“Legends” awarded F&B contract for the new stadium
BigDingus replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm curious as to what feedback was taken from these surveys & what will be incorporated into the stadium. The 2 most crucial things were already decided (location/whether it'll be open or have a dome), so anyone know what else the fans wanted? -
Or... and hear me out here...OR is it smart?! Did you ever think of that? Ok, yeah. It's stupid 😅

Jackson Mahomes Sexual Assault(Update)Arrested
BigDingus replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very true. One of the people I respect most was a captain at the county jail I worked at. Unfortunately, his family wasn't so great, with the worst being a brother that got arrested several times while we were on shift. It was quite embarrassing for him, but we knew they were nothing alike. One had a 25 year career in law enforcement, the other was constantly doing/dealing drugs, driving under the influence, and getting arrested for theft... still doing all this at age 60. -

He never said "3 game stretch" though. -
Very Early Season Prediction with game by game Explanation.

And somehow KC will still get the #1 seed... Pretty sure he means you have them going 3-0 against the 3 toughest teams on the schedule, all away games. Philly, KC and Cincy, all penciled in as road wins. Seems unlikely, but I'll take it! -
True! 🤣 Tbf, as I've gotten older, I'm getting more & more nervous during every game. Probably because unlike in the past, I know the Bills have a legit chance to contend for a SB.
-
I like McKenzie, just never trusted him to be consistent. When he was back receiving on ST, I was nervous. When a ball was in the air going his way, I was nervous. Even though he definitely had moments where he shined, I more vividly remember inexplicable drops. I do agree with him that Dorsey probably never gave him the opportunity to be the next Beasley

I hope this backfires entirely, and they hit record low numbers. Sure, they get the money from NBC & Peacock gets some extra subs, but all that ad revenue would fly out the window when they see the small amount of eyes they're advertising to. And even that boost in subs will be temporary. Peacock will have shelled out that boatload of money for a 1 month boost consisting of mainly free trials. Oh, and even worse if the 2 teams involved are from small markets. Diehards will begrudgingly sign up to see their team, but that's about it.

Players that ARE HOF inductees but should NOT be
BigDingus replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know most people point to Terrell Davis's relatively short career as a ding against him, but I think the other Broncos RBs all putting up 1,000+ yards rushing seasons for years after him is the bigger ding. 1999: Orlando's Gary - 1,159 yards 2000: Mike Anderson - 1,487 yards 2001: Split Carries between Anderson (678 yards) & Davis (701 yards) 2002: Clinton Portis - 1,508 yards 2003: Clinton Portis - 1,591 yards 2004: Reuben Droughns - 1,240 yards 2005: Mike Anderson - 1,014 and Tatum Bell - 921 yards 2006: Tatum Bell - 1,026 and Mike Bell - 677 Not to discredit him entirely, he did have a 2,000 yard season after all, but everybody was able to run behind that line. -
XFL Championship Sat 5/13 8pm ABC/ESPN
BigDingus replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't have much interest in the XFL this year. Feels like 2020 was peak interest, off to a great start, then kaboom... It seemed like it was going great too, so I was surprised they abandoned ship so fast. Now I just see spring leagues like a Netflix show with 1 season... Why get invested when you know it's getting canceled? -
https://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=37606810 (Sorry if already posted somewhere, didn't see anything) A lot of these team schedule release videos have been hit or miss, but seeing Josh ride around on a bicycle throwing papers was worth the watch. Edit: Also think Desmond Nutsworth (Deez Nutz) will be a star for us! 😆

Schedule Release - Rumors & Leaks
BigDingus replied to FitzShowUsYourTitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh, I didn't see a thumbs down. Wasn't me! I'd rather see Bills vs KC mid-late season, even if we're more likely to beat them early. But yes, a week one matchup would definitely be fun. -
This is just 4 of them. They rank Allen: #4, #2, #5 and #1... Diggs is also sitting at #16, #4, #16 and 12. I feel they selected a handful of rankings that'll get people talking, but clearly the one that has Allen at #1 is just trying to get attention 😆 Thoughts?

Schedule Release - Rumors & Leaks
BigDingus replied to FitzShowUsYourTitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because the entire world would let out a collective "so what?" Bills looking good early in the year, Bills beating the Chiefs in the regular season, even Bills beating the defending SB Champ week 1... we've all seen it before, and it didn't amount to anything in the end. We've also seen Chiefs look vulnerable early, just to end up in the AFCCG or SB yet again. -
If you don't think this will get traction in the media, I think you should just wait until a team signs him. It'll be talked about everywhere. The Bills don't owe him an apology though. They never accused him of anything, and said they wanted to let him go out and defend himself. If i remember correctly, he also didn't disclose to the Bills that this was being investigated? Either way, everybody loves a comeback story, so I'm sure he'll get his chance again. Just sucks it was delayed for over a year and won't be for us.

After the draft: current odds of the Bills winning the SB
BigDingus replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am very much with you. Really hope everyone hypes them up so they can hear from every fanbase how "overrated" they are like we went through last season. Even though Josh put up 40+ combined TD's again, his rep in the eyes of fans from other teams dropped a lot. It'd be nice to start the season without 90% of media pundits not having Allen as their MVP favorite & put the focus on the Bengals & Burrow. -
If You Could Pick Any RB to Line Up Behind Josh
BigDingus replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Marshall Faulk or LT. Both great pass catching backs, both can eek out that tough yardage on short downs, and both could pass protect. If I had to pick a Bills player, Thurman would be the obvious choice to me, even over OJ. -
Should Beane have made the trades that he did NOT make?
BigDingus replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think you're forgetting the Antonio Brown trade... before AB blew it up 🤣 We dodged a bullet there. -
I don't know how much non-Bills stuff you follow, but the general conversation on sports social media & traditional media has moved on well past the point of people taking Allen over Burrow.... like that's just not a conversation rooted in reality at this point anymore. Polls, YouTube videos, Twitter, sports outlets, you name it, Josh's stock was falling before the Cincy game, and the Dolphins & Cincy game sealed it. Nick Wright & others successfully got NFL fans to focus in on Josh's turnovers, highlighting not just the sheer number, but just now bad many of them were. On top of that, they added all his fumbles together (not just LOST fumbles), to where you now see people calling him a turnover machine with 30+ fumbles & INTs combined. I know it sounds harsh, but seriously, I have not seen a single poll or video discussing QBs all off-season where ANYONE put Allen ahead of Burrow. Bills fans would, but we're the same group that still claim we'd take Allen over Mahomes, so yeah...
-
Still disagree. Eye test shows me Burrow is slightly better, at least in the playoffs. Allen had one great, 2 game playoff stretch 2 seasons ago, and has only been average- pretty good the 3 other years. The furthest we got was a blowout in the AFCCG, while Burrow got to a close SB loss. Aside from that, Burrow is just more consistent in the regular season. Allen has hot starts & some high peaks, but it's almost a guarantee he'll hit a mid-season drop-off where he turns the ball over a ton & gets in his own head. He's not far behind Burrow, but enough so that almost all non-Bills fans have cemented Burrow as the definitive #2 behind Mahomes. But hey, we can all look forward to arguing again about Allen's ranking being too low in the NFL Top 100 in a few months, where Burrow & Hurts will inevitably rank higher as Josh's rank slips into the 15-25 range 😅
-
Nah... who needs LBs anyway? Just eliminate the LB position entirely & throw out a bunch of safeties instead! It's so stupid that it just might work!

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
BigDingus replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Glad we're getting a new stadium, even if I hate what we're getting for that money. Better to guarantee the Bills staying in Buffalo & improving the game experience for fans (even if that means increased ticket prices). -
4th place is accurate. There may be some rankings I disagree with, but their top 5 lines up exactly with my own. I think Allen's ceiling is as good as anyone, Mahomes included, he just has a lower floor (that we also see more often). Hurts was definitely the surprise of the year for me, but he earned a top 3 spot for sure.
