I picked josh Allen #4 overall in my family league. Yup #4. Fantasy football is a blast. I can honestly say I have never really watched any of the shows or listened to it on the radio before though. I just play or chat with my family and coworkers about it every once in awhile.

Being a fan is supposed to be fun, if you’re this worked up and making ultimatums before the season even starts maybe it’s time to take a step back and just try to enjoy some games this year and not worry about the record. If there is one thing I’m fairly confident in it’s that this regime has quite some time to build a legit winner. I like the steps they’ve taken, doesn’t mean they’re ready yet. Either way this group is going to be here for years to come unless there is some form of epic meltdown this season and next. Other than that strap in cause Beane and McDermott might be around the next 5+ years

That was painful to read. You should just pledge allegiance to the jersey teams now and save yourself the $$$$$ I left buffalo about ten years ago and live smack dab in the middle of the Titans and falcons and it’s never once crossed my mind I would ever want to switch teams and I’ve always followed Atlanta closely since the Andre Rison and Deion Sanders teams. Bills are in my blood though as painful as that can be at times. I’d rather not watch football at all than cheer for the jersey teams

You are so certain it’s a bad decision. It’s not a Super Bowl or bust kind of thing here it’s the friggen practice squad. If they think the guy has potential to be better that’s exactly what the PS is for. Just because you don’t like the guy, or your evaluation after watching 3 preseason games says he has zero potential for an NFL career does not mean you’re correct and everyone who doesn’t agree with you is wrong. You keep fixating on the tuel thing and the whole point was other quarterbacks who “have not earned a spot” have played in the league, started games etc etc. not that I want this coaching staff to do anything. It don’t matter to me either way what they do. Just that people shouldn’t get so worked up and hate some kid because he hasn’t looked good in 3 preseason games. The sole purpose of the practice squad is to give players a place to learn and get better and of course use them in emergency situations

Tuel almost started game one of the season as an UDFA. And started a game later on, was on practice squads. Seems pretty relatable to me. Quick FYI, most quarterbacks who end up on practice squads........... don’t actually do or show much in preseason to earn a spot.

Some of you guys are too hard and have zero patience. There is literally zero harm in putting him on the practice squad, a year of film study with Barkley and Allen and seeing how they diagnose coverages and blitzes etc etc along with the coaches can go a long way. Not to mention he will constantly see how a top ranked defense works in practice. Seriously what did you expect? A UDFA quarterback from a small school sucks against NFL preseason defenses, who is shocked by this? How many drafted quarterbacks have looked just as bad? We started, I repeat STARTED Jeff Teul, and tyree is too trash to hit the practice squad? His peak is backup quarterback in years 2 or 3. The chances are almost nothing he can ever be a starter, but if he’s a viable backup with a similar skill set to the starter he does have some value. It’s not like they can’t just cut him from the practice squad at any time, it’s also not a given there’s a better option available with the depth the team now has after cuts.

Sounds to me like “ I ran out of money and I’m not very successful in everyday life careers, can I get a couple million to train a few weeks and play a game or two before heading to injured reserve? “

I’m gonna pick Pete Carroll. Maybe not fired unless they totally fall apart but retired. His team has clearly peaked years ago and he’s getting up there in age

I swear to god I’ll smash my remote if I see Allen get scared like a little girl when a d lineman breaks through and he just throws it on the ground and takes the penalty cause he’s scared to be hit. I know it’s a smart play in the grand scheme of things for him and his team but omg I scream every time I see Brady do it. Most gutless play in the whole league.

I think you are over valuing our “cut” players quite a bit. Miami can package Tunsil, Stills, Rashad Jones and some of their draft picks. Any mixture of those is better than anything buffalo should give up. Zay Jones, Foster, Shaq Lawson, Trent Murphy, shady, none of those guys are even on the same level as a high Miami draft pick, or Tunsil. Shady has zero value, Houston can literally sign doug martin tomorrow and possibly have the same value shady brings for a vet minimum contract. Their running back need is not the end of the world as they just got Duke Johnson and need one more back to compliment him. Tackle is their biggest need and we don’t really have anyone of value at least on a clowney level. Tunsil, Stills and a draft pick lands clowney to Miami if the dolphins are dumb enough to do that. And Houston comes out looking like a legit playoff contender.

Every team almost is going to drop some NFL level talent at deeper positions. Listen, someone has to play in the XFL dang it. Marcus Murphy could be a real superstar there instead of 4th string on the cowboys or somewhere. Of course the money is better to play in the NFL but I’m sure some of these fringe players with some upside still would like to showcase their talents

Yeah Mario dominated the first couple years of that contract. He was literally unstoppable getting to the quarterback

Come on now, Shaq is nowhere near as bad as you make that sound. He could start on plenty of teams. He’s not an elite pass rusher like many wanted from that high of a draft position but he is quite strong in some other areas and has really looked impressive this year

Clowney can play anywhere. He’s played both end spots and both outside linebacker spots and also DT in the Texans scheme depending on how they run their 4-3 or 3-4 sets. Part of the reason for his numbers not being better is how they move him everywhere

I really liked it. As others said there might of been a couple too many. Love the no new threads during games. Would enjoy no new threads for a certain time frame after games and keep the chats in the post game threads. I’ve never been a fan of how many “look at me” posters are on here that feel the need to have a thread just for their post game opinion when there’s plenty of places to have dialogue already with similar and opposing theories. But the site is a blast and I do enjoy visiting daily and the continued effort to please the masses on here. The moderator team do a fantastic job and some of you guys are amazing at breaking news literally as it’s happening on here.

Dolphins absolutely have better pieces to get this deal done, I for one hope they do get him I don’t want him in buffalo. But they have stills the deep threat they can throw in, like it or not he’s a much better player than Foster and Zay at this moment, of course they have an elite level LT to dangle, couple decent running backs and defensive backs to dangle. And they definitely are expected to have very high draft picks. I don’t want buffalo to pay the guy 20 million a year. I just don’t think he’s ever going to be much better than he is and it’s just too much money to tie up for a guy who is not a game changer. Not to mention the fact he may just bolt in the offseason anyways

I’m with you. Seems to be possibly a knee jerk reaction by luck to some bad injuries etc etc. at 29 I would expect to see him again unless there’s a lot more to this story

I think Zay could be a much better player than what he’s shown here, and maybe he just doesn’t click with the coaches here and get it. He may shine on another roster, with that said nobody is going to trade anything of actual value for him. Your talking maybe some sort of conditional 6th or 7th or if we’re lucky some fringe player maybe looking on the outside of another teams 53. I expect he’ll be cut and signed up by someone like Tennessee or Baltimore or something

He’s the Calvin Johnson of defenses. I remember always saying “wow he looks like he’s playing against kids” and I feel the same with edmunds. He just looks so much bigger and faster than the others. It’s like someone created him on madden

I’d have to give the MVP to duke. Haven’t seen a buffalo bill make a contested catch like that in years and it’s been incredibly frustrating watching other teams making catches like that routinely. He gets my MVP since he probably won himself a job with that catch and the rest of a complete game for him
