Zimmer needs to replace Oliver in starting lineup

We just have so many good LBs that you would plY your DL out of position to make it work -
and if he walks, can angle at getting back a 3 in 2022 via comp picks

Pretty shocking stat I just heard on Michael Kay Show

That’s why some of us keep reminding y’all it should be the goal if not expectation right now -
it’s almost like there’s a lot of people here and the ones feeling empowered by the play are louder any given week.
-
he was 19 just 3 years ago.
-
ultimately, quite a few of us liked the idea of adding someone else in the front 7 and particularly off the edge. it wasn’t that I loved Clowney, it’s that I worried about this and there are only so many 6’5 260lbs athletes that can play with the hand on or off the ground. sitting here 6 in, I’d take Clowney over Murphy/Klein on the perimeter. I don’t think he’d fix the issues but he wouldn’t be a cause of it either.
-
He definitely won’t be a 75% guy suddenly. Where the final number lands is anyone’s guess. Probably low-mid 60s
-
For perspective this is the type of game that in the past people would’ve said “but if you count his runs as completed passes” and “still more TDs than turnovers” im glad the expectation has come up. I think we see a lot of good games from him this year. This one wasn’t particularly good.
-
We should win the division still and probably a home playoff game. That was kind of the minimum expectation for the season. we should meet it still even though a losing streak is no fun

Remember the JA to Wentz comparisons?

that and resettling into a roster that isn’t in the prime “cheap qb window” im excited to ride the crest here and then really figure out where josh lands in 2-3 years with a ring. -
I mentioned it elsewhere but when you are playing 110 mph and hitting people and the offense has to keep an eye on you those mis reads don’t bug me here and there you’ve got to be able to play fast mentally or physically (preferably both, but at least one) and he’s doing neither currently

we live in a pretty amazing world where damn near anything is possible. it’s a terrible baseline for discussion.

actually talking opposite of timid. Perhaps entitled or egocentric would be more on the mark of what I’m talking. But I don’t recall the exact phrases used and they weren’t commonplace commentary. this was in the era of when Timmy was pulling moves like asking EJ if he thought the team should draft another qb then writing stories about how he didn’t take kindly to the question. So i never put toooooo much stock in it but simply remembered a few ego comments when stories like this come out a decade later.
-
For perspective though, I’ve got to point out Cunningham was drafted 5 years before EJ was even born. we are talking about not just a totally different league but also radically different pipeline that players are developing in at that point (ie EJ was going to qb camps that young Randall couldn’t imagine)
-
here we are watching him make excuses/share blame. I don’t recall but think it was Timmy g that made some comments during the super bowl week one year that EJ was a bit immature/not a leader. it’s water under the bridge at this point but I just remember being curious about it a few times because some of the quiet undertones along the way seemed counter to the much louder pristine reputation of being an older, 4 year starter, mature, humble guy. Made me wonder about who the man was behind the marketing campaign as we rarely know too much about these guys. he was already a guy with a ton of reps. At some point you aren’t going to radically change who you are.
-
and yet, he’s not been good at it when given opportunities some of y’all feel the need to not just watch the plane crash but the wreckage smolder before declaring the craft to not be airworthy
-
yup. If he were lighting it up he would have found his way back.
-
We did him no favors. that he continues to talk about it suggests he probably wasn’t doing himself many favors either who he was as a man behind the scenes always seemed an interesting story. We often heard the polished, mature story line but there were a few reports that suggested perhaps otherwise along the way.

Bills File Trademark application on BillsMafia
NoSaint replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
proving ownership of the term would go a long way first. for all you know they could license it back to the guy to use for various charitable projects where they just get approval on design to ensure it meets buffalo bills standards. it makes sense they would want to own the right to branding associated with them. Who knows what will happen from here but they are 100% correct legally and morally to file the claim. -

how would you feel if someone used a similar phrase derogatorily with the bills and/logo to sell Flags/towels to opposing fans at games? if the bills don’t protect it legally here they could lose the right to stop it there. -

that’s patently a terrible standard a lot of fans here are thinking of the fun of when this goes right without realizing the bills can lose the right to protect themselves later when/if it goes wrong if they don’t step up. del could license the term from them for various endeavors but you can’t just steal the team name, or logo. He’s the one that’s created the issue, and put the bills in a lose-lose situation where they have to protect the brand but will look bad cause he’s just a good guy -
