  1. I have a scar on my arm from putting it through a window, so yeah..I remember this game
  2. it's been this way for a long time now. During a Bills away trip to Denver maybe 10 years ago I met a guy at Lodos bar who said he does computer work for the team and before I could even complete my question he said words to the effect of 'yeah I know the web site sucks' and how frustrated they were when they lost a lot of their creative control
  3. I am petrified to buy any new jerseys after being burned so many times in the past, but I might have to take a chance on Tre because he's so awesome
  4. Land of the Lost, used to scare the willies out of me and ignited my fascination for dinosaurs that exists to this day And my whole world stopped when Wonder Woman was on, and the Muppet Show too
  5. I took a 40 hour train trip when I moved to Denver in 96. No exaggeration I was friggin delirious by the time we pulled in to Union Station. Could not sleep in the upright seats to save my life so that probably had a lot to do with it. I don't remember seeing any train tracks near the Tetons so not sure how much you will see? The eastern (Wyoming) side is the most picturesque... a mile of vertical rise with no foothills
  6. Sorry Elite; I quoted your post but my anger was not intended to be in your direction. I'm just frustrated that a team and league that I've supported for decades is trying to force me to get an expensive device that I don't want or need for any other purpose.
  7. I am on a computer 9 hours a day for work, and god knows how many hours at home - I don't need to be connected while I'm driving or enjoying time off actually looking at and experiencing the world. I don't have a smart phone, I don't need a smart phone, I don't want a smart phone. Yes I can go to the box office and get them printed, but it's annoying to spend tailgating time (which for some games is the only fun of the day) standing in another line. /rant
  8. What else is easy peezy would be to scan my CC or DL at the gate like they have done for every event I've attended at the Pepsi Center for years now. Everybody is happy, and no one has to stand in yet another line on game day.
  9. With all the amazing options you have for chow out there in WNY I'm surprised anyone patronizes fast food chains regularly
  10. The James Corden carpool karaoke with Sir Paul was pretty cool if you haven't seen it yet
  11. Taking full advantage of having Red Rocks around the corner, going to 2 x Tedeschi Trucks Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, Gov't Mule, and Rodrigo y Gabriela. Also I'll probably feel a little out of place, but I managed to get a ticket to Bruno Mars at the Pepsi Center - I don't like all his songs but dig when he channels James Brown in songs like 'Perm'
  12. These people take their family photos with Chiefs gear on. Their stadium lots smell amazing with all the wood smoke; we saw someone light their charcoal in the back of their open bed pickup truck while stuck in traffic entering the lot. After initial boo-ing when they saw our Bills colors, most of them invited us over to share food and talk about our team and many complimented us for traveling to support them. These are upper echelon fans in KC and they get a lot of respect in my book
  13. And chicken wings were his favorite
  14. I'm happy to tip the scale to Neil, even if only momentarily I used to dislike his voice a long time ago. But then again I also once disliked the taste of beer! I saw him rock a whole bunch of shows over the years, but it became especially clear when I started picking up the guitar. Neil Young songs are some of the best to play when first learning because they are familiar and often use simple open chords with just one little hook somewhere that you need to learn, and will make you a better player Highly recommend Neil if you like his songs and are also thinking about learning to play an acoustic guitar use hyperrust.org for tabs
  15. You mentioned a 'lack of overall talent' in the band, I believe talent includes songwriting - that's the only reason I got on the defensive. Whether or not the Experience counts in the ever-subjective 'best rock band' category is probably a discussion in itself
  16. Wow you have a serious standard to live up to! Even putting the guitar to the side, he penned the lyrics to pretty much all their songs which puts him into elite songwriter category in my book. He wrote a massive amount of hits for The Who.
  17. Curious who in The Who would you consider to be the weak link in talent?
  18. This may well be true, but I feel we need to differentiate 'band' from a solo artist in this instance. It's for this same reason I have to eliminate any of the Hendrix lineups from our 'best band' discussions. But your point is still well taken and has me reading and learning more about Buddy this morning.
  19. Nearly every party I attend these days seems to end up with the inevitable drunken Beatles vs Zep who was the best band ever argument. Live, no question Zep, and the Stones, are a cut above.. and a lot of other bands too really. But for me the crown goes to the most influential, and from what I can surmise is the Beatles were the first band to take the music industry from 'play what you're supposed to play' (ie. pander to the radio and record company executives) to NO we will record what we want to record and produce how we want to produce, essentially putting the power into the hands of the artists where it belongs.
  20. That seems to be very popular suggestion.. Please make it go away! You will be a hero
  21. By far and away my favorite TV personality. No Reservations revolutionized travel television and I thought he was a perfect ambassador for NYC while he traveled the world. I feel like my balls have been kicked up into my stomach this morning upon hearing this news.
  22. the next coronation will be something to see, the wedding isn't my cup of tea though
  23. It wasn't until I lived in a different state that I realized how many Bills fans there are outside of WNY.. and just how passionate they can be! In fact it was a Bills fan from Minnesota that introduced me to Kenny and the Red Pinto tailgate about 20 years ago. These aren't transplants I'm talking about either.. they just got bit by the bug like the rest of us, often in childhood it seems
  24. Melatonin helps me sometimes - it seems to be pretty benign but I try to use it sparingly anyway. Could be placebo but I don't care, if it works it works. I stay away from light as much as possible near bedtime including tv, phones, reading lights, etc. and also use a sleep mask (the kind with the convex cups so you can blink at night without touching the fabric) which seems to help avoid that little shot of adrenaline I sometimes get when I notice dawn light and know I have to be up soon.. Also turn the alarm clock to face away from your bed; there's no need to know what time it is if it's not time to get up yet! Good luck
  25. If you think about it, it doesn't even make sense. The train horn indicates a big heavy object moving on tracks with momentum that can't be stopped. But we play it when we're on DEFENSE (3rd downs) - which to me makes it seem like we can't stop the offense...
