I find this whole Baltimore offense similar to the wildcat with actual passing. I expect 2 years max before it’s dead. with that said they are running it extremely well. They attack at every level. All the misdirection behind the line and ball handling is hard enough, then mix in screen passes, and that dreaded over the top pass play to one of the tight ends or brown. It’s a very deadly attack. They are built to control the clock and pound you into mistakes. As everyone says though can they come from behind? They have lead most games and once they get up 14 you can kiss the game goodbye. I like that the patriots played them soft and vanilla. I fully expect Belichick knows exactly how to stop this he just wanted their heads to get big and not be able to make the adjustments now before the playoffs. I have a lot of respect for what they are doing, but I consider it more of a trend than an actual legit offense that will be around for years to come. One thing is for sure, josh better be able to beat man coverage this week and be able to handle the non stop blitzing

It doesn’t matter what tight end you bring in. Our tight end production is not because of talent or inability to get open it’s simply Allen doesn’t look for them often or Daboll does not have them as part of the passing game plan. Knox and even Kroft can have waaaaaaay better stats they just are not targeted much. Neither is probably as good of a pass catcher as hooper but it does no good to spend huge money on the same production you’re already getting. Hooper is going to get top 10 tight end money which means 8-10 million a season, he’s not signing some super friendly team deal to join buffalo like Kroft did. Atlanta has been terrible for two years, horrid defense and losing most of their games, so since Matt Ryan has to throw 40+ times a game and they have Julio and Ridley outside I would expect Hooper to gobble up open targets. I know buffalo can afford it I just don’t see the point. Jordan Phillips is going to get paid, maybe shaq, gonna extend some young guys coming off rookie deals.

One thing is for sure, the Bills are going to have a serious fight on their hands. Baltimore is extremely physical on both sides of the ball.

Roll call for officiating conspiracy believers

I never claimed they lost games once again so there’s nothing to list. There is no legit cheating going on. There is too much to lose for everyone. 100’s of billions of dollars.. The NFL or even kraft would risk the insane yearly revenue stream? If a legit scam or cheat happened and the actual NFL and an owner is involved and planned it, it’s the end of the NFL. They would never survive. The criminal charges and media coverage would ruin the league not to mention the Vegas blowback. Why do they need to cheat? Is the LEAGUE’s bottom line that much higher with a patriot super bowl win than say Seattle? You could easily argue that for the league this season it would be much more profitable to get Kansas City or Baltimore in the Super Bowl over New England. So come playoff time will we see Jackson and mahomes get the elite quarterback treatment? Or they still favor Brady? Secrets can only stay secrets for so long, someone would talk. A bitter official, former disgruntled front office guy blackballed, the league has been out and out cheating for 20 years and nobody talks? Ever? -
Roll call for officiating conspiracy believers

I never said the pats or anyone lost any game over a bad call. Bad calls happen to every team. Brady is protected in lots of instances but so is Rodgers and Brees and the other top quarterbacks. These plays you highlight happen all the time and don’t get called. Favoritism happens in every sport when the top key players are involved. Lebron James lowers a shoulder like a safety and bulls over some poor defender and hits easy and 1 layups for his entire career and it’s never called a foul. Same stuff for Brady and Manning when he played and the list goes on. Cam Newton got slaughtered a few years ago and was on sports center every week taking late hits and hits to the head and no flags. Everyone knows the golden boys at quarterback in the NFL get those calls, Newton did not. Basically every company in this country has favoritism why would the NFL or NBA be so different in protecting what they consider to be their key pieces to success? -

Watch the games. I don’t have archive footage saved on my phone lol. The pats don’t get every call. As I said the refs blow calls across all games and each teams fan base complains. Read patriot fans comments on Facebook and see how much they cry about the refs being against kraft and against the patriots -

Every fan base even the patriots deal with the same bad calls we do. the games are not fixed, the refs may sway momentum at times with bad calls but I don’t think there’s any real conspiracy to it. Im sure the NFL would prefer certain teams to shine, but were talking about a multi billion dollar business who is in front of 100’s of millions of eyes LIVE multiple times a week. There is ZERO chance the officials or league is really tampering. The risk is too high, and there’s no way this kind of stuff goes on and NOBODY ever comes forward or tells stories or sells their story to TMZ on their deathbed or nothing. It makes us all look bad as fans when people are crying on social media about refs sabotaging their team. Yesterday was a prime example. Cowboys got all the calls, yet buffalo stomped them. Good teams overcome bad officiating and find a way to win games. ALL teams get bad calls every week -
Do the "look at me" actions of Shaq and Oliver bother you?

Is this really what we have sunk to complain about? Theyre having too much fun and celebrating too much? Both guys are playing for a contract. Probably the biggest payday they’ll ever see in their careers. Let’s also add they are BOTH having their best seasons of their young careers. Let the boys have fun. If they’re not being flagged for excessive ness who cares? Mcdermott is not going to stand there and preach all the stuff he preaches and let players act a fool on the field. Need to find something better to complain about not liking this team -
10 days to prepare for Lamar and Ravens

I like the matchup of the bills D vs Baltimore’s O. I think the zone defense can limit a good portion of the trickeration Jackson runs. Baltimore really only runs 3-4 plays they just have 1000 variations to them and multiple options based on the read. Man coverage is impossible against them there’s no way to cover all those guys between the motions and rpo stuff. Baltimore has started hot most of their games, and just pounded defenses to submission by the 4th quarter. Love to see buffalo score 1st and put Baltimore behind and see if Jackson is a legit MVP candidate or just a fad of Romans offense. I find what they do to be similar to the wildcat but with some passes mixed in. Wildcat lasted what 2 years maybe before it fizzled out and didn’t work really anymore? Probably the biggest game for the bills since the “playoff” game. Win this one and buffalo becomes a media sensation and hottest team in the league for a little bit -
Under the radar star for the Bills vs. Cowboys
Rc2catch replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shaq is having a quietly amazing season compared to what a lot of people thought he was. He’s developed a bit of a pass rush now and is a beast against the run and batting passes at the line. I was very against not picking up his option for the bonus year of production. He’s going to get a pretty big payday in the offseason. I would of liked the 5th year to see his peak production before the heavy investment someone will make. Jordan Phillips is also out there making big money every week. Buffalo has the money easily to sign them but how inflated will those contracts be -
CBS: maybe we were wrong about the Bills

If buffalo beats Baltimore expect the 24/7 national media coverage like the Super Bowl champ browns were getting in the preseason -
It was bad, but it’s bad in all games. Good teams overcome, and buffalo did. The conspiracy theory stuff about the nfl fixing the game etc etc and being out to get the bills is quite extreme. They made some bad calls, and definitely favored the home team on some of the calls. Rarely do penalties decide a game unless your team is committing an obscene amount of them or the calls are in the final minutes. Swaying momentum sure, but out and out fixing the game is different

Not sure there is an actual upgrade out there, but it never hurts to look.

Ewwww I feel sick just from opening this thread -
Wasn’t the huge craze on here that you HAD to have an offensive head coach to win in today’s league? Nagy, Pederson, McVay all with their young quarterbacks have shown serious regression.

Go on the record: The concern-o-meter!
Rc2catch replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m concerned the offense can put up 200 total yards and the game still seems to stay close and I’m concerned they can put up 400 yards and keep it close sometimes. But I am dang excited at a shot at the playoffs and being possibly the most dangerous team since nobody can predict what offense or defense shows up. Most teams offenses have kinda peaked at this point after a certain amount of years/games together and buffalo is still gelling. Just have to get into the playoffs and get hot at the right time. This team can beat anyone in the NFL but is just as likely to get man handled by a lot of teams too. Exciting final month of the season coming -
I don’t watch a ton of redskin football, but I pay enough attention to know Norman has been bad there for a couple years. So bad he was almost a healthy scratch for one of the worst teams in the league yesterday. People think Levi Wallace is getting torched well you definitely wouldn’t like Norman here. If you’re going to add veterans to the team in the offseason you want guys like Gore on their last legs who can hopefully produce a little on the field still but you know they’ll work hard and be an asset to the team off the field, not a diva who has been washed up for two years and carries a giant attitude to pair with declining play.

Spitballing a Tre White contract extension
Rc2catch replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whatever the salary it doesn’t totally matter, they’ll sign him long term at some point he’s not getting out of buffalo. He’s been healthy, funny, passionate on the field, and obviously been the best corner in the NFL that nobody knows.
