IIRC... late 1990s: 1. There was an acronym like SO (Subject Only) used in subject lines of empty posts. 2. Belinda asked what that meant, and she was kind of irritated about it 3. In response, frisky posters started using (Belinda) instead of (SO) 4. Belinda didn't like being made fun of and disappeared

Happy 28th Birthday to the Queen of Buffalo
boater replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in Off the Wall
Queen of Buffalo is an unearned title. She seems nice and all, but she has not demonstrated a bond with WNY yet. My fingers are crossed that she becomes all in. -
Josh Allen named Sports Illustrated "Player of the Year" for the NFL

Josh Allen... extend his contract again, now. Here's to hoping Hailee doesn't lure him out of town. That is a worry in the back of my mind. For your reference: "Josh Allen signed a $258M, six year extension with the Bills on August 6, 2021" -
For me it was Tremaine Edmunds and Tre'Davious White. It's the Tre in common. Both first rounders, selected in consecutive years.

It's looking like both Kincaid and Coleman will be out again today...

Troll level 8. The lack of subtlety keeps it from being a 10. -
Remember how doomsday some people around here were when we lost 2 in a row? They wanted to run McDermott out of town. They were mouthy then, but you don't hear much from them these days. They should come forward and own it.

I'm not going to poke fun at Tyrod for bad decisions concerning women. Many of us on this board have done the same--but just not to the scale of a professional athlete. Our failings are the same nature, just less spectacular.

Giants are releasing QB Daniel Jones (future backup to Josh Allen)
boater replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why would you post that? Bad juju. -
From Super Bowl appearance to one of the worst teams in football, in one season. That's an epic fall from grace.

Because you foresee a Lions--Bills Super Bowl....?

That thing is 55 years old? She looks 75.

I'm so old.........How old are you? I remember Terrel Bernard as a depth player, on a good day. There was no way he could replace Tremaine Edmunds. It is nice to be wrong, very wrong.

The Bills will be AFCE Division Champions. I thought a Division championship spot was > a wildcard spot. Why are we talking wildcards as a possibility. Am I wrong?

Google AI told me: "Military grade" is a marketing term used to describe a product that is durable, tough, and efficient, and is often associated with the United States military." I'd say that definition fits Josh Allen's passing game. I suspect that Josh was his usual self during McDermott and Beane's pre-draft interview, he probably knocked the ball out of the park. McDermott and Beane knew they had their man.

Cooper says he plans to play Sunday with a cast!

I was thinking the opposite. I expect him to want to get on the field and show some production to increase his worth for the next contract. Yes, his value is declining since he's not showing production. He needs to get on the field and make some catches. -
Week 11 - Chiefs at Bills Game Week Thread
boater replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh Allen is the best at providing the opposite of Bulletin Board material for the next opponent. He is always full of compliments--whether they deserve it or not. From the Mark Gaughan article on the TBD news page: “I think they do a great job of switching the looks that they’re giving,” Allen said Wednesday. “Obviously, we know about Chris Jones. He’s a game-wrecker, one of the best, if not the best, interior D-linemen in the game right now. You pair that up with some of their DBs and linebackers, they’re flying all over the field. They’ve got guys that are really gap sound in the run game as well. We’re going to have our hands full. This is a very good unit we’re going to face.”’ Heh. You can't blow air up their arse any better than that. -
I'm glad the Dolphins won. I want them to win out and not get high draft position. Same with the Jets. If you get mid-first round picks, you get locked into mediocrity. Make it so.

I remember the early years when Knox had the dropsies. Then one off-season he went to a "hands coach" and that turned him around.

You have different vehicles for different stages in life. I've had economy cars, muscle cars, old man sedans, family minivans, a Grand Wagoneer, a nice F-150, a nifty FJ Cruiser... even one of those Saturn's with the plastic body panels. Today as an almost-senior bachelor I have a compact SUV: Mazda CX-5. AWD was a must-have. It also has a mature and proven engine, Traditional transmission (not that CVT sh--), no turbo, and was built in Japan. You should have seen the Toyota Corolla I drove in Guam. It was in sh-- condition but just would not die. Nice ride. They don't make them anymore. They last forever--you'll be passing that on as part of your estate.

11/10/24 Game 10 GAMEDAY! Bills at Colts Post Game Thread
boater replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Twas an ugly win, but I'll take it. Not a bad performance when you factor in that both WR1 and WR3 were out. -
That describes the Bills from about 2000 to 2017. You get locked into a vicious cycle of mediocrity which is hard to break out of.

Week 10, Bills v. Colts, PREDICT THE SCORE!

I remember seeing the local band Pauline and the Perils at the Continental. The 80s were good times.

Towne Restaurant closed because the family was no longer interested in running it. Similarly, I wouldn't be surprised if no one wanted to step up and run Swannies. Owning a restaurant can be a real ball buster. We're running out of independent restaurants.
