By most fantasy sites, the Bills defense ranks in the middle of the 32 teams. Not good. Not bad. I'm afraid that won't be enough. Not enough for a deep playoff run, maybe not even to make it to the playoffs. I will be more optimistic if they hold the Cowboys down. PS: McDermott better hire a DC next year. Being DC waters down his attention span in other critical areas.

I don't have a bone to pick with Reid/Mahomes. I would have been satisfied with a lessor fine. I guess Reid get the extra- since he's in a leadership position.

The Dallas game will come down to Joe Brady's performance. He has 5 half's of really good play calling, followed by 1 half of Dorsey-esq performance. Did the Chiefs do something in the second half that Dallas will duplicate and shutdown the offense? Is there now enough tape on Brady that people can prepare for him? Joe: please be creative and unpredictable. PS: I love the new use of James Cook.

Josh Allen has said more than once that Mahomes is a quality person. I will give that endorsement more weight than Mahomes meltdown. I'm an old curmudgeon who doesn't like much of the new music--but I have to admit when the daughter plays Taylor Swift, I don't vomit. But I'm really sick of the Kelce/Swift coverage. The NFL is exploiting Swift because they lack young viewers. Singers should be heard, not seen.

If I recall correctly: the Bills cut Matt in late August. Being late in the preseason, there were very few punters left on the market. Hence, the desperate Bills ended up with the unwanted Sam Martin. No good deed (cutting Araiza) goes unpunished (signing Martin). The Bills need to find a new punter. I would support them bringing in Araiza given the facts that have emerged from the alleged incident. I know that will never happen.

So I wonder...how does Dunne feel about the KC victory? On one hand, I've heard he is supposedly a Bills fan. In which case he should feel pretty good. On the other hand, the Bills won despite Dunne's hatchet job. The McDermott expose proved to be a non-factor to the players. The four year old 9/11 quote and other interview gotchas didn't sway the needle. Even the resulting Saturday Night Live hit on McDermott was met with meh response. (that show has sucked for decades--since Farley and Spade left) Dunne.. I wonder how many new subscribers he got.

I hate to break it to you: the Bills roster is not very good. The preseason talking heads unrealistic praise for the Bills didn't do fans any favors.

Beat the Bruins at their home, then lose at home to the .500-ish Canadiens. This team is wildly inconsistent game to game. You never know which Sabres you're going to get. That inconsistency indicates a coaching problem. It's Granato's job to prepare the team and press whatever buttons are needed to get them on the ice ready to play. He's not fulfilling the basics of his job description.
