  1. I think we win. Allen is a competitor and I think he's hungry after sitting around for more than a month.
  2. Can we mix and match? I'd like to see red jersey/blue pants combo.
  3. Colt could be the next Keenum. Or the whole team could flop. Sucks for Smith, I don't think you'll see him play again. He's old enough that he might just call it a day. Hard to come back from something like that mentally.
  4. Wow. You are dense. Numbers wise, he's the GOAT. There really is no argument or discussion to be made. Trying to say he couldn't play in a different era is what's irrelevant. He didn't time travel to play in this era of football.
  5. So let me just get this straight. We drafted the QB with the least amount of Division 1 snaps. We then gave him only a third of the reps in the offseason. And now he's missed 5 weeks of reps due to injury. And you want to limit his reps if he struggles? Buffalo really is where QBs go to die. Sorry Josh.
  6. But he isn't playing those teams, against the current teams he has been to the Super Bowl 8 times. That's E-I-G-H-T times. There isn't any QB from any era that accomplished that. You could argue in terms of legacy that Bradshaw and Montana still one up him for never losing a Super Bowl and doing it in the era of football that you prefer. But you may never see what he's accomplished again. And I feel like this would be less of a discussion if it was Brees or Manning with all the rings. People that are universally liked and not on the Patriots.
  7. He's almost lost as many Super Bowls as Kelly and won more than any other QB. Even his negatives put him in the company of the best to ever play. As sickening as that is.
  8. Barkley entered the Jets game with the second worst career interception ratio. Only behind Peterman. It was a great win but Allen starts. I'm sure having Daboll on the sidelines now and two actual QBs in the room during the week has helped him a lot. Gotta give him a chance to go out there and show it. If he completely falters you might see Barkley again but as it stands this year is building towards the next. Barkley is not the future. I thought you guys wanted to draft a QB? I guess you also expected him to be the best QB in the league as soon as he stepped on the field.
  9. This is great and all, but why isn't Popeye Biscuit Benjamin cut along with him? He should've been cut the moment he stood there and watched the ball hit the ground instead of trying for it.
  10. Chiefs. They play in the toughest division of the 3. But we're really splitting hairs here, all 3 will most likely be in the conference championship game. Question is really, who's the 4th best team?
  11. And only weighs about 10 pounds more.
  12. No. And Wallace was only so so. Thought Lewis was playing well before his sudden demotion. Like to see him worked back into the lineup.
  13. You can't build a winning culture without the wins.
  14. They may be looking for a body, but not a disgusting fat body like Benjamin.
  15. If we were in a playoff race I might agree but at 3-7 the only thing to play for is the future.
  16. Uh... wat? Dude was drafted in 2013...
  17. I'd keep Barkley in a backup role no doubt. But Allen needs to play. Peterman can finally be cut and probably Anderson as well.
  18. We're all sitting on our respective couches.
  19. Out of football for 2 years. 18 picks and 7 fumbles in 11 games (6 starts). We just might have a competitor for Nate.
  20. Beane: There is no tank. McDemott: We're starting Matt Barkley.
  21. I say we sign Tebow and go to the playoffs.
  22. The fact that people are still willing to defend Peterman says it all about this board. A lot of people talk about the worst QB in league history, Peterman has the stats to put him in that argument, and at a time when offense dominates the league. It's pathetic. Mullins in San Fran stepped in and played. Peterman stepped in and failed. And while the jury is out on Allen because of the elbow, these games after the bye he needs to show some signs of life. Otherwise there might need to be another draft pick spent, another veteran signed. Shame too, the defense is great this year. With even a half way competent offense we'd be talking about playoffs again.
  23. I think we should just sign and start a different QB every week from here on out. It's almost entertaining.
  24. That's because owners, like Pegula, are providing a source of entertainment for the people watching. Fans are acutely aware that most players are playing for money and have no loyalty to the team. They however, do have said loyalty and will continue to have said loyalty long after the player leaves or retires. I also think you are painting with an extremely broad brush and siding with the owners is more like siding with keeping football around as opposed to not having football. The millionaire employees are just that, millionaire employees playing a game. I think most people would kill to be able to play football and make millions doing it. They are choosing to play. They should understand the risk associated with playing before signing up. After all they've probably been playing their whole life. I'll tear my ACL right now for 6 million dollars. The players are more than compensated for the "risk" they are taking. The truth is most trade workers face entirely more risk everyday and get compensated far less.
