  1. I was 9 years old last time the Bills won the AFC East Championship. This makes me think back to all the long, cold drives home from the stadium after another crushing loss, another season of no hope and of being an NFL afterthought. Another week 17 muttering "maybe next year". I never had any doubt, at any point in today's game, that the Bills were going to get the job done. This team is legitimately good. This quarterback is legitimately elite. This is all real, and it's just the beginning. I've ordered my hat and t-shirt, and now it's time for an adult beverage to celebrate. 😁 GO BILLS!!!!!!
  2. My feelings haven't changed on this one. All three major matchups -- Bills offense vs Broncos defense, Bills defense vs Broncos offense, and McDermott vs Fangio -- favor the Bills. I know, I know: any given Sunday, altitude, scrappy opponents that we can't overlook, blah, blah, blah...The Bills are a perfect 5-0 against top 10 pass defenses this year. You're telling me that THIS Broncos secondary is beating Josh Allen's Bills offense today?! Bills are raising the AFC East banner today. The wait is over.
  3. I haven't watched this one yet, but I wanted to point out they also did a Film Room segment specifically about Darryl Williams vs TJ Watt that was pretty neat. I rarely zero in on one offensive lineman throughout an entire broadcast, so seeing the Williams vs Watt matchup -- which was pivotal to the game's outcome -- in detail and with analysis was cool. I'll look forward to watching this one.
  4. I’ve bitched and complained at times about this show — the wooden dialogue, the lack of character development — but the finale was pretty f’n cool. I fanboy’d out pretty hard there at the end. Good stuff. Here’s hoping season three builds off this momentum.
  5. Curb Your Enthusiasm covered this ground in an episode once. **WARNING** NSFW work and discussion in this video!
  6. I wonder if it has to do with the likelihood that one or more offensive lineman may struggle with the altitude in Denver.
  7. The irony of this post is that the things you just described -- building a good and stable culture, applying consistently good coaching and teaching, identifying and coaching up a franchise QB -- ARE all elements of "the process" that you roll your eyes at.
  8. I hope the NFL actually goes through with this. It would be an awesome gesture of thanks.
  9. Woah. I'll take any advantage I can get. If the game is close, this might end up being a big deal.
  10. It really is. In addition to being an underrated part of the resurgence of our run defense, it will also be critically important to have a quality nickel corner against a team that lines Jerry Jeudy up in the slot and likes to throw deep.
  11. Awesome article. It seems like Buffalo was the perfect landing spot for Diggs in a many ways. My favorite part of the article was definitely his discussing his excitement about Allen to his brother: "He's real, bro....He's real!"
  12. Schobel, Mario, Meatball, Gilmore are all obvious choices. One that I haven't seen mentioned is Jairus Byrd. In his rookie season, he had NINE interceptions! Putting him at free safety and allowing Hyde to roam as the Buffalo Nickel/Robber would be awesome. Because we're already really good at safety, Byrd's addition wouldn't be as big of an overall upgrade to our defense as someone like Schobel or Gilmore. Still, adding a third playmaking/ball-hawking safety and thus allowing McDermott/Frazier to get creative would be fun to see.
  13. Well I certainly don't love the fact that Tremaine Edmunds was Limited two days in a row.
  14. Agree. They are sharp, and I kind of miss them. They're only allowed to have one throwback set, and they must have decided that they prefer the all-white throwbacks, which I can't argue against. They're beautiful. Would be cool if they alternated every other year, home and away throwback sets. Would give them more jersey selling opportunities, too, which is the ultimate point of all of this for the NFL.
  15. I like every combo we have EXCEPT the color rush jerseys. Rankings that nobody asked for: 1. All-white throwbacks 2. All-white away (preferably with white facemasks) 3. Blue top, white pants 4. All-blues (preferably with white facemasks) 5. White top, blue pants All that's left now is for the NFL to change the rule about throwback helmet colors so that we can pull out the 90s throwbacks twice a year! I prefer our current look, but seeing those 90s jerseys two times a year would be fun nostalgia.
  16. Yes, Drew. You've got the right idea. Definitely, absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, you should throw at Tre'Davious White.
  17. I'd say Nick Wright's "hate on the Bills" schtick is working to his advantage. Why do I say that? Because I -- and I would be willing to bet lots of other Bills fans -- had never heard of this dude prior to his Bills hot takes. In the line of business he's in, no publicity is bad publicity. One can make a pretty good living being a professional troll and agitator -- look no further than Skip Bayless and Steven A Smith.
  18. I am certain of only one thing: No matter how high Josh Allen is ranked, most Bills fans will still say it's not high enough.
  19. True, but as I said in the post, a lot has changed. Drew Lock is better than Brandon Allen. Their receiving corps improved quite a bit. Both the Bills and Broncos have changed quite a bit on offense and defense since last year.
  20. I wanted to look back at last year's Broncos-Bills game to get a feel for what this Saturday's game might look like. To be honest, though, everything is so different for both teams that it's hard to glean much from it. On the plus side for the Broncos, they have much more offensive firepower this time around, from their receiving corps to their starting quarterback. On the minus side for the Broncos, their secondary is ravaged by injury. Meanwhile, for the Bills: Well...this year's offense is QUITE a bit more productive than last year's offense. It added a true number 1 receiver, for one thing. More importantly, though, 2020 Josh Allen seems to be leaps and bounds better than 2019 Josh Allen. I'm not sure whether to expect an easy, high scoring win or a low scoring, defensive slugfest nail biter. Either way, I can't seem to convince myself that the outcome will be anything other than the Buffalo Bills raising their first AFC East banner in a quarter century.
  21. That "Action" character is just laughably wrong. I thought about registering for that forum to tell him WHY he's wrong, but it didn't seem worth the time or effort. His contention is that the Bills are winning solely because of "great team football" and Allen is nothing more than the product of that. Nevermind the first four weeks of the season -- all wins -- in which Allen was THE reason for team success. Nevermind the fact that we have a middling run game that doesn't scare anyone and an average offensive line. Nevermind the fact that for the first 7ish weeks of the season, our defense was playing below average football.... No no, all our success is due only to "good team football" and Allen is nothing more than a product of that. "Overhyped". 🙄 Their safeties, Simmons and Jackson, are very good. But yeah, the cornerback depth chart is pretty damned ugly.
  22. That game gave me serious "drought era Bills" trauma flashbacks. We have been on the wrong end of those types of games far too many times over the years. I can feel the Browns fans' anguish. That type of loss lingers for days, if not weeks.
