Lets give some credit to THE O LINE
Luka replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about some draft picks? You don't need to draft one #1 to get a good one. How about undrafted free agents? I just think that whoever is evaluating the line is blind, deaf and dumb. Call up Buddy Nix, if there is one thing the man could do, it was scout offensive lineman. -
Lets give some credit to THE O LINE

It shocks me that with all the moves this front office has made so far that they didn't even attempt to address the O-Line. -

Cover 1: Bills' Run Defense Continues to Struggle
Luka replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't really remember but I do remember getting our asses handed to us a good portion of the season in the run game. The highlight being 298 yards given up against New Orleans. -
The bigger question is, if Allen starts, where will you be? Bet you won't be admitting you were wrong either. The facts on Peterman. Sub 50% completion percentage. 3-1 INT to TD ratio. And that's in the NFL. That isn't college stats. He looked good in preseason last year too. So much so that they benched Tyrod for him to start against the Chargers. This is the same old song and dance as last year. He threw a pick in the Carolina game, almost a pick six in the Cleveland game. That's a pattern.
-
Definitely Peterman. He relies on quick drops and hot reads. He's very much like Fitzpatrick in that sense. His arm strength is mediocre. If his read is wrong it's a pick. He really struggles off his spot, something that Allen seems unfazed by. So as a DB, it almost becomes like a snap count type of thing. You know the ball is coming out quick, you know it's going to be a short to intermediate throw. If you anticipate the route, it's at least a defended pass, if not an interception. I've seen a few times now, Peterman trusting his arm on those tight window throws. That's a very bad thing. He is physically incapable of making those types of throws. With Allen, as a DB, he's scary. He shakes off the rush. He moves in the pocket, extends plays. And he has the arm to literally put the ball anywhere he wants. Both of his touchdowns were throws that you will never, ever see a guy like Peterman make. That's just the bottom line. He's also a much better runner than Peterman, so once he gets those DBs respecting his ability as a passer, he will have tons of running lanes as well and has the speed and physicality to take advantage of them.

Cover 1: Bills' Run Defense Continues to Struggle
Luka replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tremaine was criticized for his tendency to lean into play, attempting to anticipate the snap count. Looks like he's still doing it. With his athletic ability it's completely unnecessary. That's what makes him so intriguing as a prospect. If he can just pause and diagnose a play, he still has the lateral speed to make the play. He displayed that a few times against Cleveland. -
Peterman's NFL stats consist of a sub 50% completion and a 3-1 interception to touchdown ratio. He's thrown as many touchdowns to his own players as he has to the opposing team. He looked good last year in preseason as well. The difference between him and Allen is I see Allen creating plays. I just don't see it from Peterman. He also nearly threw yet another pick six in the Cleveland game and he's unable to create once the pocket breaks down. And judging from the starting offensive line so far, that's going to be an absolute deal breaker this year.

Brian Baldinger great analysis of Allen's footwork and the Oline
Luka replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Including last night. ? But seriously, how is Mills still employed? He looked like that the entire game against San Diego last year. I thought he did it on purpose because of Tyrod, but now I see he is just complete garbage. -
Please name Josh Allen the starter
Luka replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because everyone on defense knows where Peterman is going with the football. With Allen, as a DB you have to respect every route, the moment you jump a route he is going to make you pay. Look at the TD in the Carolina game. Little pump fake, corner jumps, ball goes behind him for the TD. Yea Dabol might be one of the biggest offseason hires in the history of the franchise. -

Aside from the QB battle going on, which is now 1 man down. I think the question the staff has to ask themselves is, will Allen represent an improvement at the QB position over last year? If the answer is yes, then you start him. I've seen posts that say he should be third string while he develops. Guess what, third stringers don't get reps, they get clipboards. I've seen posts that say Peterman should start while Josh is 2nd string and develops. Guess what, backups don't even get a third of the reps in practice during the regular season. Peterman's arm hasn't gotten any stronger, his pocket presence hasn't improved. Dabol obviously recognizes these shortcomings, his play calling has consisted mainly of quick throws and 3 step drops. Peterman's another Fitzpatrick at best. -
Jalen Ramsey trash talking a lot of QB's
Luka replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jalen Ramsey also thinks Colin Kapernick is a top 10 QB... it's called being a racist. He hates white QBs and gives black QBs respect. -
Chad Kelly looked great last night.

He needs a lot of work on his footwork. His throwing motion is all upper body. -
Cover1 breaks down Allen's last drive against the Panthers
Luka replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Accuracy is not equal to completion percentage. Amazing that it even has to be said after watching Tyrod for 3 years. He deliberately placed that touchdown pass. It wasn't a mistake. He pump faked to pull the corner and threw a laser. But he saw Prohel as well, or at the very least, his coaches already had said hey, you had Prohel for an easy one over the middle. His completion percentage isn't high because he is taking shots. How many passes traveled less than 12-15 yards downfield? Not that many. Maybe none. That's the part of him that McDermott and Dabol probably want to tame ever so slightly. It's situational football. If it's 3rd and 3 we are going to need him to take the 5 yard out if it's open. There comes a time in every game when you need that big play and what's exciting to I think most fans, is that he looks more than capable of delivering. Something we haven't seen since Kelly. -

He gives you goosebumps sometimes, with the way that ball leaves his hand. That TD I mean he absolutely rifled that ball. Crazy. I'd love to see him with a clean pocket. People are really overlooking his pocket presence. He's got guys tipping the ball out of his hand, guys all over his feet, in his face. Still making plays downfield. -
Question: Can passing accuracy issues be fixed?
Luka replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do people talk about Allen's accuracy still? He looked on the money for the most part. Foster screwed him a couple times, not finishing routes. Prohel and Ray Ray dropped a pass. And he was under a lot more pressure than Peterman or McCarron. Once he gets some protection and gets comfortable with checking the ball down once in awhile, his completion percentage will go up. Because that's what we're actually talking about, his completion percentage. His in game ball placement is just fine. -
I feel like you are overly emotional. I'm not hating on the guy at all, he obviously played great. I'm just not ready to anoint him football Jesus in a league with guys like Brady, Rodgers, Rothelisberger, etc.

Helped themselves/Hurt themselves Preseason Game 1
Luka replied to folz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well too be fair, Foster was playing the 3s, I'd hope he'd be able to blow by a 4th string DB. I don't think he has the same luck if he plays the first half. -
4 games, 7 games. Still wasn't a whole season with defenses game planning against him. I've seen his story one too many times to immediately jump to conclusions. Great example. Now he's battling for a backup spot after being out of football for a year.
