Well yeah it’s not like he was supposed to be playing as an NFL starting quarterback in December in a playoff type game. I actually came away impressed all things considered. Our defense is insane and he kept his composure mostly. Very very good at escaping the rush. He threw up some balls hoping his guys could make a play.

I like the Texans matchup. Tre on Hopkins. Fun times there. Tennessee is scary to me cause Derrick Henry is a monster and their defense is much better than Houston IMO

That poor guy.. I honestly felt bad despite the game being so close. We complain about Allen not getting time and not having weapons, duck was in trouble every play with free rushers.

Risk vs reward my friend. When the offense is clicking mcdermott will play aggressive. When they are not executing he doesn’t push the envelope.

Very fair point. No name guys making clutch catches on every team. We chose small guys because of the speed but we are not using it. These guys are not built to take big shots over the middle because they’ll be murdered by a safety and they know it, or go over a defender at the sideline. This should be a screen team lol but we know that ain’t happening

Not sure the hate on mcdermott. They controlled the half for the most part. Defense is on fire. Allen just had a turnover. If something happens you guys kill him for possibly losing the lead before the half. Play it smart, get into halftime and make your adjustments. Allen is playing decent and the receivers aren’t making plays for him.

Lol this game day thread is the “I hate collinsworth” thread. You don’t HAVE to listen to him.

That’s the knock though. Josh loses rhythm with easy gimme throws. He’s made that throw 4-5 times already tonight. It’s a momentum killer and a harder 3rd down.

I would agree. To me anyways it looks like Shaq found a gear he didn’t know he had. Now he’s looking pretty dang unstoppable on a lot of plays.

I rewinded a couple times his footwork looks really good too.

Well.. Good thing Pittsburgh isn’t a good defense or anything. And Shaq had a pretty nice pressure. But hey the glass is half empty I get it. They only do wrong nothing is right

Any turnover is automatic so it wouldn’t matter

Be a rough signing. Good player but Kwon and Mosley murdered the contract market last year. Got to think this guy is gonna get paid similar? Maybe a little less but he’s still costing over 10 million a season right?

I would like to see Yeldon active for the game. Even if they don’t plan on using him much, it’s just another look to show the defense. And Yeldon can get a few easy yards rushing cause if they put him out there the defense will be expecting pass. I’d rather have him active even if he’s only out there 10-15 snaps. Use all 3 guys and keep Pittsburgh guessing. Gore in they expect run Singletary is everything Yeldon they expect some passes. Just gives us some added formations and looks Pittsburgh hasn’t seen on tape from us.
