  1. turnover differential is a tricky one as fumble recoveries are a bit random. id venture something like forced fumbles and qb hits would be more indicative than fumbles recovered and interceptions caught
  2. This has been a real struggle, eh? you have all the stats at your fingertips and have used a lot of them but then you go and get hyperbolic with stuff leaving it easy to dismiss. 18-20 carries a game is bell cow back status at 288-320 carries. Last year only 3 guys hit that 18 mark (4if you count mccaffrey a carry shy), any 303 led the league (just shy of 19) Jones was 14.75 per game. Could he get an extra carry each game and the shift 3-4 carries once a month on top of that? Sure, but is that a substantial enough swing to be meaningful? Meh. with focusing on TDs so much it does feel more like a fantasy football argument than a packer win/lose argument.
  3. I can’t tell, are you attributing a quote or answering the question?
  4. honestly, there’s a good chance he was on his last legs even without the hit. I’m not trying to send a Christmas card to the dude that hit him or saying he’s absolved of being an ass for the hit... but I think we can only truly blame him for the short term impact not a career ended
  5. honestly, do you use that resource?
  6. Are we already claiming 3 studs here? modern nfl defenses go to a nickel, honestly. That’s not McD defenses, that’s nfl defenses.
  7. no one ever sees these good 2nd-3rd year qbs becoming “meh” vets. But they end up with depleted coaching staffs and diminished rosters and teams quickly learn whether they can carry the load or if they were being carried I like his odds but it wouldn’t be unheard of to see bad habits drift back in when the situation is less optimal
  8. The alternative would be forfeiting the game. So yes.
  9. oh in that case I guess it’s settled. Prime time 101 knows him and vouches. No further information.
  10. one of the things that made bringing in Rex so maddening. Every time we stocked the shelf we would light it in fire for no apparent reason.
  11. and it’s always the case that fans project EVERY rookie to take 3 big steps forward in the offseason and reality is few make that leap.
  12. to be fair 2 playoff appearances isn’t some major accomplishment from an outside perspective. especially when the last was a melt down that was mocked. it is what it’s always been. Play well and the media will love us. They have always been eager to celebrate our successes. Often quicker than they should. We will see how December goes. Looks to be promising. they are so much more enjoyable.
  13. to be fair, I doubt you do either
  14. checks location of said accusation of wasted time... why yes, football message board. Highly effective use of time. Carry on being judgey
  15. At the end of the Arizona game we should’ve rushed from Hopkins side, not dive at Murray’s feet, and probably just used one arm to get higher on the pass block but otherwise, not a technique issue
  16. If the team is a medical risk to be in contact with each other or the opponent the game is postponed (and played with substantially diminished rosters) or could be cancelled if the team is not a risk, they play as scheduled if after an investigation protocol is violated, fines, loss of picks or suspensions are possible. Suspensions are not always easy given the union and CBA. Heavy institutional fines have been levied and starting to see picks lost. it’s not that complicated once you let go of expecting perfect for every possible situation. Nothing is going to be perfect in this season. It’s pretty darn consistent and not unfair.
  17. the answer is easy, obvious and publicly known. if this is too controversial I’d hate to see reactions to the nfl making decisions based off rushed investigations and arbitrary ratings of how impacted teams are by specific players
  18. And the ravens will still be playing incredibly short handed but without a contagious outbreak being on the field of play. this isn’t difficult. Why are some of you so determined to act like it’s more dramatic than it is?
  19. The point is none of us have much if any information, and you are the only one posting a strong opinion so we were understandably curious where it came from. Especially since it’s contrary to any insight afforded that we generally have access to. but then again you posted the jimmy g comment without a lick of care about the widely known and easy to find fact sooooo yea.
  20. This is a particularly terrible one. Just mind numbing timing.
  21. How do you quantify what he’s learned about team and culture building? The next two years are essentially team options. They could walk away with nearly zero consequence
  22. I know it’s hard to say as a bills fan, but we are in the window where we can overstock talent. generally his record should be among the best as in theory this should be one of the seasons he has the most advantages compared to peers. I don’t think he’s far behind anyone but have a hard time thinking he’s the cream of the crop and best in the entire league.
  23. if that’s the difference, you weren’t that much better.
