Russ Brandon/Josh Allen Controversy Timing
Luka replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Josh Allen thing is a nothing burger, while the Brandon thing is probably pretty serious. The guy has been an inept leech on this organization for two decades so if absolute incompetence and failure doesn't get you **** canned, must be a pretty serious situation for you to be forced to step down. -
Bills UDFA signings & Rookie minicamp invitees

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were so dense to think that my statement somehow inferred that they are ONLY getting guys from small schools. -
Mel Kiper Draft grades:. Bills only team with an A.
Luka replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Bills made big moves to address the two biggest positions on the field. Strategically, they were more than successful. But a draft is only as good as the results on the field. -

McDermott and Beane are all about the small school guys it seems. Need some hunger in that locker room. -
RD 5, Pick 154: Siran Neal S - Jacksonville state

He's a safety. Or will be. Plays the run, plays physical. Even played some linebacker. -
Jordan sees what I see in Allen. Yes, he can be very erratic. Yes he can be inaccurate. But at 22, is he broken or just inexperienced? With football being the only thing in his life now, I feel like the work that he puts in will greatly effect his accuracy. What I see on his poor throws, is someone who gets away from his mechanics. The problem with having a big arm is that you can throw off balance, you can throw from awkward platforms, but you shouldn't. Yes, sometimes you absolutely have too but there are plenty of his throws where if he's slightly more patient and he keeps his mechanics sound, the throws don't get away from him. Maybe he isn't fixable, maybe he isn't coachable, or maybe he hasn't received the coaching he needs to be successful. We will certainly find out.

I love it, I hope it motivates Josh even more. We need him to be great.

Wasn't there a screen shot of a tweet of him also saying he loves penis? If he had a long history of KKK tweets and propaganda, Confederate flags on his truck, swastikas tattooed on his forehead, then I'd buy all this racist crap. But one tweet? And it was clearly a quote from a show? Get over yourselves.

Interesting Take From QB Guru on Allen
Luka replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like that it's 2018 and people are still using the term "tape." Half of you have probably never watched anything on tape. -
Do you even prank, BRO?!?! God you're an idiot.
-
He goes down this route and he'll fail. Keeping a list means he puts way too much thought into it. And it's easy to do in college where you're successful and everybody at school loves you, the list is probably short. Wait until he goes to a struggling NFL team and is expected to make magic happen and he doesn't the first year or maybe even the second year. Then what?
-
With even slightly competent QB play last year we were a 10 or 11 win team.
-
We made the playoffs with guys like Tyrod, Joe Webb and Peterman playing QB so I would have to say yea, we're still a playoff team with AJ.
-
I didn't vote in your poll because the trade up option you wrote out makes you sound like a biased ass hat. Both firsts this year, a 3rd this year and next year's first. Hardly giving up two drafts and possibly cementing the one position we've needed to fill since Kelly retired 20 something years ago.

McDermott: NFL is a “drop-back league”
Luka replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder if he means a guy that comes from under center or a guy that can make plays from the pocket. I can't imagine formation is really all that important, just that the guy they pick can make plays from the pocket without having to run in circles every pass play before throwing a hideously inaccurate ball. -
No saying that means I am applying logic to the situation. You listed a group of players, how on Earth do you know that's who Beane would draft to being with? Your entire premise is a joke. We've sat around and let QBs fall to us. That's how you end up with the Manuels and the Losmans and the Edwards of the world. And we've been down the former backup road with the Holcombs and the Johnsons and the Fitzpatricks. I have plenty of faith and Beane, that's why now more than ever we should move up.

You are simply pretending you can see the future. You can't. You don't know that a rookie doesn't beat out McCarron. McCarron could be terrible. All 6 picks you draft instead of trading up for a top QB could be out of the league in 3 years. I doubt McCarron beats out Mayfield, Darnold or Rosen. But finding a QB is top priority and you aren't doing that at 12.

Biggest need being a QB. With a real QB we don't back into the playoffs because we would have beat the Panthers. And we could have easily beat the Jags in the first round with a couple extra completions. The rest of the roster was patchwork and we were right there. Last year we were supposed to tank so I'm not buying the 5-6 holes crap.
