  1. It’s Buffalo! The city of Second Chances! We LOVE when guys come back (see Phillips, Lawson, Brown) especially if they have a little something left in the tank. Idk if Cole does but doesn’t hurt to take a look. Putting the BAND back together! I love this move if it happens. Not because I think we’d get 2020 Cole back, we just need SOMEONE who can catch the ball 4-5 yards down the field and fall down. It’s a devastating indictment on how poor our WR room has developed but I like that McBean are kicking all the tires to do what they can. If Cole comes back he will be embraced by most of the fans. I’m sure those with sand still in their vagines about his tweets will be bent out of shape but maybe their tune will change when he catches a couple of first downs that McDropsie would let bounce off his hands again.
  2. Marino has the best pod out there in my opinion. I like the regimented format because he does his homework and backs up his opinions with a lot of good statistical info so I know what I’ll be getting. I find his takes reasonable and well thought out and maybe I like listening because I tend to agree with a lot of it. The crossover pods used to be great but they have kind of sucked lately, and Joe has this tendency to sound like a cheerleader for the opposing team. Think Belichik during the SB years when he’d be asked about playing our garbage Buffalo teams. He’d make us sound like world beaters and like the Pats* would be lucky to win. That’s kinda what Joe has developed into this season. Anyway, it’s a great pod, its only 30 minutes so fits right into my drive to work. Lots of good info, and there’s even a comedy segment once a week where he brings on “Doctor” Kyle Trimble to give his mostly wrong predictions on the injury front. “Ahh, I couldn’t really see the injury, might have happened in the second quarter, looks like an ankle or a gunshot wound to the thigh, might be day to day or the funeral is next week, let’s see if he practices”. Thanks doc
  3. Can someone tell me what our offensive identity is, because I have no clue. I rarely see any rhythm or flow to the offense. I think Dorsey just puts a 70/30 mix of random pass/run plays and formations in a hat and pulls one each play. He cheats a little though because he’s got a larger chip which says “Fk it, spread everyone out and let Josh figure it out” and he pulls that one out when he gets nervous. Seriously though, idk what this team does well except “Diggs get open” and Singletary running between the tackles every now and then. Despite this, our O is ranked pretty high and we are capable of putting up points. Which leads me to believe that Josh being Josh is responsible for the majority of our offensive success. We have to do a better job scheming guys open for easy gimme throws especially early in the game to get Josh in rhythm. I’d also call an early Josh power run so he can hit someone. We’ve all seen it, as soon as Josh does one of those runs he settles down and starts making plays.
  4. Who cares about the MVP? The only trophy that matters is the Super Bowl We are on to Miami
  5. Dorsey was hand picked by Josh, he’s not going anywhere. What he needs to do is develop a more consistent gameplan that attacks a defenses weaknesses instead of resorting to the “make it happen Josh” offense we tend to see a lot of. He finally did this with NE and I thought maybe he turned the corner. Then we come back to to Jets and he reverted back to the vanilla offense. Limited motion, abandoning the run, not attacking the middle of the field (Jet’s weakness). I’m Joe Average Couch Fan. I was probably close to around 50% at predicting the exact offensive play call just by looking at the formation and knowing their tendencies. If I can do that and I don’t know jack, then the defenses have got to be clued in big time to what is coming. That doesn’t mean the D will stop every play since we do have a talented roster, but go ask Tom Brady how much easier it is to execute when you know what the opposing team is doing.
  6. It’s a combination of Dorsey still learning on the job and not having any elite weapons other than Diggs. After the NE game I thought he had see the light. Multiple formations, motion, running the ball and actually attacking a defenses weaknesses. This gameplan didn’t attack the Jet’s weaknesses which were the middle of the field and their LBs in coverage. It worked, but it worked because our D played lights out and Allen did Allen things without turning the ball over. Look at a play caller like Reid - he schemes open players who aren’t any more skilled than our guys on the regular. Dorsey doesn’t do that yet consistently. He’s got 4 more games to improve before the stakes get real high.
  7. SOMEONE CHECK ON FILTHY BEAST!
  8. What are you smoking? This D-line has been better the last 2 weeks than when Von was playing
  9. This was a hard fought, gritty, tough win against a Divisional opponent. I don’t care how it gets done, we got the needed W. That being said, my Dorsey-meter is shifting more negative after that horrendous game plan a week after I thought he called his best game of the season against New England. How TF does he not have a plan to exploit those LBs in coverage? It took him 2 quarters to make any type of adjustment and start throwing over the middle. That should have happened after the first 3 and out. D-line has been playing lights out since Von went down. Interesting. McKenzie should have all his touches given to Shakir except for a few gadget plays. He can’t catch the easy ones and isn’t dependable. He’s not going to cut it in the playoffs. Knox finally gets a few touches. How he has not been more involved in the game plans is beyond me. Figure it out Dorsey. Allen is a warrior. Even when he’s not “On” he makes things happen. He keeps bailing out Dorsey on his raw ability. Why does it seem so many other teams have easy throws schemed wide open for receivers but Josh is almost always throwing into tight windows. Pisses me off Again, great W. Gotta win these, it sharpens us for the playoffs. I’d like more help from the OC though.
  10. WE ARE DOOMED!!! My god the bellyaching here is getting to epic proportions. Yeah, it would be nice of Elam developed as quickly as White did. We knew he’d take some time to develop zone skills. They picked him because he has a high ceiling and has the drive and intelligence to work to get there (like Josh, like Edmunds, etc). Like the rest of you, I have no idea why McD benched him for a game. I’ll be concerned if he get benched again tomorrow. My GUESS is that it’s a combo of zone heavy scheme, rookie wall management, more rest for the ankle injury, maybe a little kick in the azz that we know McD likes to do from time to time (McKenzie was benched, Cook got benched early, etc).
  11. If it’s the real flu, all these guys will be hurting substantially on Sunday if they play at all. If it’s the “I have a bad cold but I’m going to call it the Flu” Flu, they will be in much better shape
  12. Imaging is only as good as the actual cuts and whoever is reading the film. Appendix don’t burst, they don’t pop like a ballon. If the infection is contained within the appendix it’s a same-day operation and you can go home that day. If the infection spreads through the wall of the appendix and into the abdominal cavity it’s called a ruptured appendix but it’s not like a bomb went off in your abdomen and blew appendix parts all over. If the infection gets to the abdomen it can get real bad, so you need to be on IV antibiotics for a couple days. In your case, your rupture was probably caught early (happens often) and didn’t have enough time to inflame the surrounding tissue and show up on the CT. They probably saw a little puss leaking when they visualized your appendix. Von’s injury wasn’t a complete tear so didn’t show up on MRI well. When they got in there and tugged on it, it probably looked like a skinny wet noodle and was very loose.
  13. I noticed this too. What did the Bengals do schematically to take Kelce away so effectively? I’m not a film dude I’m a watch TV from my couch dude
  14. Just thinking of this year, his season was over even if he didn’t tear the ACL. I posted when they put him on IR that he was going to get scoped to see how bad that meniscus tear was. If it just needed to be trimmed he could have been back for the playoffs. We know from the report that the lateral meniscus “moved” and needed to be put back. That’s BS. You don’t just push it back into place. It’s either shaved smooth or repaired. We now know Von had a large tear in the lateral meniscus and wasn’t going to be back for the playoffs anyway. If you repair the meniscus (which I bet they did since he was going to be non weight bearing from the ACL repair anyway) it’s 4-6 weeks non weight bearing before you even begin the rehab. His season was over, the MRI just gave us false hope. None of this make anything any better, just giving you guys a little insight. BTW you can’t just tighten up an ACL in a pro athlete. He got a new (probably cadaver) graft so he’s on the normal post-ACL rehab cycle which means most of next season if this isn’t a career ender.
  15. Yes Beck, we all get it. Your sphincter got real tight when Josh jumped in the air. You’d prefer he didn’t do it. Got it. Every year Josh says about some run he makes “Gotta be a little smarter” and guess what, the next year he leaps for a first down, doesn’t get hurt despite your frame by frame analysis. As I said, as time goes on and he matures I think we will see less and less of that. But for now, gotta take the good with the scary. Personally I’d rather he lowered a shoulder in that situation or even slid, but that’s not how Josh is. Hopefully he’ll get smarter about when he takes the risks as he gains experience, but he’s always going to take them.
  16. Josh said it himself, he’s a football player. He always plays better after he get that first hit, you can see it easily. Josh dishes out more punishment on his runs than he takes. It’s been 5 years now, he hasn’t gotten hurt on a run. His injuries to his elbow were both in the pocket. Lamar got hurt running from the pocket. This part of his game is integral to who he is as a QB right now and we don’t want to change that. As he matures I bet you’ll see fewer scrambles because he has the head for the game already has been successful throwing from the pocket. When you have a horse, you have to let him run
  17. Highest wining percentage in franchise history. Anyone calling for a change at HC (and there are a bunch in this board) should be laughed at and ridiculed
  18. Last couple games it finally seems like the refs are calling PI/Holding on Sauce Gardner. I’ve never seen a rookie get so much preferential treatment from the refs. This guy physically assaults receivers on the regular and has been getting away with it from the beginning. In the last couple games it seems like they’ve been flagging him and Lo and Behold! , he starts giving up catches. Funny how that works. WIll be interesting to see if the trend continues.
  19. Only way he signs here is if Beane thinks he can contribute for the playoffs this year and he comes on a team friendly deal
  20. Banged up has really crapped the bed a lot this season. I know he’s trying to make a name like Chao is but man has he been OFF. He completely misread and boggled the Josh Allen situation so now he’s trying to cover all possibilities i.e. Phillips “I didn’t really see exactly where the injury occurred, but I’ll speculate that he could be dead, might have a rotator cuff injury, or maybe a mild sprain and the shoulder harness is just playing it safe. He might be back next week, or his season could be over. We will see if he practices” Thanks “Doc”. He’s best when he describes an injury after it’s been revealed what the injury really is since his experience is as a physical therapist even though he calls himself “Doctor”. Yeah yeah I know he has a PhD but so does Jill Biden.
  21. Gabe will be fine he just needs to hit the juggs machine a bit more. If he just caught the passes that hit him in the hands we wouldn’t be having this conversation. His drops are an issue but he can overcome it.
  22. He’s only 19, he still has a lot of room to grow! McBean love them some Edmunds. I’ve been saying it for years, he will get extended at a much higher AAV than many posters think. The good news is, we will have years more of Edmunds as a whipping boy and we can enjoy these threads after every game when he’s making 18 mil a year!
  23. Fock the Pats* and their entire bandwagon jackoff fanbase including every Boston media personality/ex player on TV/ and especially NFL Player of the Week ESPN “HITS” stat dominator Teddy Douchski. I live in NE, there has been ZERO Pats talk the last few years. Biggest bandwagon fans in history. Remember, they were almost the Hartford Patriots before Brady came along, that’s how little this fanbase supports their franchise. There are a few intelligent die hards who know who Steve Grogan was, I’ll admit, and I can have an actual football conversation with them. But the majority of them and especially the ex-players are garbage. The only thing better than a Bills win is a Pats* loss. Maybe after 15 more year of Bills domination I’ll ease off but until then I’ll delight in every loss, every Belichek screw up (and I have a lot of respect for The Hoodie’s coaching acumen, the cheating not so much). I hope Mac RAAG AHHM Jones is their QB for years to come. I LOVE that they are going to be near .500 for the foreseeable future because they will never improve and GM Bill will pick a small school long snapper with his first round pick anyway. I love watching/listening to homer announcers like Zolack be slowly, excruciatingly dragged in to the realization that their franchise is becoming garbage and they are looking at a decade or more of irrelevancy. Love it!
  24. I called out Dorsey a lot the last couple weeks. He really stepped up. Motion, formations, personnel, play calling all were in sync and effective. Josh looks like Josh again Cook is starting to take over Defense got a lot of pressure with 4 even without Von Quesenberry may suck at pass blocking but he’s a warrior and I respect him
  25. He’s going to get a scope and get that meniscus trimmed He can come back in 4 weeks from that with a clean knee for the playoffs
