  1. This thread turned out well. I thought it was going to degrade into a "our coach is wasting the best QB of all-time" thread. There's a template for McD bashing somewhere around here--people use it all the time. But the thread turned into stopping and realizing how nice we have it as it is. Yeah, I want to complete the journey and win a Super Bowl. On the other hand, I'm enjoying the journey itself of winning seasons.
  2. Documents detailing Chinese government hacking were released to the public yesterday: https://news.yahoo.com/cache-leaked-chinese-hacking-documents-083355524.html Maybe this cellphone outage is the Chinese getting even.
  3. Another missile in the AFC arms race. NFC is nothing.
  4. I remember that I had a problematic laser printer at work at the time. Then this movie comes out with "PC load letter" ..I could relate.
  5. Your points are true. Hidden benefit--the Kincaid trade up really screwed the Cowboys who had eyes on him. There's bonus points for that.
  6. Heh. The high book value teams, the Cowboys and the Redskins, could be traded on the NASDAQ. Or at least the OTC market. And why is the book value of the Redskins so high. They have sucked for a couple of decades now.
  7. Trading up for Kincaid worked out well. Trading up one or two spots is OK, any more than that is unwise.
  8. In today's related news.... Caitlin Clark has it. She broke the NCAA point record yesterday. Her shot hit nothing but net.
  9. Marcus Welby MD. I'm old.
  10. Some posters will use any freaking occasion to beat their "Fire McDermott" drum. This thread is chock FULL of them. But there are other threads as well today. The Mahomes trope is years old, worn out, and unimaginative. It is wrong and BORING!!! This board.. sheesh.
  11. I always wanted the AFC to win, no matter who it was, for the past decades. But today, with some sadness, I'm cheering on the NFC. It's a bummer. But I dislike the Chiefs more than I dislike the NFC. Somewhere there is Jill's guy who says "Look what I have, and you don't"
  12. You can get more American if you sing Toby Kieth while looking at it. May he RIP. You correctly used chromostereopsis in a sentence. Do you hangout at AKG Gallery? You are TSW scholar of the day.
  13. You have all your brain cells working, good. Tip: if your Doc prescribes a statin drug for cholesterol--don't take it. Statin drugs bring brain fog. As a White Male Senior recently looking for a job, I can assure you age discrimination is rampant. I even made a resume without dates--it got nowhere. So here I sit, retired earlier than I want to be.
  14. I have an idea where Bass can go.... to a top flight Sports Psychologist.
  15. Ahhh... we're going to have a "Yute" movement.
  16. Heh. I have a 10 inch Ryobi miter that I'm about to put on Craig's List. I have no idea what to ask for it.
  17. Oooff... Whatever it is with Diggs, I hope it can be fixed. We're stuck with him, and a huge salary cap hit. I choose to be optimistic that this will work out for 2024. Beyond that... he will be pretty old.
  18. RIP fellas. I'm so glad I don't partake. The words "Hey Babe, you wanna do some lines, possibly laced with Fentanyl, then watch the game while stoned?" will never cross my lips. How can you appreciate the nuances of football while stoned or ripped-drunk? There's only 17+ games a year, I want to appreciate every play.
  19. Woulda, coulda, shoulda... If we're analyzing that way--imagine if Bass was his old reliable self and didn't shank kicks. Or imagine if receivers didn't have so many drops ...and the list goes on.
  20. Pittsburgh game = 0 interceptions. Chiefs game = 0 interceptions. Regular season = 18 interceptions over 17 games. Yeah, he had a bad day the first game of the season against the Jets with 3 interceptions. Don't let that bias your perception of the other games.
  21. The nostalgia for old Bills appears again. It's sway on the fan is powerful. It causes fans not to think critically. It has the kavorka. No one who has been HC twice is going to come back as a position coach--even as a favor. Besides, Josh is just fine. Strategy and play calling in the early season were the culprits of 6-6. McDermott andJoe Brady fixed that.
  22. Wide Receiver, I agree. And so does Mel Kiper. Though he picked someone else:
  23. I read a page or so of these comments. Oooo weee, some of them are out there on Planet Nine. Especially those from the always negative crowd. It's a good hire. There was nobody better out there.
  24. I will smile and calmly say "About time" I tend not to get overly dramatic.
