It should be one of the more interesting QB carousel offseasons in 2018... Will Kapernick actually find a new home? And usually by now the Bills are being talked about in relation to coaching changes... What a surreal end to the season...

Congrats to Kyle Williams!!!
DefenseWins replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a classy move by the Bills and McD... Kyle's been a classy player throughout his career... Nice that he actually gets a playoff game as well... -
What happens to Tyrod next year?
DefenseWins replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont know where he will end up or how he will get there but I wish him the best as he has handled the situation about as well as one could reasonably expect. He seems like a class guy. Hope he wins today. If you are on your way out you might as well go out with a bang! -
the TT bashing is just so tiresome
DefenseWins replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would have been happy with either Watson or Mahomes in last years #10 spot... But nobody is "scapegoating" TT... We've seen him play... He simply is not good enough and at this point in his career never will be... So now unless you want to sign Keenum or Cousins for huge bucks in FA the Bills need to trade up for one of these QBs in this years draft... I don't have a personal favorite here... Hopefully the Bills can pick their right guy... -
DL and LB groups are more pressing need than QB
DefenseWins replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah... Like when we went to the moon... We never should have tried going cause we might have failed.... BLAH - BLAH - BLAH... -
Sam Bradford To The Bills..? Puke
DefenseWins replied to corta765's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Frankly, I'd rather obtain Keenum than Bradford and still draft the best QB we can find... -
And people still argue about whether the new stadium that is eventually built downtown should be a dome/retractable roof vs open air...

These next two weeks are gonna be very interesting... One would think that this is the most likely W remaining on the Bills schedule... I could handle them blowing this game at home and seeing the Raiders and Chargers kick KC's butt these next two weeks...

Early returns on biggest bust of 2017 draft ...
DefenseWins replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Most WR's take 2-3 seasons to mature... I have pointed out several times that Eric Moulds for example, sucked at first, before turning it around in his 3rd season... Zay Jones will be fine - just give him some time... -
The KC pick could get interesting in that the Chiefs next two opponents are the Raiders and the Chargers...There's a real chance that they lose both games and finish out of the playoffs entirely...
-
On the KC (6-6) front I see that they will be playing against the Raiders (6-6) and Chargers (6-6) these next two weeks... Could be that they don't make the playoffs... That pick is starting to look a bit better... If the Bills should lose to Indy this week they could still be headed for a top 10 pick, assuming a 6-10 finish...
-
So, 4-12 predictors...how's that working out?
DefenseWins replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I started out at 6-10... I then revised it downward to 4-12 after the trades... Opening day I said that both teams were very bad and that the Bills could be contending for a top 5 draft pick... So they are at 5 wins and may get blown away the next two weeks by KC and N.Eng... with one more loss to N.Eng later on to come... A split with Miami? All this seems pretty consistent with my forecasts going into this season... So where are all those "Koolaid Drinkers" who were talking "Playoffs" a couple weeks ago? -
I think Shady is gone if he wants to go elsewhere, otherwise he might stay "to sell tix"... Glenn is almost certain to be gone... Clay probrably gone too...
-
Most importantly, they now have the cap under control. Glenn and K. Williams will be gone at the end of the season. Will Clay and Shady be back? Now they just need to draft a QB early and OL help...
-
Yeah, but the "Rockpile" had way better hot dogs! Grilled right before your very eyes... And mustard in huge, sloppy dispensers!! Yummy... And the beer wwas cheaper in those days too!!!

Does anyone else feel numb to this?
DefenseWins replied to TonyBeets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Be Honest Guys! Didn't a rather large percentage of us fans expect a 6 win season? And it should give Beane & McD a better shot at drafting the QB that they want in the offseason. -
Lets just go for Kirk Cousins in the offseason
DefenseWins replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Cousins gets MORE than 25 million per season... 25 is the floor... -
It was a TANK season all along - - get it !!!
DefenseWins replied to Punt75's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
FOLLOW THE MONEY! That's what this has ALL been about... The Bills under Whaley screwed up the salary cap big time. When McD came in, he realized that this team was already in "Salary Cap Hell" with a bunch of players making/or soon to be making huge amounts of money/salary cap space that was simply undeserved. When you look at the money that was being consumed by the so-called "stars" of this team (TT, Dareus, Gilmore, Watkins, Clay, Shady and to a lesser extent Darby and Glenn) vs what they were achieving on the field it became obvious that deep changes in the roster had to be made. Once you realize that TT was not the franchise QB and that even if you get lucky and draft your franchise QB in 2018 you have to realize that younger guys are gonna be drafted to fill out the team around him. You simply have to upgrade the surrounding talent to make the young QB successful in the long term. Clay and Glenn in particular have been and will probrably be too "injury prone" to continue paying such large salaries to in the future and Kyle Williams will most likely retire after this season as well. The immediate decision to be made is whether or not Peterman has the talent to be the franchise QB or not, so that they know whether to go hard after one of the top 3 QB's in the draft or whether they can stay put and use their own pick to draft somebody to compete with Peterman. Either way they need to draft a QB highly even if they like Peterman's chances. -
I don't see any mystery here at all... I think that McD and Beane knew when they came here that the plan was going to be to draft a better QB in the offseason to replace TT... I don't think they wanted it to be an obvious tank though... I also think it is pretty obvious that no other team was too anxious to sign TT last offseason as he reportedly took a pay cut to remain here... None of us knows how Peterman has been looking in practice or how much time he has been putting into film studies and/or how well he really understands the offense... With this being a road game though in front of a fairly neutral crowd and the fact they have lost their last two games badly now seems like a good time to give the kid his shot assuming that he may have impressed McD with his preparation skills and knowledge of the offense... I don't see starting Peterman as hurting the team's chances of making the playoffs... If anything he may actually increase their chances of doing so. Win-Win I'd say...
