  1. Brady has been surviving without an arm for even longer...It's nothing short of a miracle (nightmare) he's still playing at a high level in this league.
  2. Man....if only he was a better QB, this guy would be a dream come true. Love his passion & commitment, but he's playing EXACTLY like most thought he'd be playing given his career in HS, JUCO & College. Sad too, as he's just such a likable guy.
  3. Makes me curious as to what fans would rather have (not that it matters)... Would you rather have donations for projects like this, or would you rather he donated all $1.2 million (or $1.3 now) towards a new stadium that would cost taxpayers nothing, and ensuring the Bills stay in Buffalo for years to come?
  4. Clever! I think if you went back through the threads I posted, you'd see I definitely know what I'm talking about.
  5. He'd have a better chance of developing on the bench. People wanting Anderson to start are likely wanting what Allen and the Bill's should've had in the first place - an experienced vet to mentor the rookie while simultaneously giving us a buffer for the year and allowing our 7th overall pick to not embarrass himself on a weekly basis. Because if you call what you've seen of Allen so far "developing," you obviously enjoy complete and utter failure. We had 29 passing yards right before Allen had his 1 big pass & went down...He had 82 last week, and the week before was in the 80's until GB went into garbage time mode midway through the 4th. If you add Allen's Passer Rating the last 3 weeks together, sure, he's sitting at a 159.6, better than a perfect 158.3! But if you consider that his average becomes 53.2, that's Peterman today level performance.... for 3 straight weeks.
  6. People won't accept what's smacking them in the face when it comes to Allen. We used a ton of assets to get him, so those that hyped themselves up on him during the offseason will need a loooong time to adjust their perception on him. Remember all those posts claiming accuracy doesnt matter, stats don't matter, performance in his own conference didnt matter, play against good opponents didn't matter, etc.? The defensive fortress went up quickly, so it'll take a massive amount of miserable performances to chip away at it and have a realistic discussion on Allen.
  7. I knew before the Bills played a single snap that it wouldn't take long for fans to be calling for the OC to be fired. Usually, it's unwarranted and impossible to judge based on such horrible personnel. But it's the game-losing decisions that are finally making me break.... With 1:34 left, game tied 13 to 13, wtf was the mindset going into that drive?! Most people would think "make the Texans burn their 2 timeouts, run down the clock, and play to flip field position considering how phenomenal our defense is playing!" On top of that, if we get a 1st down or 2, THEN we can consider playing a bit more aggressively and go to close it out. That's BEFORE taking into account who was behind center and how inept the offense has been, but factoring those 2 things in should've GUARANTEED there was no other choice their. But no... we foolishly go all Bills mode out there, proving that McDermott is cut from the same cloth as all those boneheaded hires before him. Incomplete pass, stopping the clock, leading to a 2nd pass and an easy game-sealing pick 6. It's maddening to watch something so predictable yet preventable consistently ruin games.
  8. Well he played better than Allen... until he didnt. Too bad there was only 1:34 and our idiotic coaches decide throwing at that point, and with Peterman no less, was a good idea.
  9. Im not one to be overdramatic or knee jerk react, but whether it was McDermott or Daboll who called 2 straight passes with 1:34 left in a tie game on our 25 i want them fired.
  10. Very useful. I mean, we were up 3 with our backup QB in, on our side of the field... It was very convincing we were going for it there
  11. To go out on a penalty is indicative of this team's personality. What an awful experience.
  12. It's also hard when you only throw 1 of every 4 attempts on target.... Or when most of your positive plays come from running. But yes, another costly penalty doesnt help either.
  13. Add protecting your punter and not getting your punt blocked to the list of easy things the Bill's have trouble doing...
  14. Watching the game in person, the most frustrating thing Ive come to notice is the Bills make easy things look hard... Throwing an easy slant pass on 1st down? In the dirt instead. Go anywhere but backwards after getting a hard fought 1st down? Go backwards via false starts to ensure you're out of field goal range. Completing a fair catch on a punt? Nah, fumble in your territory instead. Stop a 3rd and 18 on defense? Easy conversion. Any other low percentage 3rd down conversion for the opposing offense? Commit penalties to keep em on the field. Poor execution makes it so hard to ever evaluate this team's potential.
  15. That's awesome! Thank you! My wife is so thrilled by the whole thing, kept asking me to "ask your Bills friends online!"
  16. I did, but I've never heard of him. I barely use Twitter, only made one to better read stuff people post. Can't find much about him.
  17. So my wife and I were traveling to Houston for the Bills game, and some guy walked up to me and said "dude, did you know you're on Twitter?!" I said no, so he pulled out his phone and showed me a post from a reporter that took a pic of me lol. Anyone know this guy? Sorry, don't know how to post the Tweet with pic in its original form! And if anyone is tailgating here, let me know! Want my wife to meet some fellow Bills fans!
  18. Funny...I'm sure these owners love taxes when it comes to paying for their new stadiums, but boy does he want to avoid them when the money is coming out of HIS pocket And you better make damn sure your drafting is exceptional, otherwise don't expect to field a competitive team since no free agents will come there. GO JETLAG JAGS! The funny thing is we pay just about the same amount of money per person through public money already as those same countries with universal healthcare, only because we've created such a huge multi-billion dollar industry with private healthcare, our money gets us far less, and per person we spend about 3 times more for the same procedures, meds, appointments, etc. than other industrialized nations. Really sucks that we can't go back in time & fix it, because at this point it's probably too little too late...Oh well!
  19. The problem is all these coaches that come in say "the way to win is pounding the rock & a strong defense!" They think because they're in Buffalo, it's the only way to build a team. Seriously, every friggin coach we've had says that same damn thing. It's like they've resigned themselves to the idea they'll never develop a good QB here, so they might as well just pretend like its their intention to limit the offense to run-run-pass-punt. Then again, I feel for these offensive coordinators... They probably WANT to do more, but can only call plays based on what they have. And when the HC's always say they want to build an offense that focuses on "managing the game," field position, and protecting the ball over any kind of creativity or risk-taking, they just have to do what they can within the confines of the philosophy dictated by being a HC in Buffalo. The Bills have had plenty of good, sometimes even great defenses the past 2 decades.... It doesn't mean anything unless your offense can compete in the modern NFL. All these stupid risk-adverse, game management, strong defense coaches pretty much seal their long term fate by trying to play like its 1975. Unless you put together a defense that is one of the ALL-TIME greats, it's a pretty safe way to ensure you consistently aren't a threat to ever do much in a season, let alone win a Super Bowl.
  20. It really doesn't... In the NBA it sure could, but in the NFL not so much.
  21. Well obviously Allen wouldn't make the top 25 rookies...he's not even close to decent yet. More upsetting is that Edmunds isn't on here. Yes, he's young, but he was supposed to be one of those guys you could plug in right away & have a huge impact. Plenty of other LB rookies have done it, even those you don't expect much of anything from (like Kiko Alonso). There's 6 LB's on this top 25 list, with many being only a year or 2 older. Edmunds hasn't been nearly as bad as Allen so far, but he's still not excelling as much as I hoped he would. I figured he'd for sure be one of the 6 best rookie LB's, or top 25 rookies period at this point in the season. Oh well, can only hope he plays lights out the rest of the year.
  22. Yes, both are true, but like the All-22 shows, Allen is the one limiting the supporting cast at the moment, so it doesn't really matter. Until he gets to be even semi-decent, the limits of the supporting cast don't really matter as much. Once he makes it to even their level, THEN the supporting cast's issues stand out more. But if we're saying his supporting cast sucks, and he's the worst player on the entire offense regardless of who's out there, then you may as well say Allen sucks too considering they're not the problem atm.
  23. Throwing no TD, while throwing sub-100 yards (or like last week, throw sub 100 yards until the final quarter where it's pad the stats time), throwing INT's and taking sacks instead of throwing the ball away (not all his fault) IS actively losing a game. There is nothing about Allen's performance the past 2 weeks that can be considered good. You can pick a couple plays, maybe 1 drive, but the entire game consists of dozens of plays & drives! Isolating a few out of an entire body of work does not mean he's somehow helping this team. The team is helping him, in spite of his problems.
  24. Passion is great. Being strong is great. "Would do anything to win," is great. Being 6'5 is great. Having a fantastic arm is great. But being inaccurate, having no pocket awareness, unable to read a defense, takes too long to throw, makes poor decisions, and looking totally clueless out there are NOT great things. How can you sit there & pretend he's anything other than what he is, when this is EXACTLY WHAT HE HAS ALWAYS BEEN and EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS SAID TO BE pre-draft??? I mean seriously, to be even a little bit shocked, or to make any excuses for what we're seeing when we all KNEW BEFOREHAND this is what he is confuses me. If he was some world-beater in college, sure...I'd bite. If he put up monster stats & broke all sorts of FBS records like Mahomes, sure... If he rose to the occasion time after time, taking down tough opponents, sure... If he was the best QB in a conference full of good QB's (instead of an honorable mention in a conference full of nobodies), sure... But when he's exactly what he's always been, absolutely not. Won't blame some lack of talent for just how poorly he plays. Our O-line is a joke, and our WR's suck, but Allen is still lacking between the ears.
