  1. Knox can easily be in the same category as the kittles and kelces of the world. Might take a couple years but he has the tools. He’s had some yips but I sure as heck wouldn’t write him off. Hard to blame Kroft they don’t even target him or look his way. He’s just a serviceable tight end I guess who is there if we need him. Kroft was gold in Cincinnati when he was healthy, guy caught tons of balls within 10 yards. Allen never throws to him. Either Daboll only really wants them to block or he doesn’t value the position in his playbook for receiving but they do not feature tight ends well at all. Knox gets his few targets a game but I’m pretty sure most of those are designed plays specifically to get him open a couple times a game
  2. There’s going to be some decent receiver options in free agency and the draft obviously. It’s very hard to predict these things though Beane is looking ahead at contracts and resigning guys they like etc etc were looking at the now. Just an example so don’t freak but let’s say Beane really doesn’t value Milano and mcdermott doesn’t mind letting him walk. Knowing that they might target a linebacker in round one and as fans we’ll freak because we don’t see their plans for the future that they’re drafting an impact player early expecting him to take milanos spot the next year. As a fan it’s hard to see the bigger picture. Regardless though we have to have some faith they know what they need for this team. Remember all the posters saying they could NOT judge offensive talent? The freak out over the singletary pick? All in all I think they did a helluva job evaluating the offensive talent they’ve added to this team. One could argue singletary is the MVP for the offense this season as the offense can’t do squat when he’s not playing. They were judged so harshly for Tolbert and Benjamin etc etc but they knew what they were doing. Didn’t work out in every case like Benjamin but a lot of teams in a playoff race would of made that trade hoping to give him a resurgence in his career. We should fully expect some new receivers, more offensive linemen added in and another running back (I’m still homering for Derrick Henry until he’s signed long term somewhere) And they will add to the defense too. Rather cutting star and Murphy or letting Lawson walk or whatever they do. Free agency will setup the draft and lord knows how many surprise cuts there will be in free agency. Let’s finish the year and go win a Super Bowl and then worry about what we need to win.
  3. He is absolutely a star in the making. I would like to see them blitz him more often from the outside just cause I’m not sure he is blockable with that speed. Either way though he’s a fantastic player and it’s kinda crazy to think it’s possible he’s not even close to peaking yet. on a side note while we’re tossing some love around Shaq Lawson is most deserving of an I’m sorry thread. Some Fans have hated the pick since day one and written him off and wanted him traded or cut since day one. He was drafted too high, but you have to respect his work ethic and ability to get better. First he couldn’t stay healthy. Couldn’t rush the passer. Yesterday his work on the edge was amazing. He was either so fooled he couldn’t move or his discipline to maintain his edge was perfect. He was a monster reason Lamar had trouble breaking from the pocket. He is never going to be a league leader in sacks or defensive MVP but he is a starting defensive end in the NFL.
  4. You people? I’ve never said anything negative about duke or supported him being inactive. Not sure if you woke up on the wrong side of the bed lol.. All I said was him being on the field yesterday probably does not make a difference, not a knock on him more of a knock on Allen not finding receivers and some of the receivers dropping balls. No guarantees duke doesn’t drop the same balls Knox and Beasley drop. He has 6 catches its hard to say he’s not going to drop crucial catches as well or have bad penalties. But I don’t and never supported him being inactive for game days. Matter of fact I have wanted Yeldon and him active for weeks. They need everyone on deck for the offense
  5. That defense is playing lights out. TJ Watt is pretty scary. Even more scary if he’s taking on Ford one on one. They better learn from the film of this Baltimore game cause the blitz is coming next week too but it will be much better disguised. Baltimore didn’t even try to hide it lol just lined up and rushed right at us. Pittsburgh is coming from everywhere and Fitzpatrick is just playing centerfield knocking down passes. Luckily I like our chances vs the duck. If this defense can force Brady into his worst game ever, then contain Lamar mostly, I’d be pretty disappointed if they let up and got beaten by 3rd string duck
  6. It was ugly all around. They gifted buffalo some calls at the end to keep it close. First half was in favor of Baltimore
  7. just because he caught a few doesn’t mean he’s catching those balls today. He very well could have but it’s not a given.
  8. I am only kidding.. It’s in the NFLs best interest to get KC or Bal in the Super Bowl from the AFC. But whoever the Pats play next week better look out there will be some makeup calls
  9. I don’t know why they would even complain. What en entitled spoiled fan base, they all know it’ll be made up come playoff time ??
  10. I wouldn’t care as much but I read today Tennessee is undecided and will probably let him walk. Not every player has to be a bargain. If you got the money you might as well spend it. Hurts nothing to give him a fat deal. Guy like him changes the entire dynamic of this offense. We got good value for Yeldon, they don’t even want him. Might as well pay for someone they’re going to use and use a lot
  11. Why is it too much? They have more cap than they can possibly spend without bad contracts while Allen is on the rookie deal. Beane does not do contracts unless he gets an out so anything with Henry would be more of a 2-3 year deal. Who cares what we pay as long as there’s production? You can’t just pluck a rookie and guarantee production. With Henry you already know what you’re getting. People need to stop worrying about contracts the money has to go somewhere. Buffalo has an amazing cap and can afford to blow big money on 2-3 players and still re sign our own guys.
  12. I would like to think they told Roberts to run everything out. I can’t see mcdermott allowing him to constantly give us bad field position all game and not flipping out if he’s doing it on his own.
  13. That’s the best time. I don’t like losing but I absolutely love reading all these people crying to cut and fire everyone and what the team needs
  14. No. They are not making plays. It’s the perfect storm of failure. Gore should retire tomorrow and Roberts should be cut. /end thread
  15. I don’t think he should be inactive but he’s not going to be this monster game changer some are making him out to be. If our tight ends can’t body a defender and catch a ball I can’t see duke being much more effective. Duke doesn’t change much in this game today but of course that’s just my 2 cents.
  16. I would prefer all 3 active. The mismatch I think they’re missing with Yeldon is teams aren’t going to look for the run. He’s gonna get a few yards
  17. I can’t even read it today lol.. I’ll check on it tomorrow when everyone is cooled off
  18. What’s the saying?? Act like you’ve been there before? This guy sounds like a jock rider. Was probably on mahomes last year, Brady before that.
  19. Lol enjoy your ban troll.. Dang kids get off my lawn already
  20. Agreed. But you’d expect he’ll run the offense still. More of a how does the offense do vs does the team not win a lot
  21. I fully agree. I had no clue who he was but one video clip and I had faith they knew he was a great change of pace guy and would have some success. That shiftiness is elite even if he’s not a homerun hitter
  22. I’ve been preaching a few days to go get Derrick Henry if Tennessee let’s him go. He’s exactly what buffalo needs. We can afford the salary for a couple years it’s not like Beane won’t have an easy out in 2-3 seasons.
  23. It was a little off. I thought it was smart because of the constant blitzes everyone knew was gonna happen. If Allen hits one of those deep passes it changes Baltimore’s defense. If I have brown or Foster one on one outside you have to take shots to back the defense off. On the season Baltimore blitzes like 50% of the plays I’d be very interested to see the % today. Other teams can hit at least one of those deep balls. I do agree with the singletary and shorter routes but I wasn’t against taking some shots to back the corners off
