  1. If McBean is as smart as we think he is I'd be surprised if we haven't had substantive talks with Clev, NYG and Indy by now... I gotta believe that Clev drafts a QB at #1... Assuming the report about Cousins to Minn is accurate, I think Denver goes after Keenum and it basically is a race between the Jets and the Bills as far as trading up is concerned... Both the Giants and Indy are in dire need of OL help to protect their own QB's... This is not a great year for drafting OL... Not a lot of really good OL FA either... Is Barkley really a great pick for either team vs acquiring several picks apiece from Buffalo and NYJ? My prediction is the Bills work out a deal with the Giants as early as this coming week...
  2. I don't have a favorite in this race. McBean was hired to do the job. I like the Bills moves so far. I trust in McBean and "The Process". Whether it's Rosen, Mayfield, Darnold or even Allen I trust in this FO to make the right moves...
  3. One QB will be just fine, thank you. Just as long as it's the right guy. Beane seems to be doing a good job. Let's see who he chooses, eh...
  4. Did Incarcerated Bob predict the TT trade? If not that should tell you something...
  5. I'd like to see them go with Preston Brown and maybe Vinny Curry?
  6. So Shefter should have said that the Browns still have 5 of the top 64 picks...
  7. FREE AGENCY hasn't started yet...
  8. If the Bills acquired the 65th pick in the draft, how does Shefter say that the Browns STILL have 5 picks in the top 65 picks? It should read that Buffalo has 5 of the top 65 picks...
  9. I am glad that TT went out with a bang... Good guy... And he'll do alright for himself considering that he was a 6th round pick to start... Time now for the Bills to move on to their "Franchise QB"...
  10. Actually McCown makes alot of sense as a solid vet backup....
  11. Does anybody still believe that stuff about Beane "staying put"...
  12. I'd be surprised if there was another deal in place with Clev for the 4th pick... More likely a tradeup to #2 or #3 I think...
  13. Acquiring McCarron doesn't involve wasting a draft pick for one thing... And although I mention it as a possibility I am not advocating it necessarily... But assuming a big tradeup is going to happen for Rosen? Mayfield? or Darnold? McCarron could be a nice bridge QB and eventually either trade bait down the road or a quality veteran backup QB...
  14. Why is everyone I see assuming that we are "trading" for Foles? Isn't signing McCarron at least as likely? Or Bridgewater even as a bridge?
  15. And you believe that the Colts are gonna tell some beat writer about their actual draft day plans? For that matter can you ever recall Chris Brown being the 1st to announce anything of this kind that the Bills have ever done? This is "LIEING TIME". Believe nothing you hear about anything until it is officially announced. That would be my advice...
  16. Any of the 3-4 works for me... That means for me that we trade up to either #2 or #3... I am gonna guess that it the trade happens BEFORE draft night though... You don't want to take any chances of someone else jumping ahead of you (like the loser of the Cousins/Keenum sweepstakes) Why wait till draft night?
  17. Sorry, my bad... Yes, Mike Evans... The main point I was making though is that neither Watkins nor Ebron have lived up to their draft position...
  18. They say that "a great QB makes everyone around him better". Never heard that said about WR's...
  19. Boy, I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall if/when someone asked Ray Lewis this kind of question.... Or Bruce Smith for that matter....
  20. http://www.buffalobills.com/video/videos/Life-on-the-Sidelines-David-Culley/2014dbf7-5172-430f-9da3-84ae130000bd This piece might be helpful...
  21. Of course we were right to bash Whaley... I didn't like it when it was announced... I had said/meant that the Bills/Whaley were as wrong about Watkins as they would have been if they had stayed put and drafted Ebron. I'm not a huge fan of Odell either but for different reasons. Mike Williams was the best WR of that draft for the record.
  22. How were we right? Neither player panned out as many thought/hoped they would. Two wrongs don't make a right. Just another example of how many/most 1st round picks don't pan out. Hypothetically, assuming that the Bills trade up to #2 or #3 say and it costs them 3 #1 picks (#21-#22 and a similar 1st in 2019) How many of those picks are likely to pan out? Seems to me that the Bills got incredibly lucky with the Tre'Davious White pick. How many CB's drafted in or near that same slot perform as well on the field? That's just one reason I am all in on trading up this year if the FO determines that one or more of these QB's has the makings of a franchise guy.
  23. Actually, the rumor I heard was that Whaley was gonna draft him if the trade for Watkins hadn't gone through...
  24. First, I think you really need to trade for either #2 or #3 if you want to be sure and get one of the top 3 QBs. If Minn signs Cousins, either the Broncos or Jets will most likely sign Keenum who has similar stats this past year to Cousins. Whichever team loses out is gonna try to trade up as well. If Cleveland has any common sense at all they will pick a QB with the 1st pick overall. Chubb should be their pick at #4... Running backs just shouldn't be drafted that high... RB's take alot of hits and have a relatively short shelf life in most cases.
  25. I'm not so sure that if Cousins signs with Minnesota it would be bad for the Bills. If that happens I wouldn't be surprised if Denver turns around and signs Keenum which would put their pick potentially in play. And no one knows where McCarron will end up either at this point. Stay Tuned...
