  1. That is not a "problem" at all. Not in any respect really. Nobody goes into the NFL draft expecting to "hit" on all their picks. No GM is naive enough to believe that. But it if were to happen, youd' thank your lucky stars and make whatever decisions are best at that time for the future of your team. And remember the Giants have a very narrow window if they want to win one more SB with Eli... No one player they take at #2 is gonna be able to contribute as much as these 6 possible front line players might over time... It's a gamble... Either way...
  2. Usually Wings/Pizza and ESPN on one TV while NFL Network is on another... Several websites tabbed on my Desktop computer... Cellphone app probrably set to WGR55 for draft talk... Thurs and Friday evening...
  3. Saw this on PFT... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/03/31/seahawks-g-m-urges-fans-to-trust-the-process/ Have we started something?
  4. Just wait till Jerry Jones cuts Dez Bryant. Then sign him. Problem solved.
  5. Theres still 4 weeks to go... Save the best for last?
  6. Damn! Beat me to it! I know it's unlikely, but What a way for a rookie QB to come in and throw to a guy like Dez... Dez is still as good and tough as I have seen...
  7. Not saying I agree with your plan BUT... If that is the way u want to go shouldn't the Bills try to trade Shady now, while we can still get something for him? Maybe as part of a deal to move up to #2?
  8. Mayfield reminds me of Flutie with a better arm! I liked Flutie. I could like Mayfield.
  9. You could just cover up the name and "Rename" the Jersey...
  10. A. I don't want SOMEBODY to be the Bills QB... B. None of the top 4 (Darnold,Allen,Rosen,Mayfield) are likely to make it past 6 much less 12... C. Arizona and Miami are just two of the teams that could make a move up (don't forget Denver either in this equation)... It is not unreasonable to trade up top #4 if Rosen for example would be there (assuming he is Beane's guy). 12, 22 and 2019 #1 is not unreasonable when you have a conviction that "your guy" is available at #4... We are talking about likely 3 mid 1st round picks here... It's actually a small price to pay... And with $100 million or more in cap space available next year you can literally BUY yourself the equivalent of a #1 draft choice next year... Let's be REAL here...
  11. Using your predicted top 3 picks, if Rosen is still there at #4, You move heaven and earth to get him at 4... Assuming he is Beane's guy, isn't 3 mid round #1 picks (12, 22, 2019 #1) a fair price to pay for a quality QB who may play for you for the next 15 years? Works for me...
  12. Granted that Tampa is not much of a team in terms of wins but I'd hardly blame Evans for that... He's got 32 career TD's and averages over 1000yds each of his 4 seasons... He's got that consistency that a QB can depend on... I don't recall him making a fool of himself either as opposed to how OBJ does...
  13. I'm just glad that the Bills won't be one of the teams paying these two (Watkins & OBJ) the ridiculous amounts of money they are asking for. Mike Evans was clearly the class of that years draft. His production speaks for itself. Don't be surprised when both these head cases are with new teams again in a couple of years. "Skill Sets" don't win football games. Players that PRODUCE win football games...
  14. I don't know where u r getting your rather detailed info about what each team wants. But what I was saying was that giving up the 2019 1st rd pick would NOT be a "deal-breaker" in my opinion as some around here have intimated. Or to put it another way, 3 #1 picks is not a deal breaker for me at all whether it be 12 and 22 this year and 2019 #1 OR even 12, 2019 and 2020 #1 picks if you want it that way... and a few other picks if necesary to sweeten the deal... And with the $100 million in cap space next year to fill some holes this team will be fine... You'll see...
  15. Look at it this way. Peterman has every incentive now to come into camp with a chip on his shoulder. This is his opportunity to come in and say (presuming the Bills bring in a rookie QB as well as McCarron) "You guys are gonna have to win this job." I'm hoping that Peterman steps up to the plate big time. We'll see what he has in him. A dollar and a dream eh?
  16. ABSOF**KINLUTELY YEAH! And if it helps I'd be all in on offering the Giants 12, 22 and next years #1 if that became necessary... If Rosen/Darnold were available at #2 I'd do it in an instant... It is that important... Hell - I'm even starting to warm to the idea of Josh Allen....
  17. But tell us how u REALLY FEEL.... Also you forgot to mention that the Bills got a 2nd rd draft pick out of the Watkins trade... An extra 1st rd pick out of the KC trade up last year that may still be useful in one manner or another - the draft isn't for another month yet... I also would not exactly refer to Cordy Glenn as our "Starting LT". He hasn't been that for a couple of years now. Dion Dawkins has taken over and after a rough start has improved quite a bit - making Cordy expendable... That draft pick is also yet to be used as well... It's also not McBean's fault that Dareus turned into such a lump of coal... After this year he is off the books and next year the Bills should have over a hundred million in available cap space to restock the shelves as it were... That is a very good thing... Hopefully, Zay gets his act together... "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger"... We have all made mistakes in life - things we regret having done... maybe Zay actually learns something and devotes himself to being the football player we all want him to be... Nobody got seriously hurt this time... Let's hope he takes what happened to heart... By the way, not to digress here but Whaley actually made that pick... So cut Beane a little slack - at least until after the draft...
  18. If we are asking Gettleman to pass on drafting Barkley and trade us the #2 pick, would it be unreasonable for him to insist that we throw Shady in on the deal? Would that be a "deal breaker"? 12-22-53-56-65 and Shady?
  19. Actually, this draft is fairly similar to the 1983 draft... Lots of choices... Different styles of QB... After Elway at #1 there were alot of differing opinions on the other QB's...
  20. EJ was the result of Buddy Nix's draft... Beane has already demonstrated that he is a much better GM than Buddy Nix ever was IMHO...
  21. I agree with "the gentlemen's agreement" part but there is no way that Clev does not pick a QB at #1... Assuming it is Darnold, I believe that the Bills will attempt to trade with Indy 1st but failing that will do the fall back deal with Clev for #4... This also assumes that the Giants pick Barkley at #2... We shall see...
  22. I like Mayfield too. But if McBean thinks Darnold or Rosen is the better choice I will support that choice all the way. TT was simply not good enough and I fully support the trade of TT to Clev. The fact that McBean made that deal and hasn't signed any FA QB's tells me that he almost certainly knows that he can get a deal done for a top 3 QB... It wouldn't surprise me if He already has a contingency plan with Clev for #4 should the need arise. (I don't think that it will though) I believe that Clev will draft their QB at #1. I also believe that the Bills will trade for either #2 or #3... Just Chill and BILLIEVE!
  23. Everybody, sit down and relax. Open up a brew and/or have a Toke. McBean has things under control. BILLIEVE in THE PROCESS!! A Top 3 QB is what the target is... That is what's gonna happen... I have seen it all in my crystal ball!
  24. Why is it reckless? The worst that happens if the rookie sucks, Peterman comes in and throws a slew of interceptions, and/or we have to suffer watching Moore - is that they go 0-16 and we get the #1 draft pick at next years draft... Works for me...
