  1. Yeah I think the term lazy is used for Mario when it should be washed up. He played really good here, especially the first couple years. His skill set just faded. Happens to all of us.
  2. Houston can keep Clowney as far as I’m concerned. Good/great player but not a cornerstone building block with the injuries and that’s the contract he’s gonna get. Teams are very limited on how many 20 million a year contracts they can give and Clowneys agent isn’t letting Beane wizard up a long term contract with easy outs every season. Guy is gonna get a massive contract and be a top 3 paid defensive lineman
  3. Completely possible. However looking over some of his routes the guys got moves. Similar to basketball with a great crossover Beasley seems to juke coverage out of their cleats
  4. Just my opinion but I think the jets better be praying that offensive line can run block. Cause if Bell isn’t able to run that team is going to be 3-13. Darnold can play, but they are not built to pass. Bell might get 100 catches if he’s healthy
  5. I hate hate hate the cowboys, but I do see quite a few games from them. Beasley could be an absolute monster, he’s 100% right and had every reason to be salty with Dallas. Dak is not a good quarterback and he never looked for Beasley who is literally uncoverable. Nobody can cover this guy. We don’t know if Allen is going to be good yet but I’m really hoping he develops something with Beasley because the guy could easily catch 100 balls if he’s targeted. He runs elite routes and is open every play
  6. My kind of underdog story. I was a big fan of his even in Pittsburgh
  7. Every player cares. That’s how you get the advertisements and endorsements. You either need an MVP type season, a super elite team/record, or some standout coming out party national TV games, Allen wants to win first no doubt, but every player in the league is concerned in marketing their brand and increasing their money
  8. It’s got nothing to do with us. I specifically said for him and his brand. If he sucks all year and has one amazing elite game on thanksgiving he’ll gain a lot more fans nationally. If we’re a middle of the pack team all season and he has a bad game on thanksgiving he’ll continue to be a nobody/bust across the country because people will never really see him play
  9. I actually agree the thanksgiving game is HUGE for him specifically or his “brand” if you will. Across the country nobody knows much but his “stats” since everyone just looks at a quick google sheet. Outside of buffalo very few people actually seen him play and he’s considered the 4th best rookie quarterback last year. And there’s more bust talk than potential franchise quarterback talk. I think a lot of people’s minds would change if they actually seen what he’s capable of. I mean our jury is still out if he’s “the guy” but we’ve seen the flashes of elite talent most people have no clue of
  10. I would agree. I love to root for the underdogs but hyping them up so much usually turns into a giant meltdown after preseason. There’s a reason they are drafted super late or undrafted. In Sills case specifically he’s obviously got some talent, but an awful lot of scouts and gm’s have to think there’s a reason he won’t translate fast to the nfl.
  11. Fantastic. I will be sure to post all the scrub signings around the league going forward. Thanks for the smarta** input
  12. Panther guy replacing him huh? Seems ol ESPN sees the writing on the wall for the next powerhouse of the east. Have to get someone with Carolina ties in to cover the bills playoff runs the next 10+ years. One can hope right
  13. Pop is an amazing coach. One of if not the best coaches in NBA history. I hate his politics side of stuff (hate all politics no need to think I hate it cause he represents a certain side) but he’s an amazing coach. And seems to be a super cool guy. I have a lot of respect for what he’s done in the league with the talent on his teams. Definition of team sports there in San Antonio
  14. I don’t stress the turnover too much.. A lot of it has to do with team leaders. They tend to get the guys in line just as much as coaching. Holding each other accountable etc etc
  15. Newsworthy stuff is ya know bills related. New England signing some bum doesn’t belong on here cause last I checked this was the bills message board? Don’t see all the dolphin and get scrub signings on the first page
  16. Pats were the laughing stock of the league for a very long time before Brady. If you suck for decades and are not drafting #1 overall why should anyone pay you any attention in the national media? We have not drafted the “top” players, we have not signed the “top” players. Buffalo does not deserve any props from national media until they are a legit contender and can do it on a regular basis. I don’t want the browns type of hype, or even the stupid jets hype since they signed bell.
  17. Been a really long time since he was good in Carolina, got that fat contract from Washington and it didn’t take long to figure out it was Carolinas scheme as much as Norman’s talent. He is NOT an elite corner, he is a corner who had a couple nice seasons on one side of the field. He can’t line up and cover anyone he needs a particular side of the field to work on. That said we don’t need him, don’t need his mouth. Maybe he’s got some playing left to do somewhere but I for one hope it’s not in buffalo.
  18. Not sure where this comes from, while the offense played poorly last year Daboll had some brilliant game plans. The offense couldn’t execute squat and having no running game and a million penalties killed a lot of momentum. Daboll had some iffy calls but overall I thought he schemed fantastically. The receivers on this team couldn’t get open or separation and he schemed them open. I also thought for the first time in many years the offense could actually make adjustments at halftime and counter things opposing defenses were doing well. It’s not out of the realm of possibilities that with a really big jump for the offense he may find some head coaching interviews
  19. When did this become the star thread? Not sure what everyone expected, he wasn’t elite in Carolina, he was overpaid but so what? Do any of us know what he does in the locker room? Practice field? Film room? Did they pay for production or process stuff? Same reason Tolbert floated here as long as he did. McDermott likes to have his guys in the locker room setting the example for others. And they’ve rewarded those kind of players. Every team needs role players and guys who know their stuff. Maybe Star is a future coach in the making. Maybe he works insanely hard off the field. We don’t know. Everyone can agree he was overpaid and production didn’t match the money. Oh well you can find 2-3 guys on every single team in the league who overpaid in free agency and the numbers never matched the salary. Star has been beaten to death on here and it didn’t hurt the team one bit or stop them from making any of the moves they wanted. Same for Murphy.
  20. There is definitely no reason they need to make a move now. Let the kids get the reps. Someone like Rudolph could end up being cut later on anyways and you won’t even have to give up anything. For now though it’s probably better to let the young guys get all the reps they can handle and prepare them to play
  21. Little concerning how much people are freaking out over Kroft being injured. It happens. Nothing anyone can do about it. Next man up. That GM who gives such terrible contracts as some say thankfully has an abundance of tight end options on the team. On top of other options available via trade or free agency later on. No need to freak out over an injury in May.
  22. Not sure Teller can make the cut. Lot of experienced depth there now, he’s in for the battle of his young life for sure. I expect McCoy is a lock. Everyone else I would expect to be gone before week 1. No matter how you look at it or the million roster projections we see before the season starts we are cutting some talent at receiver and offensive line. Not top tier talent obviously but we are going to lose some talented players and keep a couple questionable guys in their place.
  23. Mahomes comes back down to earth and is a turnover machine and the chiefs defense is what almost gets them in the playoffs
  24. It all depends on Allen. If he can build a chemistry with Beasley yeah he’ll be Allen’s best friend. Allen’s biggest weakness last year was the quick throws and swing passes and he threw a lot of ugly balls. If he can’t be accurate in the 2-10 yard range Beasley is useless.
  25. Lol the meltdown will be priceless though if him or some of the board draft gurus favorites get cut and are claimed by another team. We have multiple Reily loved kind of players this offseason. Not knocking Sills he has some potential but all 32 teams know something we didn’t that’s why he wasn’t drafted and his chances of making the team are very slim.
