restructure a few guys, and cut a couple others. if you can send taysom to Houston in the package it’d be a huge win. Brees could officially retire after June 1 also as a zero impact to the roster but big cap swing option
-
they don’t even have to convert 50% to come out ahead going for it. You have to take the shot. You aren’t winning with fgs there so I’d rather lose not converting touchdowns

russ Brandon really ruined some of you by selling the cash to cap structure. it’s not the overwhelming structure here nor is it particularly viable. The only way you are getting low bonus, and low guaranteed salary guys is if you are getting either bad or high risk players.

signing bonus will amortize evenly across the first 5 years of any deal. the rest would depend greatly on the contracts themselves. For instance josh could rip up the rest and start fresh, or simply add years. Where they add the money would effect the cap hits. If he had a signing bonus, obviously would be the case, that gets amortized

if the chiefs get 5 or so years in championship games, a hard rest for 2-3 years at .500 and then wrap with about 5 or so more of super bowl contention we’d all sign up for that for our team

im half convinced he beat up his off shoulder last week so they avoided called runs like we saw in the wild card. Still a lot of improv or plays where he was allowed to, but no designed power runs. It was a drastic difference after that big hit where he stayed down last week. Could be a coincidence though.

FGs versus TDs against the Chiefs

I was surprised on a few key “and 3” plays we didn’t power run with Josh honestly. 2nd and 3 in the red zone? At least 1 of the next 3 plays should’ve been him taking a shot (unless that off shoulder was actually hurt last week) -
passed well and created turnovers this season. That goes a long way in this league. there was a reason though that I was banging a drum for another splurge in the front 7, or playmaker with the ball. we were close and this might’ve been our easiest shot. on the bright side I think much like looking overwhelmed by the playoffs last year, they came back battle tested this year... I hope next year they will be more ready for the level of intensity in championship games. The chiefs are a little more talented but seemed a lot more intense. That poyer quote about being ready for anything because they’ve been there? They looked like they had not been here. I think they learn from it but we will see.

we were good at all levels, dominant at none. Needed another impact player in the front 7.

it should have been a better game but hard to argue here.

I look at it like the Hail Mary - you don’t want to be 100% predictable but pressure is your friend, and if you don’t have to defend the first 5-10 yards underneath you can still have great coverage while firing a bullet at the qb i don’t blitz 100% there but overloading a spot on the line would be my tactic more often then not

Glazer: Drew Brees officially retiring
NoSaint replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he went back out to play with his kids on the field for a loooong time. It was the end. -
he’s got to pass protocol which is a series of tests vs the measured baseline, no?

That’s probably a bit much
