  1. That part doesn’t matter much, pats are still responsible for his actions rather they knew or not or rather he works for them or not. THEY brought him up to the box he’s their responsibility and should of made him aware of the rules before filming began. This is setup very nicely for the pats to have plausible deniability. They learned from spy gate. Independent contractor not a part of football ops keeps bill safe from punishment to a certain extent. Yet the spy gate stories of these guys having stories pre planned in case of being caught and one being you work for Kraft productions not the patriots speaks volumes. Regardless of what’s on the tape the Pats are already guilty. They broke the rules. It’s very ticky tacky if the video is all legit and the story etc etc but they’re guilty all the same. You don’t go through spy gate then deflate gate and NOT TELL THE WORLD you are videoing something in the press box unrelated to your next opponent Cincinnati. They are considered possibly the top organization is all of sports for the last 20 years you can’t make a silly mistake like that. That alone should be enough to hit the team hard with a penalty. This is a non issue for EVERYONE if they communicate properly. People are overreacting as usual, and lots on here as well because they don’t bother to read or look at anything but a headline and straight to comment something stupid like the NFL will cover for them. Regardless of what happens though knowingly or not they are guilty of a rule violation. The extent of the punishment is the only thing to debate and it’s pointless to debate until the tape is released or the league hands down the penalty.
  2. https://mobile.twitter.com/diannaESPN/status/1204150404377911298 I don’t twit so I don’t know how to work it lol. wheres @YoloinOhio when I need him ??
  3. It’s a tweet, and it’s in this thread. I think from Diana whatever. There’s like 2 pages of jokes about how that’s the only smart thing cinci has done all year
  4. The tape is going to come out probably. If the league is soft about punishment the bengals are going to release it. I don’t know how severe the punishment is going to be but I think it depends. If there’s 8 minutes of bengal coaches and assistants it’ll be a wicked penalty. If it’s stupid non important stuff expect a little fine and maybe a mid round pick.
  5. The league has to stay ahead of it. They can’t cover it up because the bengals have the original video. The NFL has a copy the bengals made them. If the league tries to hide things or releases a report or punishment stating different Cincinnati can release the video. That’s what I understood from reading on here and the pats board anyways when all the tweets started coming out.
  6. Landry is up there pretty high with me. And Mahomes through no fault of his own, just the hype and his fans anointing him the best ever so fast. He’s not as good as his stats last year, never seen someone throw so many lame ducks 30 or 40 yards and little receivers catching it like a punt and running 15 yards in for wide open touchdowns. He makes some great throws too and of course the unheard of ones life his lefty flip. Just hated how his fans acted and now that he’s come back to earth a little and had some injuries they’re not as cocky or disrespectful of everyone else. And I’m in the minority I like Edelman, not against the Bills but I respect his skills on the field. Brady shifted him in the other night to a tight end spot and dude laid a clean nasty block on the KC safety. How many receivers will even attempt that? I like scrappy guys like him and woods and I wouldn’t hate Landry but I can never forgive the hit on Williams and I can’t stand his big mouth
  7. Not sure adding a kicker who is struggling and lost all confidence right before playoff time would be a smart idea. #4 is a veteran who has been around to make clutch kicks, even though he’s struggled you want that experience come playoff time.
  8. Can’t pass judgement without knowing what’s actually been recorded. If we take what they say at face value it’s possible just a monster fine for kraft and maybe a random draft pick. I don’t think they’ll hit them that hard if the tape is what they say. However if we’re talking they’re filming the sideline the entire first quarter this could be a punishment like which we’ve never seen in the league.
  9. Like others said if it’s dirty no way it’s the first time it’s happened. And if you are the #1 team in the league with a sketchy past why even risk something like this for a show? And if you risk it why would you not make sure the league and EVERYONE is informed you’re doing this
  10. Yeah but it wasn’t as concrete. Spy gate the pats kinda admitted quickly and accepted their punishment. They didn’t fight that one as much. Deflate gate they needed to get more info to really make it stick. I think it was wrong and they were guilty as hell, I just don’t think it was proven that well. It was kinda a cluster**** On the plus side I am dying from laughter reading these guys. First time visiting there and I hate all the ads but thank you to whoever posted it earlier it made my night https://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/threads/wtf-is-this-pats-accused-of-videotaping-cinci.1150837/page-28
  11. This exactly. If the Bengals were mad enough to make a thing of this (justifiably) and the NFL plays it wrong why wouldn’t they “lose” the tape to TMZ. A cover up or not taking it serious could literally cripple the entire league Some of the other comments on here I think we could be getting a little crazy with moving the team and forcing a sale etc etc there would have to be more concrete evidence. Deflate gate or whatever wasn’t that big of a deal. Spy gate was the thing and yes if this current situation is proven there should be some extreme actions taken but let’s not get too crazy and start taking rings away (not that that actually does anything at all) and moving the team away. It’s a loyal fanbase of all sports and as much as I hate some of the fans how you gonna force the team to leave those fans?
  12. He’s looked bad against a lot of inferior defenses too though. Philly Cleveland the opening game against the Jets weren’t exactly great. He did enough to win. And he’s improved a lot of stuff from last year. Hes still missing wide open guys. Can’t hit a deep ball. Very inaccurate on short routes. And still throwing some 100 mph fastballs when it’s not needed at all. And he’s shown a real problem fumbling. I have no disagreement that he’s here for the duration of Beane and McDermott’s time. And I still have all the faith in the world he can deliver. But it’s concerning to see a lot of these issues showing up and even more concerning they show up in games they should be dominating on offense. Part of the reason we do not have the killer instinct to put teams away is his inability to have consistency. I don’t want to get into a big thing over it I might sound like a bit of a hater but I really don’t spew negatives a lot over him I just think as fans were getting a little ahead of ourselves on his progression so far and where he’s at.
  13. Buffalo is in fine shape for the cap until they need to hand out quarterback money. It’s not our cash we save nothing advocating for cuts. Why create a possible hole over money? If he’s that bad or he’s not what they expected I expect they will cut him but for us as fans to clamor to get rid of a guy over money we aren’t paying doesn’t make sense to me. We had the same issue with shady. Washed up or not people wanted him gone cause of his salary. And now he’s gone. Washed up or not they definitely could of used him this season. Same risk next year. Sure let’s sign Hooper. Nothing wrong with that. Let’s say he blows a knee in preseason then we’re rolling with Knox and Sweeney and some guy let go at final cut downs. Just risky over money they don’t really need. If we’re cap strapped and need money for Hooper yeah cut the guy. I mean shoot we have what 25 million in star and Murphy and kroft?
  14. I wouldn’t think he’s on the hot seat at all. Dallas game he was near perfect but it’s not like Denver and Washington the offense was exactly on point. He’s been erratic his entire career and it should concern all of us some of his issues. Is he a leader of men? Yeah. Is he pretty clutch in the 4th? Yeah. Is the sky the limit? Sure is at this point. But I think there’s a little too much hype around here on his current state as a quarterback. I’ve referenced before but Allen’s good games we hype up is on par with Gardner Minshews good games and he has much less to work with on offense. Josh is making good strides for being “raw” but his bad is really really bad.
  15. I can see why they aired it, it was a helluva juke. Milano can make up for it come playoff time. Maybe strip sack fumble for TD? That works for me.
  16. Kinda tricky. Not sure how many examples there are of players in college who don’t catch any passes but have insane talent and start catching in the NFL. Knox is gonna be fine. More practice reps with Allen, hopefully in the offseason too and some time with the machines chucking him fastballs mid route and he’ll be ok. Guy has a lot to learn this season. Monster playbook plus audibles for pass routes and blocks, and learning to run routes. They didn’t use him in college his route tree was probably like 2 routes. “Hey kid run an out to the sideline but just try and get ready to block cause we’re not throwing it your way” We should be pretty thankful with Kroft hurt the first part of the season we got any production from him at all and he didn’t have huge costly turnovers or penalties. So much focus on what he does wrong everyone forgets how far he’s come in less than one full season.
  17. Why is Kroft so hated? How many balls did he drop? How many were thrown to him? Are we saying the one year he actually played and was involved in Cincinnati Dalton could find him open but in buffalo he’s covered every route? Could it not be Allen doesn’t look to throw his way? Like ever? Or that Daboll doesn’t want him open so it frees someone else up one on one? Can’t be any form of a weapon in the receiving game if there’s no targets. Is his blocking bad? The blocking part is serious on my end cause I honestly don’t pay attention to tight end blocks ever in a game. Just don’t get why there’s such a need to upgrade a position we’re not heavily using in the pass game. Knox will progress, we haven’t seen Sweeney in real games, how many balls are we throwing to tight ends next year we ain’t Baltimore here.
  18. Yeah and they ain’t dumb they let Baltimore have that game. Cheating or stealing signals or whatever don’t matter even if it’s all untrue they still gave Baltimore that game. They’re saving the real defense against them for the playoffs. They weren’t giving it away in a meaningless game
  19. Also, side note. Whoever linked that pats fans site IT IS HORRIBLE. Ads everywhere. I could not look at that all the time on here
  20. Both. Can’t take away what he’s done with some elite, and some mediocre rosters. And can’t take away all the scandals. Even if half are false, I’m sure there’s more that were never found out
  21. Also add in the headset turns off. If they get the play in late Taylor may be doing what Mcvay does and signaling plays or audibles in to the quarterback when the play clock is under 15 seconds. Mcvay helps Goff all the time after the mic turns off. Imagine a key 3rd down and 4 and the play clocks running down in one of those rushed situations in a two minute drill at the end of the half or game. If the pats can relay it fast enough the defense will know exactly what play is being ran. He’s getting as far away from this as possible as fast as possible. Love him or hate him the guy is incredibly smart. He’s already laid the ground work so this can’t touch him. If it goes down or turns out bad Kraft is getting crushed not BB.
  22. If I read things correctly the New England guys didn’t have a chance to do anything. Bengals media team caught them and didn’t say anything but contacted other bengal officials who then came in and took the footage. Then made a copy to send to the NFL. So the Bengals would have the original copy? That would also mean the NFL can’t try to hide or cover anything to save face cause whose to say the bengals don’t accidentally let the footage slip to the press.
  23. This does sound a little fishy, but on the surface it looks like a case of miscommunication or not enough communication. Timing is so weird though. Kansas City equipment guy apparently sent their stuff to the wrong place yesterday and they almost had to forfeit the game, he said it was his fault. I’m checking bank records on that man though if I’m KC hahahaha.. Now this coming out. Seems to be they haven’t done anything wrong but lots of times in these cases more information starts trickling down. On top of the fact the refs were “against” them last night so maybe they’ve already been punished unofficially
