  1. I’m not big on McKenzie, only reasons I can think people lock him in is his experience in the system and returner ability if Roberts gets hurt. I don’t see any reason they can’t incorporate Roberts into those same gadget/sweep kinda plays McKenzie runs. I would personally cut the guy if others step up and show signs of being a legit threat down the field
  2. He’s definitely a different breed than the rest of the receivers. I think he may be a victim of the numbers game here this season though. He needs a monster preseason and practices to have a shot. One thing is for sure though, if/when him and Sills get cut half this board will go into meltdown about how they’ll take New England or KC or someone to the super bowl
  3. This stuff is just crazy. I have my conspiracy theories like the NFL is grooming Mahomes to be the next poster boy Brady so make sure not to take away his top weapon. Or goodell is being easy while CBA negotiations happen so nobody pushes to take away his power. One thing for sure though, he has suspended for less and Hill must of spun or shown proof his girl has been trying to set him up. Either way it’s a weird precedent for the NFL. They have been so strict and suspended over basically hearsay before. Now Zeke gets off for something small and hill gets off for something that can potentially be a huge national news story if it hits the fan again
  4. I think both hires have been homeruns. Their legacy here in buffalo is tied to Allen’s success 100% though. Sucks everything falls to the success of QB1 in the NFL but as proven in Buffalo talented teams don’t save jobs you have to get a top 15 quarterback
  5. His mouth is bigger than his arm. To be fair though I’d imagine the guy is hassled by reporters 24/7 and asked a million questions it’s probably easy to get trapped into controversial quotes sometimes. I still don’t like him
  6. No reason for a large portion of the roster to put real effort into those games. The only teams who actually win a preseason game are the ones who finish it healthy.
  7. As with most stuff madden doesn’t know anything about the bills. They browse some rankings sheet and see maybe tre had a “down year” and toss a number out there. The whole ranking thing is a joke anyways. All flash in the pan stuff. JJ Watt misses more games than he plays yet he’s top 10 on the whole game. It’s all kinda silly. Its also one of the reasons Lamar Jackson is so popular cause he was a running machine on that game last year and luckily in the video game he could complete some passes too
  8. I love the idea, of course there will be kinks needed worked out. Love having 2 extra games, think players limited to 16 is GENIUS. But the roster needs increasing how many players a team can carry. Sure 53 active for game day but you need a larger roster for the whole season and possibly a bigger practice squad.
  9. I would agree. No reason to give up picks for him and then signing him to a big extension. If they value him enough they can target him next year in free agency if he sits out, although I wouldn’t like that either. He’s had real issues staying healthy since being in the league.
  10. There’s a couple ways things can go. Glad it’s still a ways away from real debate. I would consider the safeties gone IMO for no other reason than you can get good players at cheaper prices there than re signing Hyde or Poyer to very large deals and secondaries are made and destroyed by the teams pass rush. Shoot when Schwartz was here he got mckelvin looking like an all pro corner cause the line got pressure immediately every play and he only had to cover 2-3 seconds a play. Tre has to get an extension because they have to set the example they’ll give big money to those drafted. Beane has shown he sets a price on a position/need/player and what he feels it’s worth and won’t budge above that. I like Hyde and Poyer and I’m sure it’ll depend on what kind of money they want but I would expect they’ll walk to a very fat contract from another team. Fun debates on the horizon for sure on these kinda subjects.
  11. Durability at a position where players get hurt so easily and take such a beating paired with gores talent this doesn’t surprise me. Guy is just a wrecking ball and rarely seems to get serious injuries
  12. I wouldn’t expect anyone outside of bills fans to want Allen. Nobody watches him play just sees the stats for fantasy football or on the game ticker or something. If I only looked at stats per game I wouldn’t want him either and would consider him trash. Luckily I watched the games he’s played in and see more than the stat line. We will see this year if he takes a step to being in that next class of elite quarterbacks to takeover for the Brady/Brees etc etc who shall retire soon. Definitely not surprised another fan base thinks he’s garbage. There’s quite a few fans around the league who would already consider Lock, Murray, Darnold, Jackson, Rosen and Mayfield way better quarterbacks than Allen.
  13. I had to look but since like ‘77 you nailed basically the two players who did anything from that draft. It’s basically a giant waste of time.
  14. Supplemental draft is a joke in my opinion. I wouldn’t give up a pick for any of those mentioned
  15. Although my game days are over in the buffalo area I would still go with the roof. Years ago I wanted them to peg a new stadium in the Lewiston area as close to the border as possible. In my older years I realize that probably wouldn’t work out too well and of course have no clue what shape Niagara Falls/ town of niagara/ Lewiston is in these days. I just always felt that area needed the infusion of surrounding businesses a stadium would undoubtedly bring. If/when they do a new stadium I will make the trip to come see it though
  16. I would agree on this. And to follow up the OP not sure Ray Rays career is over if/when he’s cut. He’ll always have a shot to latch on somewhere and make some plays. For some guys it just takes one coach to get them on the field making plays.
  17. He will be a difficult cut for sure. I liked his shiftiness. Honestly when he gets in a lot of practices with Mr Beasley his game could really skyrocket. I’m not sure he can make this team this year though. Going to be an insane battle for that #6 receiver spot depending on things. No need to open the debate of projecting the depth chart just I have the top 5 locked already which will make very difficult decisions on cuts at that position. McKenzie is a guy I can cheer for though with us or most teams who would sign him if we let him go
  18. That guy is definitely looking for attention. I don’t think as highly of foster as some on here but he’s surely not trade bait in his second year. He showed some real flashes and rapport with Allen last season. Our biggest weaknesses last season could possibly be the strongest this year. Foster isn’t trade or cut bait. He will 100% be on the team and could either lead the team in receiving or be a rotational deep threat with brown. One way or another though he’s seeing meaningful snaps during the season
  19. I would say a deep playoff run to the afc championship game or super bowl gets him a fat extension. I cant see any possible scenario he could get fired this year. I think they could go 2-14 and he’d still keep his job this season. I do expect them to be a playoff contending team though as currently constructed
  20. Shaq takes too much heat around here. People are expecting the sack numbers which I get, but he has matured every season and gotten better. This is definitely a tell tale year for him on the player he’s going to be. Just because he hasn’t “flashed” does not mean this is his peak. It only takes learning one good move to change those sack numbers. Let’s use Charles Johnson for an example from the panthers, that’s my usual comparison for Lawson. Similar kind of players and it took him a bit to make some impact. I won’t cry if they let Shaq walk but I did find it puzzling not to give him the fifth year since there’s really no reason not to other than you just don’t want him around. Not like the money would impact anything for next offseason. IF he has a big year his price is ridiculous for another team or us to sign next offseason. Could of had two years at bargain price against one, IF he improved. I’ll root for the guy either here or his next team unless he goes to New England
  21. Setting up the hype train early for Sills. I wasn’t sure who exactly on the roster was going to cause meltdown come cut time. But it appears Sills is “the guy” this year. The guy who buffalo let get away and everyone is going to sign immediately cause we can’t judge talent. I’m rooting for the guy, but I’d rather he takes a year on the practice squad than dress him for game days. There’s better guys more than likely who can play/produce better right now. Long term I like what Sills has but hard to translate that as a rookie on a possible run first team
  22. Mahomes gets it for sure. He’s the new media crush so everything he does is all time great legend status and of course he did have a fantastic year
  23. I absolutely think fans would cheer if certain players were hurt. Especially patriot guys. Brady, Edelman, Gronk when he was playing would all get a huge ovation if injured in buffalo. There might be a few more like Jarvis Landry too. It’s the nature of the beast. Emotions are high in a giant crowd. At home might be a different story. As for Durant I personally hated to see it, guy was gonna be a free agent and get a huge payday but more importantly possibly shift the balance of power in the NBA and make some great headlines. That injury is dreaded especially in the NBA and now he’s gonna possibly miss the entire season next year which sucks for the league
