  1. I’d like to see some shotgun with Yeldon and Gore in the backfield to give josh some faster reads and get the dang ball out on a checkdown every so often
  2. You guys gotta relax on the put Barkley in stuff, Allen is the guy this year unless he’s hurt. You might as well cut him now if you’re gonna bench him. He has to learn how to get out of these cold streaks
  3. I’m at a 3 as well. Not sure this team is ready to put 4 solid quarters in which is what it would take to pull off a win. Still exciting to be in the position of having such an important statement win game this early in the season. I’d love to see a similar game to Minnesota last year where nobody expected much yet the team came out and just dominated.
  4. This is a Robert Foster, 4 receiver set game if I’ve ever seen one. Gilmore should probably be watching John brown a lot, of course they’ll be trying to take away Beasley too. Whoever the third is that steps up could have a huge game and make a real impact. Foster, maybe Knox, could be McKenzie in his gadget role. Someone needs to take hold of that third option and not let go
  5. This Bills team seems to play to the level of their competition, which is normal for younger/inexperienced teams. It’s a dangerous brand of football since you never put the other team away and they’re always in the game. I have tempered my expectations for this game, we’ve been here before and been trounced. Hopefully we keep pace with them and fight hard and pull out the win. The only thing I don’t want to see is a meltdown game of hero ball from Allen and a blowout.
  6. I hated all the other quarterbacks and I still do. I think they’re all overhyped and nowhere near as good as the hype around them. I like Allen though, not sold he can improve his game on the field enough to be the face of the franchise but I’m impressed with what he’s done so far.
  7. What good is another weapon on this team? Sure go get Julio Jones, mean jack squat when josh is still learning to read the field. He’s not going to target a new weapon much more than the guys he has. They were killing it to start the game, brown was dominating and then poof.. it all disappeared. You can put as many weapons on this team as you want, if josh don’t see them there’s no point. This team goes as he goes, if he takes a step forward he already has plenty of weapons to run a deadly offense.
  8. I’m with you, give these weapons to a top 10 quarterback and they can have a deadly offense. As josh grows he can better utilize these guys. Daboll is an excellent schemer weekly for this offense. If we had a worse coordinator this team would of been in complete shambles last year
  9. Running back does look concerning, definitely expect to see some slash kinda stuff with McKenzie and Roberts
  10. Gotta be careful with things like this. They are both approaching 30, safety money skyrocketed with the Landon Collins deal.
  11. He was out there, but with so many rotations and the emphasis on stopping the run it looked like Lawson took some of his snaps over on Hughes side today. I’d be interested in seeing the snap counts on the D line
  12. Zay provides some blocking, I guess maybe that’s why he’s in, making the defense think it’s a running formation.
  13. Fitz knew what he was getting into. Guy makes good money to take that beating and embarrassment. With that said, Rosen is screwed if they put him out there with this team. His tape was bad on an epically bad cardinal team last year, now gonna put bad tape out for an epically bad dolphin team. Nobody will ever sign this guy. They should go back to the wildcat and let Kenyan drake run the team.
  14. We probably have not seen the last of this. We have an entirely new offense, these guys are all learning how to play together and it takes a little bit to get on the same page. They’re actually much farther ahead than I would of expected. As the competition gets better though I expect to see a few more quarters like that 3rd today.
  15. Got to give your guy a shot at least. You can see plays he’s using some touch on his throws which is an improvement cause he didn’t do that a lot last year. But a ball like that is a gimme. You know they’ve practiced it a million times and nailed those throws. He must of just gotten so excited he let it rip. Not many quarterbacks have to take something off on a 50 yard bomb
  16. I have been one of the biggest Zay supporters but the guy just can’t make plays. He’s had plenty of opportunities now and he still can’t make a play on a consistent basis. I think you might be a little hard on McDermott though. I think he can be aggressive, we just haven’t seen it much. I get the vibe watching games and listening to him he really values confidence and execution. If he can’t trust the team to execute he is extremely conservative. When they have momentum and things are flowing he doesn’t seem to mind taking his shots. I think a lot of the conservative stuff is protecting Allen, or trying to. If this is a team who plans on battling for a playoff spot I would be concerned as well with the conservative calls today if the trend continues when things get crazier
  17. I wasn’t too concerned with the pressure on defense, Eli was getting that ball out pretty fast, and the plays he didn’t I felt like they tortured him pretty well for not throwing it fast. Singletary for me anyways, is the key to this season. They need a running game, they need some explosiveness at that position and that kid can be a bit of a homerun hitter. I do like that they’re involving gore especially around the goal line and ball security situations. In order for this offense to be deadly though they’re going to need singletary. Great write up though, I especially agree with the 300 yard graphic. I literally said welp thanks for the jinx
  18. Got to be hard to be soooooo good for so long and now start missing gimmes. He will go down as one of the top clutch kickers of all time. He’s the Mariano Rivera of the NFL.
  19. I would say Russel Wilson is much better at avoiding the sacks. Seattle always had such a terrible line Wilson always had pressure non stop. Him being smaller probably helps avoid those sacks as well, but the guy is deadly extending the play. If there’s one thing I would want Allen to study off of Wilson’s game it would be his ability to scramble and extend the play and still throw a 100 mph fastball over the middle. I am not a fan of this running and taking so many hits. Guy gets beat up in the pocket enough without taking hits as a runner
  20. After the first drive and Barkley scoring so easy I was having flashbacks of last year expecting a 200 yard game, I never thought they would lock him up the rest of the game
  21. This game wasn’t against the pats. Sometimes young teams play to the level of their competition. It’s dangerous but teams need to learn how to win effectively. They’re breaking in an entirely new offense. Takes time.
  22. Man you guys are ruthless. The kids learning on the job, this is the offensive line and the best way for him to learn is to play and have tape to watch with his coaches. I’d be much much more concerned if this was week 6 or 7. Have a little bit of patience we’re 2-0. The team looks great so far even though it’s against 2 below average teams
  23. Siran Neal was everywhere out there. Also allen, despite everyone whining about the play calling josh made NFL throws today, played smart, threw the ball away, and even slid when scrambling. Huge steps forward
