Defeat Monday threads are absolute dreck.

The Superbowl prospects come down to the defense. More specifically, Bobby Babich. The 2024 Bills defense was not very good. Some of that was personnel, but not all of it. I believe coaching had a lot to do with the defense's mediocre performance. In particular, what's the deal with their horrid third down performance? We also see third down problem in the 2025 preseason. Sure, Beane made some big personnel moves to improve the D, but will Babich take full advantage of his new toys?

Will Josh Allen Play Tmrw vs Bears

Trubisky will start. McDermott will do that: 1) because Trubisky is going to be the backup, 2) a demonstration of gratitude/respect for Trubisky--letting him start in front of his former team/home crowd -
Tsk, tsk. There's no room for harsh reality here.

I can stop hitting F5.

Where is the Cook deal? I keep hitting F5 looking for the $11M and I'm not seeing it.

So it should be clear we won’t get there rushing 4

I'm afraid Babich is just an "OK" coordinator. Top-20 material. It's a situation where hiring from within wasn't the best option. -
60+ years and never a broken bone. <<knock on wood>> Not a single tattoo, which is a feat after 25 years of military service.

Heh. I haven't dialed up since 2000. Crazy that people still do.

Preseason Week 1 Giants at Bills - Game thread

Yes, some people here suffer what is known in psychology as Defeat Rage Disorder. Visit TSW after any defeat to see it in action. Individuals with conditions like ADHD, borderline personality disorder, or antisocial personality disorder may be more prone to Defeat Rage Disorder. -
I liked classical music.. once. I guess it was a phase. I used to listen to it when I was programming, it was conducive to that. They play classical music in outdoor spaces where they don't want homeless people congregating. It drives them away. My local mall did it.

We have not had a good Fire McD thread in quite a while. There is so much new information to mull over since the last one. /s

Yeah, Sophie is the enforcer for the team. She's a twig at 6'1" but only 165 pounds... but she has a Black Belt, so nobody has really tested her yet.

I got the hots for Sophie Cunningham. When she shows up on my Facebook reel, I click on it.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I appreciate it. I actually bookmarked for reference. I once had Paramount+ and have to say HBO looks better.

I Googled The Wire, thanks. It had some good reviews, I will check it out. I lived in the Baltimore area for four years, so it may stir memories.

Later in August when all the episodes are available, I am going to subscribe to HBO I will binge watch all of them Then I will cancel HBO For that short period of time that I have HBO, does anyone know of any good shows there that I should watch?

In three seasons, Cook has shown he is not in the $15 AAV club. Cook is not a workhorse. Cook doesn't do for the Bills what a $15+ AAV RB does for his team. For example, 2024: Cook 207 attempts 1009 yards Saquon Barkley 345 attempts 2005 ($20 AAV) Jonathan Taylor 303 attempts 1431 ($14) Alvin Kamara 228 attempts 950 ($12) Josh Jacobs 301 attempts 1329 ($12) Cook has the 2025 season to prove himself. If he produces in 2025--I say pay the man (next spring). But at this point he is producing like a $12 AAV player like Kamara or Jacobs. Asking for $15 now is a bit silly, people supporting the hold-in are a bit silly also.

Cook is almost dead to me. He can recover this week if he ends this ridiculous hold in business. I hoped Cook would piss and moan about his contract, but at the same time be a stand up guy and play balls to the wall in a contract year. It's to his long term benefit to do so. But this hold in business is just a hold out with lipstick on it. If the Bills allow it to continue it is a bad example for other players. Cook's hold in buffoonery is, as they say in the military, conduct prejudicial to good order and discipline (UCMJ Article 134): actions that undermine the effectiveness and morale of a military unit, often by violating established customs, rules, or standards of behavior. Cook should attend practice wearing the uniform of the day and doing drills on the field with his teammates. If he doesn't, he should be told to stay home. He's a distraction and bad example.

I use an Wahl electric hair trimmer like the barber has, with no length attachments. It leaves just a little bit of stubble, kind of like a 5 o'clock shadow. The bonus is that it leaves your skin completely alone, no razor burn whatsoever. Another bonus, you aren't buying new blades, screens, what ever. The trimmer lasts forever with no maintenance other than a drop of oil twice a year.

There goes the neighborhood. Disney/ESPN really suck. -
Beane is good at drafting after all -- A look at 2022
boater replied to boater's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm hopeful the 2023 class has a good season this year, hopefully three starters emerge. More likely we will get two starters and one reliable depth piece. I can live with that. I expect a good season from a Kincaid who has recovered from injuries. But I'm an optimistic homer, so there is that. I agree. I would grade a 2023 that yielded two starters as a B+ ..not spectacular, but would put the Bills at the 75 percentile of drafting. I think the gold standard of Front Office's is Baltimore. I thought it was all Ozzie Newsome's handiwork, but they continued excellence after he left.
