  1. That’s because they were. Duh
  2. KC isnt’ over rated. Opponents usually need to play a mistake free game to have a chance to beat them. Like us, they can make mistakes and recover
  3. Do people understand getting the first down meant NOTHING. All that was required was not to score. It’s pretty revealing that a number of posters have a lack of understanding of situational football. Personally, I wouldn’t have even run Motor. I would have kneeled twice to make them spend a TO and run the clock down. The conditions weren’t bad for kicking a chip shot. Why would you ever leave 35 seconds with a timeout for Miami and risk Waddle/Hill/or a BS pass interference when you have Bass-O-Matic from chip shot range? This is a non issue. They did the right thing and it worked. 13 pages for this? Wow.
  4. I preferred this type of game honestly. I mean my heart didn’t, but in retrospect this is another W that keeps these guys humble and hungry. Battle tested. Nothing better than getting the ball with 5:56 left and methodically, slowly, tearing the guts out of the Fins and their lame fan base. That’s championship level football right there and it came against a big rival in a very meaningful game. Throw in the snow globe 4th quarter and it was one of those once in a decade (although with Josh it’s becoming once a year) wins. 11-3. On to Chicago. One game at a time. It’s going to be like this until the season is over.
  5. 11-3. We are on to (Chicago) Cincinnati. That’s all that matters. My god people, they weren’t throwing hand grenades, relax. There has never been a football game full of snow where snowballs weren’t thrown. I love the fan police on this board.
  6. I think the best outcome for us is for it to stay cold as hell and the snow holds off. Heavy snow would be an equalizer while just frigid temps will definitely effect Miami more than us.
  7. I absolutely love a good snow game (from the comfort of my couch). Buffalo is the better team no question but there’s going to be a lot more randomness than usual in this game. We cannot let them establish a running game, and tackling the short routes immediately is going to be a priority. Need to force Tua off his first read and to throw outside the numbers. On offense, I’d love to see a solid running game / down field play action shots with the short/intermediate passing game being our go to. I don’t care how we do it, just get the W
  8. I agree with all this. That’s why it’s the job of the coach/staff/NFL to protect players from themselves Fish McD had the biggest fail putting Tua back in with a big assist from the NFL. That was outright disgusting. Saleh failed allowing White to go back in. After that Milano hit he should have stayed on the bench. 2 coaches more concerned with W’s than their player’s health
  9. I can’t believe the bellyaching over a couple feet of snow. Even people on here acting like this isn’t something we don’t handle multiple times every year. I tend to like Sal M’s takes but this one is horrendous. It’s Buffalo. We get snow. We play football in the snow. Now STFU. I’m more interested in what the Fin’s McD is going to do for a gameplan. How’s he going to adjust to 2 games of being out coached? Their scheme has to adjust a bit so what are they going to do? I suspect they are going to commit to the run more and try and hit the short passes to open up their bread and butter intermediate middle routes. If I’m the Bills, I run our standard zone D most of the time mixed in with some press man on third down. I’d drop Edmunds a little deeper to cover that intermediate middle route. We absolutely need to shut down their run game - with our Zone D variations I think our front 4 with Milano/Johnson and run fits by Poyer should bottle that up. They will hit short passes against the zone so need to TACKLE which has been very lacking after a few good games at the season’s start. I think it’s imperative to stop the run, rally to tackle the short passes, and force Tua by scheme to try and hit Middle-deep outs. I don’t think he has the arm to do it especially in the wind/snow
  10. Liquid just north of the city. Not sleet. Just cold miserable rain
  11. We don’t need to see anything new from Bease. All we need is for him to get open in the middle 4-7 yards down the field, catch the ball and fall down. The beauty of Bease is that no linebacker is going to cover him and even if they know what’s coming they can’t stop it. This will open things up for our other receivers. Maybe down the road you might see a wrinkle for Bease but getting him up to speed now I think entails just having him do what he does best
  12. Karma is a b*tch. I don’t hate Jerry, don’t like him either. I just find it hilarious in this day and age he’d be so stupid to voice an opinion like that publicly and recorded. What a clown. You can’t put yourself out there as the guy everyone loves to hate and then give the public the gun and bullets at the same time.
  13. Look at the tweet above your post. Solid timing.
  14. It’s Buffalo! The city of Second Chances! We LOVE when guys come back (see Phillips, Lawson, Brown) especially if they have a little something left in the tank. Idk if Cole does but doesn’t hurt to take a look. Putting the BAND back together! I love this move if it happens. Not because I think we’d get 2020 Cole back, we just need SOMEONE who can catch the ball 4-5 yards down the field and fall down. It’s a devastating indictment on how poor our WR room has developed but I like that McBean are kicking all the tires to do what they can. If Cole comes back he will be embraced by most of the fans. I’m sure those with sand still in their vagines about his tweets will be bent out of shape but maybe their tune will change when he catches a couple of first downs that McDropsie would let bounce off his hands again.
  15. Marino has the best pod out there in my opinion. I like the regimented format because he does his homework and backs up his opinions with a lot of good statistical info so I know what I’ll be getting. I find his takes reasonable and well thought out and maybe I like listening because I tend to agree with a lot of it. The crossover pods used to be great but they have kind of sucked lately, and Joe has this tendency to sound like a cheerleader for the opposing team. Think Belichik during the SB years when he’d be asked about playing our garbage Buffalo teams. He’d make us sound like world beaters and like the Pats* would be lucky to win. That’s kinda what Joe has developed into this season. Anyway, it’s a great pod, its only 30 minutes so fits right into my drive to work. Lots of good info, and there’s even a comedy segment once a week where he brings on “Doctor” Kyle Trimble to give his mostly wrong predictions on the injury front. “Ahh, I couldn’t really see the injury, might have happened in the second quarter, looks like an ankle or a gunshot wound to the thigh, might be day to day or the funeral is next week, let’s see if he practices”. Thanks doc
  16. Can someone tell me what our offensive identity is, because I have no clue. I rarely see any rhythm or flow to the offense. I think Dorsey just puts a 70/30 mix of random pass/run plays and formations in a hat and pulls one each play. He cheats a little though because he’s got a larger chip which says “Fk it, spread everyone out and let Josh figure it out” and he pulls that one out when he gets nervous. Seriously though, idk what this team does well except “Diggs get open” and Singletary running between the tackles every now and then. Despite this, our O is ranked pretty high and we are capable of putting up points. Which leads me to believe that Josh being Josh is responsible for the majority of our offensive success. We have to do a better job scheming guys open for easy gimme throws especially early in the game to get Josh in rhythm. I’d also call an early Josh power run so he can hit someone. We’ve all seen it, as soon as Josh does one of those runs he settles down and starts making plays.
  17. Who cares about the MVP? The only trophy that matters is the Super Bowl We are on to Miami
  18. Dorsey was hand picked by Josh, he’s not going anywhere. What he needs to do is develop a more consistent gameplan that attacks a defenses weaknesses instead of resorting to the “make it happen Josh” offense we tend to see a lot of. He finally did this with NE and I thought maybe he turned the corner. Then we come back to to Jets and he reverted back to the vanilla offense. Limited motion, abandoning the run, not attacking the middle of the field (Jet’s weakness). I’m Joe Average Couch Fan. I was probably close to around 50% at predicting the exact offensive play call just by looking at the formation and knowing their tendencies. If I can do that and I don’t know jack, then the defenses have got to be clued in big time to what is coming. That doesn’t mean the D will stop every play since we do have a talented roster, but go ask Tom Brady how much easier it is to execute when you know what the opposing team is doing.
  19. It’s a combination of Dorsey still learning on the job and not having any elite weapons other than Diggs. After the NE game I thought he had see the light. Multiple formations, motion, running the ball and actually attacking a defenses weaknesses. This gameplan didn’t attack the Jet’s weaknesses which were the middle of the field and their LBs in coverage. It worked, but it worked because our D played lights out and Allen did Allen things without turning the ball over. Look at a play caller like Reid - he schemes open players who aren’t any more skilled than our guys on the regular. Dorsey doesn’t do that yet consistently. He’s got 4 more games to improve before the stakes get real high.
  20. SOMEONE CHECK ON FILTHY BEAST!
  21. What are you smoking? This D-line has been better the last 2 weeks than when Von was playing
  22. This was a hard fought, gritty, tough win against a Divisional opponent. I don’t care how it gets done, we got the needed W. That being said, my Dorsey-meter is shifting more negative after that horrendous game plan a week after I thought he called his best game of the season against New England. How TF does he not have a plan to exploit those LBs in coverage? It took him 2 quarters to make any type of adjustment and start throwing over the middle. That should have happened after the first 3 and out. D-line has been playing lights out since Von went down. Interesting. McKenzie should have all his touches given to Shakir except for a few gadget plays. He can’t catch the easy ones and isn’t dependable. He’s not going to cut it in the playoffs. Knox finally gets a few touches. How he has not been more involved in the game plans is beyond me. Figure it out Dorsey. Allen is a warrior. Even when he’s not “On” he makes things happen. He keeps bailing out Dorsey on his raw ability. Why does it seem so many other teams have easy throws schemed wide open for receivers but Josh is almost always throwing into tight windows. Pisses me off Again, great W. Gotta win these, it sharpens us for the playoffs. I’d like more help from the OC though.
  23. WE ARE DOOMED!!! My god the bellyaching here is getting to epic proportions. Yeah, it would be nice of Elam developed as quickly as White did. We knew he’d take some time to develop zone skills. They picked him because he has a high ceiling and has the drive and intelligence to work to get there (like Josh, like Edmunds, etc). Like the rest of you, I have no idea why McD benched him for a game. I’ll be concerned if he get benched again tomorrow. My GUESS is that it’s a combo of zone heavy scheme, rookie wall management, more rest for the ankle injury, maybe a little kick in the azz that we know McD likes to do from time to time (McKenzie was benched, Cook got benched early, etc).
  24. If it’s the real flu, all these guys will be hurting substantially on Sunday if they play at all. If it’s the “I have a bad cold but I’m going to call it the Flu” Flu, they will be in much better shape
