what is and isnt a catch I am not going to involve myself in it.
  16. Were his hands under it though? I legitimately dont recall? From memory it looked like he hand two hands on top of the ball and there was nothing behind pig skin and the ground.
  17. and thats exactly why the "rules experts" are useless.
  18. 10s of Millions of dollars in camera equipment and we leave it to a guy who likely barely made it out of the 9th grade to throw a red flag in a split second, and a group of guys who he likely beat up to make the right call in the 1st place. Meanwhile millions of guys 5 deep into a six pack can see it hit the ground but the guy who NBC pays to be completely sober cant.
  19. Its 2025 and we still dont know what a catch is.
  20. I'd expect a little less chicken little and a little more faith in the fact that the Bills program is ahead of where the Patriots is right now. The Patriots look good, but until they win the division I want to err on the side of caution because two years ago I was told the Dolphins were going to win the division, the year after that I was told it was the Jets year. Vrabel is a fantasic coach, but he's made the playoffs 3 of 6 years. McDermott is 7 of 8 right now. That and the Bills have Josh Allen. If the Patriots win the division, good for them, but until they have sustained success I am not going to worry about handing them over the division. They are in a great position with a QB on a rookie contract. In a few years that wont be the case. Unless they close the gap before then I am not going to clutch my pearls.
  21. Its one thing to get the defenses eyes going the wrong way, but when a play takes 2 seconds to develop, you're doing too much with the scheme.
  22. Part of it. I think it has a little to do with the development of the quick passing in the NFL. I would imagine the average time from snap to throw has went down over the last 25 years.
  23. James Franklin wore out his welcome by personifying what the Penn State football program has been over the last 40 years, above average but never the best. If the next guy can win 70% of his games he will likely get 15 years as well.
  24. It has to be odd to be a fan that cheers for a rival team to get better just so you can say you were right about everything bad about your own team.
