  1. I mean, I think even the skeptics thought he had just about the strongest arm. Now he’s established himself as mobile in the Nfl. On raw gifts, he’s in rarified air. It’ll just be a matter of how consistent he can become in mechanics and decisions
  2. thats exactly the type of guy you have to be worried about against top teams the next 4 consecutive weeks
  3. what was the point of us bringing in Orton? or kolb? Or cassel? It’s a safe vet floor for them til they have a young guy that can step up. he will be unlikely to get a large dollar long term commitment. He will possibly get low end starter money with year to year structure. Or I think likely much like cam, dalton, Winston, etc... take less to try to go to the right situation during the cap dip and hope to earn a payday later
  4. and I would’ve told you I never said he’d be the qb of the future. do you remember how many terrible retreads we brought in waiting for our guy?
  5. though bb allegedly wanting him over Brady could make it an interesting situation.
  6. For some reason I’m wondering what Sean Payton would do with him as a bridge option. that’ll be a really interesting offseason with Winston a FA, plus wentz and jg and maybe darnold on the trade block and who knows what else.
  7. That’s the silliest way to do it. Either you want to get him reps or you don’t. You don’t play for records.
  8. it has not been consistently split like this long term. Not sure if it’s a 2 year pattern. I think seeing the network breakdown might be more telling then what the OP did. Ie who has which time slots and what order they may be able to claim the prime time games or protect games
  9. I think, much like practicing during bye weeks, it depends on your group. behind the scenes I’m not sure how beat up they are or how much they are creatures of habit. You hear about a guy like free brews going out and simulating a game routine on bye week sundays - getting up, going to the stadium, and essentially running plays in the cadence of a game for a few hours... not sure we as fans will have this answer
  10. you wanted him to give credit for catching the ball in a post that explicitly called out he’s made good catches. that he doesn’t have him as a top 64 wide receiver in the league isn’t killing him. guy has benefited greatly from his role, and made good on the opportunity. He’s got work to do to be diggs or brown. All fair.
  11. yup. We see playoff teams bring in insurance policies regularly. This is a common sense one, even if those guys are in decent shape. Having 4 experienced vets plus the rookie is good stuff. If one misses a game you still have 4 good options to cycle without having to hope for someone stepping up. only so many of those guys out there week 17 but stills qualifies
  12. yea but if bringing in a guy, a guy with talent is nice the dude gave him credit too. why so sensitive?
  13. He’s shown the skill level, but it’s a whole different ball game to play at his best for 15 years consistently. Plenty of good seasons that weren’t indicative of long careers in Nfl history. if he does, sure.
  14. If we end up the 3 seed on the road in the AFC CG you might be bummed about your position Id rather play in buffalo than in Pittsburgh. nothing you said applies to this. What team are you hypothesizing leap frogs us in this?!? That’s an awful strategy to put in place.
  15. it would make sense to keep all 3 spaced. It’s not terribly difficult to sit in opposite corners when in a room together
  16. of course we consider that. Who isn’t considering it? unfortunately for josh, his college resume was also built playing AGAINST non nfl prospects- which was a consideration. do you think these factors aren’t weighed? If they are hurt it’s mostly in image- once benched it’s easier to pull the plug earlier later. I don’t think he’s a different caliber of player due to this move though
  17. 1-3 covered a pretty good section of your add on
  18. Sanders diggs Ridley, or pretty much anyone honestly with the lead you have
  19. calling someone a “b word” is pretty ironic.
  20. there’s a touch of irony there
  21. And yet, they got the TD
