  1. Well even in the draft he was "overpaying." 4th round QB prospect drafted 18th overall. Trading away future picks for a wide receiver in an absolutely loaded class. I feel like his big board and free agent list consisted of a total of about 10 names and he pursued those 10 names at all costs.
  2. I'd get rid of Benjamin for Gentry. Hell, I'd just get rid of Benjamin.
  3. Whaley was good at identifying talent and GREAT at paying way too !@#$ing much for it. There are a bunch of Whaley's picks still playing in the NFL. But he wasn't a team builder, he was a scout. He didn't have a plan, he kind of just threw **** at a wall every year and hoped it stuck. That's why he failed.
  4. I'm not ready to crown him. I like Allen alot, but one good game and one so so game... I'd still love to see him improve his ball security. The pick while carrying around the Chargers DE last week, a ridiculous fumble where he held the ball up in the air this week. He's a rookie so I'm cautiously optimistic that he will indeed eliminate these things from his game. His mental toughness and his resiliency give me tons of hope. He looked much more comfortable this week in the pocket, looked to be making his reads much quicker. If he can continue to do what he did today week after week the Bills have a bright future ahead of them.
  5. We got the #RightJosh
  6. Kid has guts. Love it. Imagine if we started him at the Ravens. Maybe we'd have seen some of this last week against the Chargers.
  7. I dunno what was up with his conservative play calling the first few weeks but obviously McDermott taking over his play calling duties lit a fire under his ass.
  8. Screen name checks out. Put the bong down and slowly back away.
  9. As long as Edmunds and Allen show improvement week to week, I'm fine. They are the cornerstones of the rebuild.
  10. Never said you didn't. I'm just saying that your grades of Groy and Miller are generous, considering Groy probably isn't starting this week. I doubt McDermott has a B grade on him. And I've seen Miller literally laying on his back in the backfield more than once. Sufficient time for the QB and blocking well are two different things. The cut block scheme is probably a result of these guys just being weak at the point of attack.
  11. When you have RBs and TEs not pulling their weight in pass protection, it does make the line look worse. The run blocking scheme they are attempting to use is atrocious. That also makes the line look bad. And while these grades are nice and all, Miller and Groy are consistently man handled at the point of attack. Passing lanes/line of sight are a mess and they typically seem to be JUST barely blocking people. A good illustration is the first picture of Miller totally out of sorts and the third image down Groy frantically looking side to side and then just getting enough of the rusher to call it a block. OP is real generous with his grades, must be some common core sliding scale thing.
  12. As if the rest of them aren't struggling to execute their assignments...
  13. With the space we will have under the cap, you don't trade that pick. In regards to the choices, I'm good with either one if we're in the position to choose.
  14. You should worry, but only about your serious gambling addiction. 1-877-8-HOPENY 1-877-846-7369
  15. Just remember, he's here because our previous "crappy, medicore, etc" receivers were holding Tyrod back from being great. Should've paid Woods, he is more about the process than any of these clowns playing right now.
  16. Ah, I see now. Read it too fast.
  17. North is Steelers/Ravens/Bengals...
  18. I never would've thought. He was impressive in college and had a couple good seasons with the Panthers. Now I think we are seeing why they were a willing trade partner. His attitude and effort are abysmal.
  19. Kid has a long way to go. I don't really care for the coaching staff telling him to tone down some of those throws, I think that's a big part of his inaccuracy, at least in that game, he's thinking about how hard he should throw it. Fire that **** in there, these receivers need to catch it. I also loved the "if we had one more block, Ivory scores" as Benjamin gives the most pathetic attempt to block I've ever seen.
  20. Where are all the posters here that claimed Wood was over rated? Whoops.
  21. But we got rid of those guys because they were holding back the most elite QB in the league, Tyrod Taylor.
  22. Lots of casual fans that don't actually watch the games. A box score, couple news articles, they get the gist.
  23. I'm not buying that evaluation at all. I can recall Miller on his back more than once in the backfield.
  24. Nearly 300 yards in total offense for his first game. Put points on the board. You can dissect every single play and find something wrong I'm sure. You can do it for every first start of every QB's career. It's tough to take someone serious who is looking for EVERY negative they can find. This certainly wasn't an unbiased look at how Josh performed. It's going to be a tough road for him, for sure. But trying to bury the kid after one game is ridiculous.
