  1. I really wish the Simpsons would go away. It pains me to say that because it used to be my all-time favorite show. But I have barely watched it in the last 10-15 years, and the few times I have I maybe chuckle once or twice per episode. Such a far cry from the sidesplitting belly laughs in the 90's when the show would almost literally stop my entire college in its tracks when it came on tv. I thought it would be okay if it wrapped up neatly with a 25th season, but apparently they are hell bent on riding the bell cow straight into the ground, and to me this is a travesty to one of the greatest animated shows of all time. /rant
  2. the term "Woodstock Brand name" makes my skin crawl
  3. Viva Los Bills works for me
  4. 11 year old car with 71k. Worked from home for years saving a lot of miles. I always drive my cars into the ground - can't stand the buying/selling process..
  5. to be clear, when you guys say All In you mean trading next year's 1st? otherwise I'm not sure how you have the option
  6. BPA overall, or BPA in a position of need? Devin White might fall to us and be the BPA but all seem to agree that would muddy the waters
  7. 9 would be quite a cost for a player who needs shoulder surgery
  8. Trade down, use the loot to help pick up an elite OT or EDGE and my worries go right out the window
  9. Assuming a QB also goes in the top 8, and Bosa and Allen are also gone, that would leave at least two of Devin White, Jawaan Taylor, and TJ Hockenson available. Picking DK over these guys would be pretty remarkable
  10. I'm worried about the age thing. I mean this is a top 10 pick, assuming no trade-down. I don't know if that's worth it for a guy who will be 24 by the end of this year. If I have to pick 1, I'd say Oliver. But either of the top 2 OT's would be fine, and I've warmed up to Hock so I'd be ok with this too
  11. In Wyoming, Bill is Col. William F "Buffalo Bill" Cody!
  12. very curious to see the changes after they close for 2 years (starting 'late 2019') for expansion
  13. I know they want it done by the 2024 Summer Olympics, but my understanding is it could take years just to assess the damage. It's not like you can just grab a trowel and mortar and start having at it. But I wish them all the luck they need to do it.
  14. I have seen hotel prices double or even worse when the schedule goes public. Sometimes minutes matter.
  15. this is actually a lot better than I expected!
  16. some optimism; a French official has said the main structure has been "saved and preserved", and this includes the two bell towers *he also notes that a significant amount of artwork was able to be removed by firefighters
  17. I'm still holding out hope that the 2 towers will stay standing, at least giving something that could be used as a starting point for rebuilding. But everything I'm hearing on BBC and other news reports is that they are still very much in jeopardy.
  18. I posted a short review of the Denver show on page 2 of the Summer 2019 Concerts thread. Absolutely loved it.
  19. 3 for 3 on booster recovery - awesome accomplishment
  20. "Bills fans" not "Bill fans" thanks
  21. He was awesome when he visited our Bills Backers group in Denver.
  22. we had one a few years back that was so bad it closed an entire mall for a whole year due to roof damage. every car in the parking lot was bashed up and we saw hail damaged cars driving around for months because all of the dent removal shops were backed up. fortunately no one got hurt, but it put a lot of people and businesses out of work. we get some bad ones here in CO
  23. any Zicam users/believers here? I have tried it, upon feeling the first symptoms of a cold coming on, but really have no idea if it's being effective or not. I don't want to be too quick to credit it if I don't develop a full cold because often times that happens all by itself.
  24. lots of bands these days have fan clubs that provide codes for pre-sale tickets. even if the fan clubs charge a membership fee, one can often find the codes by diligently searching facebook comments, twitter posts, and band community forums. this isn't likely going to get you any 'best deals' though, but they will get you early access to tickets for shows that might sell out pretty quickly and thus you can avoid the stubhub seatgeek etc aftermarket. For example, I already have tickets to all the Red Rocks shows I'm attending this summer and the dates are still months away. Personally I wouldn't want to wait until right around showtime to be scrambling to get tickets, however I am sure there will be always be those who have to cancel on late notice and will likely take whatever they can get on the aftermarket web sites. But I just wouldn't want to play this game if it's a band I really want to see. Good luck!
