  1. I explored a Green Bay forum. They aren't worried about Rodgers leaving. They are saying he can go to the Jets and under-throw and over-throw receivers there. After reading their comments I am less concerned about Rodgers/Jets. Or Rodgers/Miami which is speculated by some.
  2. Guys, stop talking past each other when trying to compare state taxes. There's no need to have a mangled conversation because one is talking property tax while the other is talking income tax. Bright researchers have ironed it out by calculating the Total Tax Burden of a state that includes all the taxes. And guess who finishes the worse out of fifty states... New York! https://wallethub.com/edu/states-with-highest-lowest-tax-burden/20494 New York is #1 in total tax burden. Florida is number 45. Given Poyer's comments about taxes, and Tua Tagovailoa's birthday, and given what Rachel does with swim suits, I'd say he's gunning hard for Miami. I'd hate to face a motivated Poyer twice a year--even if he is geriatric.
  3. On the open market, DJ gets squat. Other GM's will look at him and realize his 2022 was all Daboll.
  4. I was military. You start planning for the next career 5 to 10 years out. Von planning for post-football just 2 years out is not alarming.
  5. Walter Reed Hospital (the old Bethesda Naval Medical Center) is very good. It's the flagship of military medicine. It's the President's hospital. Fetterman is going to get the best of care.
  6. When you account for total tax burden (Income Tax, Property Tax, Sales Tax, etc.) New York is the highest taxed state in the union. Yay, we're #1 in something. https://taxfoundation.org/tax-burden-by-state-2022/
  7. Sorry. I'm just loathe to start a new thread. New thread starters get BBQ'd here.
  8. Poyer is dead to me. I knew he was a competitor, but I never took him to be a vindictive prima-donna. https://heavy.com/sports/buffalo-bills/jordan-poyer-instagram-deleted-photos-free-agency/
  9. I see a lot of attacking the rich here. As if they were elevated scourge of the earth. The non-rich are equally degenerate. Their crimes are just smaller. Shoplifting for example.
  10. The Bills just posted these new renderings on FB a few minutes ago. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/stadium-news I apologize if this has already been reported. It's a handsome building.
  11. I'm not allowed to drink much when I watch the game--because I have to drive home. Life is good when you have a designated driver. I wish I did.
  12. Well, the wifey is a swimsuit model after all. There is that synchronicity.
  13. Reading all the negative tripe in this thread causes nausea. You wouldn't know the Bills finished 13-3. My God.. how spoiled these fans have become.
  14. Jones is rumored to be seeking $45 million per year. That is just plain old lunacy. https://www.audacy.com/wfan/sports/giants/daniel-jones-reportedly-seeking-usd45-million-per-year
  15. Brady had nice words for Josh Allen.. and the other QB's. Maybe he won't be so bad in the booth after all. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/other-sports/american-sports/nfl-brady-mahomes-allen-burrow-29245445
  16. She performed as a preggo actress on a sheet of plywood 100 feet of the ground. Ya'll just a bunch of angry men yelling at clouds.
  17. RIP Conrad. 72 is too young to pass.
  18. OL is highest priority. What good is a fancy WR if Josh doesn't have time to throw the ball.
  19. Yeah. Because holding accountable, and firing, a long string of head coaches, has worked so well for the Cleveland Browns. The Bills should follow suit.
  20. I wish I could share in your optimism. But 20 unrestricted free agents combined with our our unhealthy salary cap, it's going to take some miraculous front office management to keep from going backward.
  21. Poorly run charities are plentiful. That's why I liked contributing at the office as a federal employee. They had a database of charities, one of the fields was how much of donations covered operating costs (Administrative and Fundraising Expense Rate, AFR) ...instead of flowing to the actual charitable interest. Look up your own favorite charity (they aren't all there): https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/offerings I looked up a couple AFRs to see how much was spent on overhead: Sumaritan's Purse, a respectable 11.2% Hunters Hope, 18.5%, not bad for a boutique charity Red Cross, 9.2%
  22. Odds makers aren't predicting winners. They set the line to get equal numbers of people on both sides. The line is set as a function of popular sentiment, not who they think will win.
  23. I fondly remember when they were the Bullets. It fit the neighborhood.
  24. "no longer have 2 fifths but one fifth" ...my mind went immediately to liquor.
